    - by Ram
    hello, I was successful in displaying text on webpage but in firefox, it does not display the text at all. If i see the page source, it has text in there. but why doesn't it display? In Chrome and IE, it works fine. Edit: When i used firebug, it looks like the content is behind the screen. I just guess. What you experts say on this? <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="Server"> <div> <table id="Table2" width="150%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" class="main_content"> <tr valign="top"> <td align="left" style="height: auto"> <br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; <asp:Label ID="lblName" runat="server" Font-Bold="True" Font-Size="10pt" ForeColor="#006699" Font-Names="Verdana"></asp:Label>&nbsp;</td> </tr> <tr style="height:32px"> </tr> <tr valign="top"> <td align="center"> <div class="reusableBlueBox" style="width: 500px;height:auto;"> <div class="reusableBlueTop"> <span>&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</div> <div class="reusableBlueContent"> <table id="Content" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="4" class="createAccountTable"> <%-- <tr><td align="left" valign="top"><h2 align="center">WELCOME TO OUR SITE...!</h2></td></tr>--%> <tr id="trwelcome" runat="server"> <td> <div style="text-align: center; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"> <span style="color: #00669f; font-size:large; font-family:Arial; font-weight:bold" > Welcome</span> <br> <span style="color: #00669f; font-size:small; font-family:Arial" > Please look over this welcome page to familiarize yourself with your account. </span> </div> </td> </tr> <tr id="trhelp" runat="server" visible = "false"> <td> <div style="text-align: center; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"> <span style="color: #00669f; font-size:large; font-family:Arial; font-weight:bold" > Help</span> <br> </div> </td> </tr> <tr style="height:10px"> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td id="tdWelcomeContent" runat="server" valign="top" class="listStyleNone"> </td> </tr> <tr id="trthankyou" runat="server"> <td align="left"> <strong><span style="color: rgb(0,102,153); font-size: medium">Thanks for joining.</span></strong> </td> </tr> </table> <table width="200"> <tr> <td style="width: 109px; height: auto"> </td> <td style="width: 100px; height: auto" align="center"> <asp:ImageButton ID="imgbtnEnterMyAccount" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/images/enter_my_account.gif" OnClick="imgbtnEnterMyAccount_Click" Width="185px" /></td> <td style="width: 100px; height: auto"> &nbsp;</td> </tr> </table> </div> <div class="reusableBlueBottom"> <span>&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</div> </div> <br /> <%-- <table width="200"> <tr> <td style="width: 109px; height: 37px"> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnhelp" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/images/help2.gif" OnClick="btnhelp_Click" Visible="False" /></td> <td style="width: 100px; height: 37px" align="center"> &nbsp;<asp:ImageButton ID="imgbtnEnterMyAccount" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/images/enter_my_account.gif" OnClick="imgbtnEnterMyAccount_Click" Width="185px" /></td> <td style="width: 100px; height: 37px"> &nbsp;</td> </tr> <tr> <td style="width: 109px; height: 47px"> </td> <td style="width: 100px; height: 47px"> </td> <td style="width: 100px; height: 47px"> </td> </tr> </table>--%> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="center"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="center"> &nbsp;</td> </tr> </table> </div> Thanks in advance!

  • How to Change Style of Parent <li> on Hover

    - by Stuart Haiz
    I have a WordPress site (on my localhost) that uses a <ul> for a custom menu. How can I change the CSS of a <li> on hover only if it has a <ul> sub-menu? All the main menu items have a border-radius and I want to remove this on the current item (Services, below) for example: <div class="main-nav"> <ul class="menu" id="menu-main-nav"> <li><a href="#">Home</a></li> <li><a href="#">Services</a> <ul class="sub-menu"> <li><a href="#">Item One</a></li> <li><a href="#>Item Two</a></li> </ul> </li> <li><a href="#>Contact</a></li> </ul> </div> I can't find a CSS solution and I've tried jQuery too: $('ul.sub-menu').parent().hover(function(){ $(this).addClass('no-radius'); });

