    I'm performing some research and analysis on bug/issue tracking databases and more specifically on how programmers and teams of programmers actually interact with them. What I'm looking for involves understanding how those databases change over time. So what I don't need for example: is a database of all the bugs of some open source project as the bugs exist today. What I do need is a complete set of revision history for every issue/bug in the database. This would enable me to pick a specific datetime and say here were the list of all the issues/bugs that existed at that moment in time. Anyway know of some publicly accessible issue/bug databases that expose this revision data?     I need to purchase a single license for Visual Studio Professional with MSDN. The MSDN buy site (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/bb841434.aspx) does not allow purchases from India. It directs Indians to purchase from resellers. I contacted Microsoft and they sent me a link to a list of resellers http://www.microsoft.com/india/originalsoftware/business/retailStore1.aspx Many of these resellers do not even have a website. Many of them do not exist at the addresses mentioned (they have moved). Microsoft support personnel also seem very cagey about releasing any information. They do not even read the mail. They simply resend their canned response with the same link. There are many resellers (not mentioned in the microsoft page) who are selling MSDN subscriptions. Are they legitimate?     it's couple of months I've been using SH404SEF With my site. But in my site I'm getting url's in the form: http://www.downloadformsindia.com/Income-Tax-Forms/all-income-tax-return-itr-forms-2010-2011.html?task=view If I remove this suffix(?task=view), it takes us to the same page. I had raised this issue in SH404SEF forum, and I was told that this data is taken as parameter by search engines hence ignored. I want to redirect using RewriteMatch in .htaccess all such url's to the url's without ?task=view ones : ....downloadformsindia.com/Income-Tax-Forms/all-income-tax-return-itr-forms-2010-2011.html?task=view to be redirected to http://www.downloadformsindia.com/Income-Tax-Forms/all-income-tax-return-itr-forms-2010-2011.html So my question is: Will this redirection create 404's in the Google webmaster. I've thousand's of pages in the site

The site was developed under WSS 3.0 which contains custom List, Features, Templates, Styles etc. What I've to do is to create a deployment package (setup) which I can give away to my client. I know about stsadm but I don't have the access of the production machine. Is there a way I can package all the dependencies in a single file (installation file) and run on the server which will include all the dependencies (including site content)? I've tried to experiment this with SharePoint Content Deployment Wizard. But, this software doesn't something I'm looking for which can create a simple deployment package (after that you don't need to do anything). You people might have an advise which can help me to look/think outside the box and get to the solution quickly instead adding more days working on the problem. Please, share only freewares.     When I set a program to open a specific file type by default, it works (like Word 2013 for PDFs). However, when I change the default back to reader, I lose Word as an option that I can pick in the open with sub-menu. How can I get it to stick? Update: It seems that there is something special about word. Adding Notepad++ as the default and then changing it back seems to keep notepad++ on the sub-menu. Word version is 2013

    How do I get Excel to partially auto-complete a word using another that already exist in the same worksheet? Let's say I have the word "Microsoft" in a cell and in the cell below I want to type the word "Microhard". When I start typing Microhard, the word Microsoft appears shaded in black. How can I select the "Micro" part alone from Microsoft and continue to fill out the rest with "hard" without it trying to fill out as Microsoft?

    As a Linux user, I am very used to jump from word to word in vim/nano using ALT+left or right. This doesn't seem to work properly using iTerm, I am using zsh, I tried adding; bindkey -e bindkey '^[[1;9C' forward-word bindkey '^[[1;9D' backward-word It does work, but inside zsh only, then I commented those lines and added in iTerm a keyboard shortcut; It does work, but only for the ALTleft How can I make it work for the right arrow too?

    I often write T-SQL loops that look like this While Exists (Select * From #MyTable) Begin Declare @ID int, @Word nvarchar(max) Select Top 1 @ID=ID, @Word=[Word] From #MyTable -- Do something -- Delete #MyTable Where ID=@ID End Works a treat but I noticed the new Delete Top function which would be useful when #MyTable is just a list of strings.   • What software do you use for letter templating and printing?

    In our LOB application there is a very important use case of printing letters, which are then printed and posted out from a mail house (thousands per day). The current situation is that the letter templates are created in Word 97 and fields are mail merged from values in database using a VB.Net application that basically uses word automation. But depending on Word 97 is not a good idea today. We only have a couple of PCs that have Word 97 installed as rest of the company has moved to Office 2007. What software or technology (compatible with .Net) is available today that best suits this scenario. Is it better to do the same thing but move to Word 2007 or PDF or something else. Price may not be a factor. The important thing is that the letter templates must be designed by business users and data to fill placeholders come from DB. A bonus would be to import the hundreds of existing Word 97 letter templates without rewriting them from scratch.

    i am using the following code to read the details from a network folder which is restricted for only one user shell("net use q: \\serveryname\foldername /user:admin pwrd", AppWinStyle.Hide, True, 10000) Process.Start(path) shell("net use q: /delete") when i run this to open any pdf or jpg or any other files except word/excel/powerpoint, everything is working fine. but the problem comes only when i access a word file. in the step one, i am giving permission to access the word file. in the step two, word file is open. in the third, i am deleting the q drive. the problem is the word file is still open. so i am getting a dos window, saying that "some connections of still connected or searching some folders, do you want to force disconnect" please help.... how to access a word file (editable files) providing user name and password from the code and at the same time he shoud not have access to any other folders directly.
