  I have created a application in c# , it reads excel file and after checking some conditions, it select a row to be written in another Excel File. Everything is working fine, but i need to end the file with the DateTime.Now.ToString(). string date = DateTime.Now.ToString(); ExcelWorkSheet2.Cells[newFileRow, 1] = date; When I see the file created, it shows "########" symbol instead of actual date. When I select that cell , it changes to correct date format. What may be going wrong?

  Working in RoR 2.3.x. My quiz_results table has a row for user_id (3907) and result (0.1), and two users I'm looking at with no rows in the quiz_results table. This line keeps returining false: -if QuizResult.find_by_user_id(@user_id).present? But if I change it to anything that returns true, the next line reports an error on the * method: ="#{(QuizResult.average('score', :conditions => 'user_id = #{@user.id}') * 100).round}%" The beginning of the code is a loop: [email protected] do |user| Any ideas how to fix?   I have the following HTML snippet <tr> <td class="1">...</td> <td class="2">...</td> <td class="3">...</td> <td class="4">...</td> </tr> etc... I basically have N rows, and each row contains 4 TD's each with a unique class. I would like a simple way to split out all the rows and TD's by class so I can choose what data I want to use. I expect the easiest way to achieve this would be regex (maybe two). One to split up the TR's then another to split up the TDs (by class preferably) Thanks

I keep facing a: "Column count doesn't match value count at row 1" error. And I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.   Hello, I have some users setup in a MySQL table with different variables. I am trying to figure out what would be the best way to do this. Basically I want to award all of my registered and active users with bids which are stored in another table. So for the Table "users" I have ran this query: SELECT * FROM users WHERE active = 1 AND admin = 0 ORDER BY users.id ASC Which will show all active users who are not administrators. Now I would like to give each one of these users which are identified by the "ID" field in another table. So in the "bids" table I would need to add a new row for each one of those users with all of the same values except for the "user_id" field which will basically match the "id" field of the table "users" What would be the best approach for this. There are approximately 6,000+ users coming up in the first query. Please be gentle as I am not a programmer. Just need some friendly advice.

  I have a stored procedure that takes an input var_zip varchar(5). My webapp calls this procedure and gives it the parameter: cmd.Parameters.Add(new MySqlParameter("var_Zip", MySqlDbType.VarChar, 5)); cmd.Parameters["var_Zip"].Value = txtZip.Text; txtZip is empty. So it is either giving empty string '', or null. Doesn't matter to me which. But it is throwing an error: MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException: Data too long for column 'var_Zip' at row 1 What's going on and how can I fix it? I don't understand.

  I am writing an abstract matrix class (and some concrete subclasses) for use on very differing hardwares/architectures, etc. and I want to write a row and column type that provides a transparent reference to the rows and columns of the matrix. However, I want to tune for performance, so I'd like this class to be essentially a compiler construct. In other words, I'm willing to sacrifice some dev time to making the overhead of these classes as small as possible. I assume all (small) methods would want to be virtual? Keep the structure small? Any other suggestions?

  Hi, I am fairly new to the android sdk and databases and have been searching for an answer to this quite some time. I am trying to build an app which has multiple tables within a database. e.g. one for weapons, armours etc. However, my DatabaseManager class which handles all of my table creating, DatabaseHelper inner class and populating of data is creating for an extremely large class requiring high maintenance. Every time I would like to add or remove a table column I need to change quite a few areas of code, - Every reference to the addition of a row in that table with data - The method that the above calls - The method returning all of the database rows - The code in the helper class creating the table - Any specific update methods My question is this: Surely there must be some better way of coding this system, maybe using a database isn't the best way to go, or am i just not used to such large classes having only learned java at university and my largest class consisting of a mere 400-600 lines of code. (As in, remove the rows before the aggregates are applied.) How do I do that?
