• Using Enterprise Library DAAB in C# Console Project

  How can I prepare the configuration settings (App.config, maybe?) I need to use Enterprise Library Data Access Application Block in a C# console project? Following is what I currently trying with an App.config in the console project. When I call DatabaseFactory.CreateDatabase(), it throws an exception which says: "Configuration system failed to initialize" <configuration> <dataConfiguration> <xmlSerializerSection type="Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data. • Working with partial views

  Hi. I'm trying to create a page that contains a grid and searching. The issue is that I want to have a partial view for the grid and one for the searching. If doing a search, this should render the grid partial view with the new information. At the moment I need information, such as what column I'm sorting by and so on, from the grid (currently stored in viewdata), in order to do the search as I want to keep those settings. This information is only available in the grid partial though. What's the best approach of this to make it neat and nice in the code, but not a mess to work with? Where can I store information that I need in the other partial view? • Xcode Link Frameworks "Relative to Current SDK" Doesn't Work When Mixing Mac Framework and iPhone St

  I have a framework of code I maintain. It's got mac and iphone objective-c code. And some of it is shared. I'm not having any problems with code. It's a problem with Xcode. Let's just call my framework "AwesomeKit" for this problem. The first thing I did was create an xcode Framework project called "AwesomeKit". Add source files to it, link against the common mac frameworks: foundation, cocoa, carbon, etc. It compiles fine. Then, add a new "static library" target, let's call it "AwesomeKit-iPhone" and set the base SDK in the build settings to iphone device 3.1.3. The problem comes when I try to add "Existing Frameworks" to the AweseomKit-iPhone target. -First change the current build target to AwesomeKit-iPhone. -Right click on any group and select "Add Existing Frameworks..." -Choose UIKit.framework UIKit will immediately be highlighted red, as if it's missing. It is indeed missing because Xcode uses the "Relative SDK" setting from the "Mac OS 10.6" SDK. When it should be using it relative to the current target's base sdk iphone device 3.1.3. What the heck? Has anyone experienced this? This is really annoying.

  I'm trying to compile Tremolo for iPhone.   Hi there, guys. I'm currently developing a set of SOAP webservices over Axis2, deployed over a clustered WebLogic 10.3.2 environment. My webservices use some user settings that I want to be editable without the need for recompiling and regenerating the AAR archive. With this in mind, I chose to put them into a properties file that is loaded and consumed in runtime. Unfortunately, I'm having some questions about this: As far as I know, to achieve what I want, the only option is to put the properties file into the ../axis2/WEB-INF/classes directory of each one of the deployments (on each WebLogic instance) I currently have on my clustered configuration, and then load the file, as follows (or equivalent, this has not been verified for optimization): InputStreamReader fMainProp = new InputStreamReader(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("myfile.properties")); Properties mainProp = new Properties(); mainProp.load(fMainProp); This is not as practical as I wanted it to be, because each time I want to alter some setting on the properties file, I have to edit each one of the files (deployed over different WebLogic instances) and there is a high probability of modifying one of these files without modifying the others. What I would like to know is if there is any (better) alternative to accomplish what I want, minimizing the potential conflict of configuration that is created by distributing and replicating the properties file through multiple WebLogic instances.

When I run every Maven commad there is dependency looking for commons-collection in this Jasper repository so I need to wait for timeout. This is my base project and is used as dependency in my others projects so again I need to wait for timeout. Is there are a way to move this repository to blacklisted or override this settings?   I'm considering writing a simple web scraping application to extract information from a website that does not seem to specifically prohibit this. I've checked for other alternatives (eg RSS, web service) to get this information, but there are none available at this stage. Despite this I've also developed/maintained a few websites myself and so I realize that if web scraping is done naively/greedily it can slow things down for other users and generally become a nuisance. So, what etiquette is involved in terms of: Number of requests per second/minute/hour. HTTP User Agent content. HTTP Referer content. HTTP Cache settings. Buffer size for larger files/resources. Legalities and licensing issues. Good tools or design approaches to use. Robots.txt, is this relevant for web scraping or just crawlers/spiders? Compression such as GZip in requests. • jQuery UI Datepicker and Google Chrome not working

  Hi, I'm having some problems with jQueryUI Datepicker and Google Chrome. My datepicker is working as expected with IE8, Firefox and Safari. The problem is when clicking the datepicker connected textbox in Chrome. It gives me a crash page, "Oops, an error occurred...". On my page there's textbox with a datepicker. The datepicker is language dependent and it loads the correct language settings dynamically. The datepicker should also display the month and year dropdowns. The code is as follows $(function() {$.datepicker.setDefaults($.extend({ changeMonth: true, changeYear: true }, $.datepicker.regional['']));$('#<%= TextBoxBirthDate.ClientID %').datepicker($.datepicker.regional[$('#LabelRegionalSettings').val()]);}); If I only extend the datepicker with one option, i.e. changeYear, it works in Chrome. But if I add another option, i.e. changeMonth, the 'crash' in Chrome occurs. Is my code incorrect? If so, how do I fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