  • Jquery Works in FF but not IE at all

    - by Shawn
    I set up the SimpleModal plugin to work from our Ad server(Real 24/7). Essentially, attempting to make an interstitial ad. I serve a popupAd.js file from the Ad Server to our homepage(index.php), Here is the code for popupAd.js: $(document).ready(function() { $.modal('<iframe src="/welcomeAd.htm" height="525" width="562" style="border:0;" scrolling="no"/>', { closeHTML: "<a href='#' title='Close' align='right' style='color:#666>(X) Continue to website</a>", containerCss: { backgroundColor: '#fff', borderColor: "#0063dc", height: 525, padding: 0, width: 562, }, overlayCss:{ backgroundColor:"#fff", }, opacity:100, overlayClose: true }); }); This opens a modal window on the homepage which then loads welcomeAd.htm which contain nothing other than the ad call to the creative. Here is the code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-html401-19991224/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <title>Company Name</title> <!------ AD SERVER SETUP begin ------> <!------ OAS SERVER SETUP end ------> </head> <body style="margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%"> <script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"> <!-- AD SERVER CALL; //--> </script> </body> </html> This all works in FF but does nothing in IE, of which I am running IE7. Also, the closeHTML doesn't show up in Safari, though, the ad does.

  • Modal QMessageBox does not behave like native Windows dialogs

    - by Philip Daubmeier
    My application has a dialog that asks the user via a QMessageBox whether he wants to discard all changes he made or wants to keep editing. I want this dialog to be modal to the whole application. I read somewhere that this is the standard behavior for a QMessageBox, so I dont have to set it explicitly with something like: mbox.setWindowModality(Qt::ApplicationModal); I wonder why it behaves differently from other modal dialogs in the OS (Windows 7 in my case). On the one hand it functions like it should, i.e. all other input methods in the application are blocked until the user answeres the dialog. However, it doesn't 'blink'* if the user clicks any other window of the application. Is there any way to get Qt to behave like a native Windows dialog? Thanks in advance! *If you don't know what I mean with this 'blinking': Just open notepad on a Windows OS, type some text and try to close it. A dialog pops up that asks to save, discard or keep editing. Now click somewhere on the editor window - the border and titlebar of the dialog flashes/blinks a few times.

  • Aligning left and right in a simple footer

    - by Wolfram
    I'm currently working on a simple footer, and I would like to align one line of text left and the other to the right. This is what I have so far: <div id="footer"> Last Updated: October 15, 2012 <!--left align--> Contact Us Login <!--right align (these will be links)--> </div> #footer { font-family: Arial; font-size: .9em; color: #24ACAE; border-top: 1px solid #24ACAE; margin-left: 90px; margin-right: 90px; padding-top: 5px; } The above code results in the two lines of text being next to each other and I've tried various ways of fixing this such as putting the the 2nd line in a span and aligning right and even putting the lines into a table. None of what I have tried has resulted in both lines being properly aligned. Using a margin-left alone does not work because when the first line is updated and becomes longer, it will push the second line downwards. Relative positioning seems to have the same issue. Hopefully there's something simple that I'm overlooking.

    Still trying to answer this question, and I think I finally found a solution, but it runs too slow. var $div = $('<div>') .css({ 'border': '1px solid red', 'position': 'absolute', 'z-index': '65535' }) .appendTo('body'); $('body *').live('mousemove', function(e) { var topElement = null; $('body *').each(function() { if(this == $div[0]) return true; var $elem = $(this); var pos = $elem.offset(); var width = $elem.width(); var height = $elem.height(); if(e.pageX > pos.left && e.pageY > pos.top && e.pageX < (pos.left + width) && e.pageY < (pos.top + height)) { var zIndex = document.defaultView.getComputedStyle(this, null).getPropertyValue('z-index'); if(zIndex == 'auto') zIndex = $elem.parents().length; if(topElement == null || zIndex > topElement.zIndex) { topElement = { 'node': $elem, 'zIndex': zIndex }; } } }); if(topElement != null ) { var $elem = topElement.node; $div.offset($elem.offset()).width($elem.width()).height($elem.height()); } }); It basically loops through all the elements on the page and finds the top-most element beneath the cursor. Is there maybe some way I could use a quad-tree or something and segment the page so the loop runs faster?

  • Load function in jquery

    - by user345579
    Hi, I am relatively new to jquery and would like to know why the below code wouldn't work. I am trying to access the content from a file residing on my site and not outside. Is it because I have the jquery lib loading from google and not my site? The error message that I get in IE browser is "Access Denied". I am confused why the access is denied if I am trying to load a file from the same server and even same folder. <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#response").load("http://www.mydomain.com/loadme.php?route=links/getlinks&path=2"); }); </script> </head> <body> <div id="response" style="border: 1px solid #000;height:500px;">&nbsp;</div> </body> </html> any one please help me. thanks
