  • Getting path of file copied after deployment in a unit test C#

    - by amitchd
Hi, The connection string in my app.config for my C# project looks like Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename='|DataDirectory|\EIC.mdf';Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" I am writing unit tests for the project and have the set the test run configuration to copy the EIC.mdf, but I do am not able to reference the Deployed copy of EIC.mdf to be referenced by the app.config I created for the test project. If I set it to Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename='EIC.mdf';Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" It still does not find the mdf file.

  • Auto comment all public members in a file

    - by ooo
I have turned on warnings as errors and now i need to XML comment all of my public methods. just to get my program compiling, i just want to put placeholders for now. Is there anyway to automatically add XML comments to all of the public members in a class or a file. I see ghost doc which gives you good autogenerated XML comments but it still looks like it only does one member at a time.

  • How do you open a file in C++?

    - by superjoe30
I want to open a file for reading, the C++ way. I need to be able to do it for text files, which would involve some sort of read line function, and a way to do it for binary files, which would provide a way to read raw data into a char* buffer.

  • How do I copy files into an existing JAR file with Ant?

    - by Blue
I have a project that needs to access resources within its own JAR file. When I create the JAR file for the project, I would like to copy a directory into that JAR file (I guess the ZIP equivalent would be "adding" the directory to the existing ZIP file). I only want the copy to happen after the JAR has been created (and I obviously don't want the copy to happen if I clean and delete the JAR file). Currently the build file looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <project name="foobar" basedir=".." default="jar"> <!-- project-specific properties --> <property name="project.path" value="my/project/dir/foobar" /> <patternset id="project.include"> <include name="${project.path}/**" /> </patternset> <patternset id="project.jar.include"> <include name="${project.path}/**" /> </patternset> <import file="common-tasks.xml" /> <property name="jar.file" location="${test.dir}/foobar.jar" /> <property name="manifest.file" location="misc/foobar.manifest" /> </project> Some of the build tasks are called from another file (common-tasks.xml), which I can't display here. Thanks.

  • Django1.1 file based session backend multi-threaded solution

    - by Satoru.Logic
Hi, all. I read django.contrib.sessions.backend.file today, in the save method of SessionStore there is something as the following that's used to achieve multi-threaded saving integrity: output_file_fd, output_file_name = tempfile.mkstemp(dir=dir, prefix=prefix + '_out_') renamed = False try: try: os.write(output_file_fd, self.encode(session_data)) finally: os.close(output_file_fd) os.rename(output_file_name, session_file_name) renamed = True finally: if not renamed: os.unlink(output_file_name) I don't quite understand how this solve the integrity problem.

  • upload form only works in Firefox when uploading ASCII .stl 3D files

    - by NathanPDX
    uploadform.html and upload_file.php (below) works fine in Firefox but fails in Chrome, IE, and Safari when uploading ASCII .stl 3D files. Error message is "Invalid file" and problem occurs with multiple computers and multiple .stl files. When I modify the code to support other file types like JPG and PDF it allows those file types in all three web browsers. Also, Firefox only allows the .stl upload if I include application/octet-stream in the mime types section. Why doesn't this work outside of Firefox? uploadform.html: <!doctype html> <html> <body> <form action="upload_file.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <label for="file">Filename:</label> <input type="file" name="file" id="file" /> <br /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit" /> </form> </body> </html> upload_file.php: <!doctype html> <html> <body> <?php $allowedExts = array("stl"); $extension = end(explode(".", $_FILES["file"]["name"])); if ( ( ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "application/sla") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "application/octet-stream") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "text/plain") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "application/unknown") ) && ($_FILES["file"]["size"] < 2000000) && in_array($extension, $allowedExts) ) { if ($_FILES["file"]["error"] > 0) { echo "Return Code: " . $_FILES["file"]["error"] . "<br />"; } else { echo "Upload: " . $_FILES["file"]["name"] . "<br />"; echo "Size: " . ($_FILES["file"]["size"] /1024) . " KB<br />"; if (file_exists("upload/" . $_FILES["file"]["name"])) { echo $_FILES["file"]["name"] . " already exists. "; } else { move_uploaded_file($_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"], "upload/" . $_FILES["file"]["name"]); echo "successful upload"; } } } else { echo "Invalid file"; } ?> </body> </html>

  • Listing the content of a tar file or a directory only down to some level

    - by Tim
I wonder how to list the content of a tar file only down to some level? I understand tar tvf mytar.tar will list all files, but sometimes I would like to only see directories down to some level. Similarly, for the command ls, how do I control the level of subdirectories that will be displayed? By default, it will only show the direct subdirectories, but not go further.

  • Portable way to get file size in C/C++

    - by chmike
I need to determin the byte size of a file. The coding language is C++ and the code should work with Linux, windows and any other operating system. This implies using standard C or C++ functions/classes. This trivial need has apparently no trivial solution.
