  • on facebook, how do i authenticate an application, using JavaScript?

    I can only find samples using php or curl. I want to do something like https://graph.facebook.com/<app_id>/accounts/test-users? installed=true&permissions=read_stream and the response is: { "error": { "type": "OAuthException", "message": "An access token is required to request this resource." } } as well is should... so how do i get the access token in JavaScript (using the JavaScript SDK obviously). thanks!

  • Is the iPhone/iPad delete "badge" available via the SDK?

I would like to put a "delete" badge in the upper left corner of each thumbnail like the one you see either when deleting apps from the iphone/ipad home screen.     Is it possible to programmatically restart the phone from a application (service) running on top of the Dalvik VM? If the SDK does not provide this functionality, then how about using the NDK and calling some functions provided by the kernel? I know this option is not preferred (not stable enough libs), but if it's the only option, I'll have to consider that as well.

What would happen if I put it in my address bar, which I assume would be a very unwise idea? I am confused.

These engines have different querry parameters (id, q, url etc.) so in order to make preety URLs work I have to make a rewrite. However, above doesn't work. Please help.     Hi, Following CodeIngiter's installation instructions, I extracted CodeIgniter into XAMPP's htdocs folder and placed its index.php at the root. When I navigated to the following url h t t p://127.0.0.1/index.php I got the following error messages: Warning: require_once(C:\xampp\htdocs/system/codeigniter/CodeIgniter.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\index.php on line 115 Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'C:\xampp\htdocs/system/codeigniter/CodeIgniter.php' (include_path='.;C:\xampp\php\PEAR') in C:\xampp\htdocs\index.php on line 115 When I checked line 115 in the index.php, it stated: require_once BASEPATH.'codeigniter/CodeIgniter'.EXT; Experimenting a little, I put CodeIniter's "system" folder at the root as well, and it worked, providing me access to CodeIgniter's Welcome page, but the instructions did not say to do this. Experimenting further, when I put back the "system" folder and navigated to the original place where the index.php h t t p://127.0.0.1/codeigniter_1.7.2/index.php it worked. But myquestion is, how do I get to the CodeIgniter's welcome page by placing only the index.php in XAMPP's htdocs as instructed by CodeIgniter? Any assistance will be appreciated.

  • XDEBUG/PHP doesn't dump profile even when set up properly?

    I installed xdebug from source, but also tried my package manager (separately) and they both are loaded correctly (verified by restarting Apache and seeing the xdebug copyright info in phpinfo()) but they do not dump profiling information. Out of the 40 different attempts of configuration it logged once or twice but I lost what I did, I tried with first only loading the module in php.ini with no settings, but it didn't log to /tmp/. I tried many different settings but my current is now: xdebug.profiler_enable = Off xdebug.profiler_enable_trigger = 1 xdebug.profiler_output_dir = "/tmp/" xdebug.profiler_output_name = "profiler.%t" Of course I call my script through 127.0.0.1/test.php?XDEBUG_PROFILE, which is for enable_trigger. Do you know why it would not dump profiler information? nobody (Arch Linux) can write to /tmp/ as it has before, so I'm sure it is not a permissions error. Apache's error_log does not tell me anything about xdebug either, as it has loaded correctly. It just does not "work"! EDIT: I made a subfolder "xdebug_profiles" in /tmp/ and chown'ed it to nobody, and now it works flawlessly. I'm not sure why it couldn't write before, I guess it's just a caveat with nobody on Arch. I answered my own question , not enough points to answer it or comment, so consider this answered.

  • Which apache/mysql/php package is best for windows?

    I have tried appservnetwork, was the best so far, but I haven't seen them do an update in ages, EasyPHP is just slow to load always. Wamp and Xamp, all put in their description that is not for production. I do not plan to host publicly this site or site's I am working on. But I do want a fast loading apache/mysql/php server for development purposes. I used to really like WLMP, which is Lighttpd for Windows, but that project seems unupdated or abandoned. I refuse to use IIS, but i have no desire to get into any wars over it. I run windows xp sp3 at my home pc. I will need to have a web server setup for professional work, as well as some fun websites I am working on. I just want it fast enough, so i can run it via localhost, and not take forever to load in the browser. Thank you... I plan mostly do php programming and perhaps coldfusion via this.

  • How to configure Apache to let PHP handle OPTIONS HTTP requests?

    In order to set up a proper test suite for CORS (cross-domain requests) I need to be able to handle the HTTP OPTIONS method directly from script. I therefore have a simple PHP script that detects the OPTIONS method, and reacts accordingly by outputting some specific headers. The PHP side is not a problem. If I use curl to issue GET/POST/HEAD/PUT/etc. requests they all go to the script and it clearly handles them fine. If I issue an OPTIONS request however, it never reaches the script: Apache immediately replies listing a set of methods that it believes to be appropriate for this resource. I can tell that the script isn't run (no logging, none of its output makes it to the response, etc.). I've been going through the Apache configuration, have made sure no applicable .htaccess is in the way, I've tweaked a bunch of things such as Limit/LimitExcept directives, but I can't get it to change its behaviour. I've also tried to find information on a technique from my youth that could have helped here: NPH (non-parsed headers) scripts; but apparently that has now disappeared (at least, I can't find any recent information about it that works). So the question is: how do I tweak Apache's configuration so that it will let my script handle OPTIONS?