The above code worked fine for any valid scala code in Test.scala till now. When I use a recursive function in Test.scala, like def xMethod(x:Int):Int = if(x == 0) -1 else xMethod(x-1) It gives me a java.lang.NullPointerException.   Hi, I develop an asp.net web application and I use ASP.NET membership provider. The application uses the membership schema and all required objects inside main application database However, during development I have to switch to various databases, for different development and testing scenarios. For this I have an external connection strings section file and also an external appsettings section, which allow me to not change main web.config but switch the db easily, by changing setting only in appsettings section. My files are as below: <connectionStrings configSource="connections.config"> </connectionStrings> <appSettings file="local.config"> .... ConnectionStrings looks as usual: <connectionStrings> <add name="MyDB1" connectionString="..." ... /> <add name="MyDB2" connectionString="..." ... /> .... </connectionStrings> And local.config as below <appSettings> <add key="ConnectionString" value="MyDB2" /> My code takes into account to use this connection string But membership settings in web.config contains the connection string name directly into the setting, like <add name="MembershipProvider" connectionStringName="MyDB2" ...> .... <add name="RoleProvider" connectionStringName="MyDB2" ...> Because of this, every time I have to edit them too to use the new db. Is there any way to config membership provider to use an appsetting to select db connection for membership db? Or to "redirect" it to read connection setting from somewhere else? Or at least to have this in some external file (like local.config) Maybe is some easy way to wrap asp.net membership provider intio my own provider which will just read connection string from where I want and pass it to original membership provider, and then just delegate the whole membership functionality to asp.net membership provider. This webservice is password enabled. that means i have used org.apache.cxf.ws.security.wss4j.WSS4JInInterceptor for security purpose. Now i want to call this webservice from php. but i am not able to do so. • Codeigniter image manipulation class rotates image during resize

  I'm using Codeigniter's image manipulation library to re-size an uploaded image to three sizes, small, normal and large. The re-sizing is working great. However, if I'm resizing a vertical image, the library is rotating the image so it's horizontal. These are the config settings I have in place: $this->resize_config['image_library'] = 'gd2'; $this->resize_config['source_image'] = $this->file_data['full_path']; $this->resize_config['maintain_ratio'] = TRUE; // These change based on the type (small, normal, large) $this->resize_config['new_image'] = './uploads/large/'.$this->new_file_name.'.jpg'; $this->resize_config['width'] = 432; $this->resize_config['height'] = 288; I'm not setting the master_dim property because the default it set to auto, which is what I want. My assumption is that the library would take a vertical image, see that the height is greater than the width and translate the height/width config appropriately so the image remains vertical. What is happening (apparently) is that the library is rotating the image when it is vertical and sizing it per the configuration. • Setting custom behaviour via .config file - why doesn't this work?

  I am attempting to insert a custom behavior into my service client, following the example here. I appear to be following all of the steps, but I am getting a ConfigurationErrorsException. Is there anyone more experienced than me who can spot what I'm doing wrong? • Prevent Jquery Accordion tab from expanding

  I'm trying to use JQuery UI Accordion as a menu, but I can't figure out how to prevent some tabs from expanding. I tried using "changestart" event and return false when #sidebar_grades is clicked, but it doesn't work. I also tried attaching onClick event to #sidebar_grades to return false, but that didn't work either. Any idea how to do this? Thank you!

• Installing SQLServer 2005 on Windows 7 64bit

  Hi , It's 3 days I'm trying to install SqlServer 2005 under Windows 7 64 bit on my machine . First let me tell you what I've done and what I've got till now . 1-I Installed Windows 7 64 Bit on my computer 2-I tried to install SQl Server 2005 "Developer Edition" 2.1 But in "System Configuration Check" Page i recieved 2 warning , One for "IIS Feature Requirement" and another for "ASP.NET Version Registration Rquired" . 2.1.1 . I installed "Internet Information Services" from "Turn Windows features on or off" section in control panel 2.1.2 I Enabled reporting service 32 bit from "Inetpub= AdminScripts = adsutil.vbs 2.2 At this stage There was no waring in System Configuration Check 3- So I installed SQl Server 2005 Developer Edition By all default settings 4- I installed Sql Server 2005 Service Pack 3 64 bit Now when when i run "Management Studio" There is no name in "Server name" section . I typed my Computer name Or "." and i got this Error : A network -related instance-specific error occurred while establishinga connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (Provider: Named Pipes Provider , error :40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server ) ( Microsoft SQL Server , Error :2) . I googled some for this Error and some people said follow this instruction: Startsql server 2005Configuration toolsSql Server Surface Configuration AreaSurface Area Configuration for services and Connections But i got this Error : No SQl SErver 2005 Components were found on the specified computer . Either no components are installed , or you are not a administrator on this computer (SQLSAC) I'm really tired because of that , and i don't know what's wrong with this . Some more information : I have no additonal software on my computer , like Antivirus or Proxy I tried all step with "Standard Edition" either , but no difference My user is Administrator I tried more than 5 times all those steps including re-installing Windows 7 . Please help me , I'm losing all my hair
