    I am created a website using visual studio 2010. On the time of the development of website I am able to access the database.. but after publishing the site using IIS7..i was unable to access the database..the exception occured during that time was "the connection is in the closed state".in IIS7 When I changed the application pool identity to localsystem, it worked. Data base is installed in the same machine. and server is SQL SERVER 2008 R2

    Is it possible to read the GUID from the Assembly without actually loading it in the current App Domain. Normally Assembly.Load loads the DLL into the app domain. I just want to read the value.     Is it possible to include a Silverlight (3) out-of-browser application to the add-or-remove programs list? The intention is to be able to remove the OOB application that way (not just by right-clicking from within the running app)? If the OOB app is installed with a shortcut to the desktop and you try to delete the shortcut you are presented with the standard 'you are just deleting a shortcut if you want to delete the application go to add or remove programs' dialog. I want to tidy up this inconsistency.

  • Tab bar controller in landscape mode

    Hi to all All my app is in landscape mode .In some point I switch to a screen with Tab Bar Controller , but it's been placed like in portrait mode.I subclassed the UITabBarController and override the method "shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation" to return YES always but because the app is already in landscape , this method is not being called. does anyway have an answer to this? thanks Giald

I can set it to "Debug" or "Release" but there isn't even an option for Distribution.

    I'm running into an odd issue in Objective-C when I have two classes using initializers of the same name, but differently-typed arguments. I did some stepping through the debugger and found that the isa pointer for both a and b objects ends up the same. I also found out that if I no longer make the alloc and init calls inline, both initializations seem to work properly, e.g.: A *a = [A alloc]; [a initWithNum:20.0f]; If I use this convention when I create both a and b, I get the right output and the isa pointers seem to be different for each object. Am I doing something wrong? I would have thought multiple classes could have the same initializer names, but perhaps that is not the case.

    Eclipse Vaadin plugin has cool autobuild feature. Just clicking "restart application" in debug console will bring up to date application version to live. Unfortunately importing maven generated vaadin project(using m2e) and copy-pasting .project buildCommands and natures from vaadin eclipse plugin generated project does not works. I'm unnable to "Run on server...", tomcat does not deploy app for unknown reason. I can see app in wtpapps folder but it still does not deploys.

Each sub-app will have a UITabBarController which has its own different views. At any point I want the user to be able to go back to the Main View from any of the sub-apps.   • Same project...multiple apps?

    We have a an iPhone app project that we wish to deploy multiple times under different client names. The individual apps will be very similar but will have different resources (icon, images etc) and config settings stored in plists (server names, options etc). What is the preferred means to manage this in Xcode? Obviously we really don't want different XCode projects for each App deployment since it's 90% shared code.

  • Is there an easy way to get the ServerName in Symfony?

    I have been searching for an easy way to get the ServerName of the machine where Symfony runs in Symfony (so that my app adapts when it is used on a host with a different ServerName), but I couldn't find one. I created a variable in app.yml and I fetch it, but I still wonder if there is no easier way to do this. How are you doing this? I'm using Symfony 1.2 and 1.4 on different projects.

  • How to exclude the title from theme applied to the application?

    I'm using a theme for my app to set some common layout features. One of the things I change in this theme is the text style. I change the color of text in the whole app to a certain color etc. Sadly the color of the title is also changed and the result is a somewhat blurry ugly style. Is it possible to somehow overwrite the style for the title in the theme? Or exclude the title?

    Hello all, I've recently been tasked with finishing a PHP/MySQL web app when the developer quit last week. I'm no MySQL expert, so I apologize if this is an intensely simple question. I've searched SO for the better part of two days trying to find a relatively easy solution to my problem, which is as follows. Problem in a Nutshell: I have a MySQL table full of start and end datetime (GMT -5) & UNIX Timestamp values covering durations of irregular length and need to break/split/divide them into more-regular time chunks (5 minutes). I'm not after a count of row entries per time chunk/bucket/period, if that makes any sense. Data Example: started, ended, started_UNIX, ended_UNIX 2010-10-25 15:12:33, 2010-10-25 15:47:09, 1288033953, 1288036029 What I'm hoping to get: 2010-10-25 15:12:33, 2010-10-25 15:15:00, 1288033953, 1288037700 2010-10-25 15:15:00, 2010-10-25 15:20:00, 1288037700, 1288038000 2010-10-25 15:20:00, 2010-10-25 15:25:00, 1288038000, 1288038300 2010-10-25 15:25:00, 2010-10-25 15:30:00, 1288038300, 1288038600 2010-10-25 15:30:00, 2010-10-25 15:35:00, 1288038600, 1288038900 2010-10-25 15:35:00, 2010-10-25 15:40:00, 1288038900, 1288039200 2010-10-25 15:40:00, 2010-10-25 15:45:00, 1288039200, 1288039500 2010-10-25 15:45:00, 2010-10-25 15:47:09, 1288039500, 1288039629 If you're interested, here's the quick & dirty on the app and why I need the data: App overview: The application receives very simple POST requests generated by a basic sensor device when its input pins go to ground, which submits an INSERT query to the database where MySQL records a timestamp (as started). When the input pins return from a grounded state, the device submits a different POST request, which causes the PHP app to submit an UPDATE query, where a modification time timestamp is inserted (as ended). My employer recently changed the periodic reporting unit of measure from Seconds "On" Per Day to Seconds "On" Per 5 Minute Interval. I had formulated what I thought would be a workable solution, but when I looked at it on paper, it looked like Rube Goldberg's nightmare constructed in MySQL, so that was out. Any suggestions as to how to break these spans into 5 minute blocks? Keeping it all in MySQL would be my preference, though I'll take any suggestions. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.   • Keyboard problem on iPhone OS 4.0 (8A248c)

    Hi! I have view with text field -- subclassed from UIAlertView. In the textFieldShouldReturn delegate I call resignFirstResponder for text field and dismissWithClickedButtonIndex for view. On the 3.x version everything fine, but on 4.0 keyboard still present on screen after view dismissing and doesn't disappear while app running. App compiled for 3.0 target and tested on 4.0 iPhone OS. One more thing - sometimes after dismissing alert - Done button on the keyboard replaces with Return button.. Any suggestions ?

I know a database is faster than loading everything into memory when the app starts, but how do I make the database either the first time the app runs or "before" the apps ever runs?
