• glibc Heap Consistency Checking

  According to posts from 2008 (I can't find it right now), glibc heap check doesn't work in multithreaded environment. Is it still situation now in 2010? Does heap check enabled by default? (gcc 4.1.2)? I don't set MALLOC_CHECK_, don't aware of calling mcheck(), but still sometimes receive double free glibc error with backtrace. Maybe it's enabled by some ccompilation flag?

• Lost cert for published app

  I have a free app published in Android market. I have lost the certificate used to sign the current version but I want to publish an updated version. Android market refuses to accept my upgrade because it is signed by a new certificate. I realize the users will have to uninstall the current version to get the upgrade but it's not clear how to get the updated version into the market so that the current users will find it. • MainMenu with Images (WinForms, C#)

  Hi All I have a MainMenu in my app and I would like to have little icons relevant to the Item in each menu. But the MainMenu control does not support this. I would use the MenuStrip control, though that is a pretty ugly option in my opinion. Does anybody have any suggestions? Are there any free/open source alt's out there, or would it be easy/possible to implement that feature into the existing MainMenu control? Thanks

  Partial duplicate of this Notes: I already use JSLint extensively via a tool I wrote that scans in intervals my current project directory for recently updated/created .js files. It's drastically improved productivity for me and I doubt there is anything as good as JSLint for the price (it's free).   I'm bundling an application for distribution and SQL Server is a prequisite so we're including SQL Server Express. What's the easiest way to include SQL server in a point and click installer? In the past I've used NSIS, but it was always flaky when installing the .NET Framework, so .NET, SQL Server and our app seems like an impossible task.   My final goal is to write the program which can run on the Unix OS. I know that there are many Unix versions, and don't know exactly for now which one I need to support. I cannot install any Unix OS right now. The only thing I can do is to use free OS which is close to Unix as much as possible. Is FreeBSD a good choice for this? I know that there is also OpenBSD, possibly something else.
