  • jsf output text with fn substring

    I want to format a date in jsf which is xmlgregoriancalendar type. I've come across post which say I need custom converter. Does anybody found solution which does not require custom date converter. I was trying following but I gives me error saying... Element type "h:outputText" must be followed by either attribute specifications, "" or "/". This is what I tried on jsf <h:outputText value="#{fn:substringBefore(aClip.lastTransmittedDate,"T")}"> <f:convertDateTime pattern="dd.MM.yyyy" /> </h:outputText> Can anybody point out the explain the error I'm getting?

  • Cut and paste out of/ into text fields in a separate window doesn't work

    I have a Macintosh Mozilla plugin which puts up a separate window for login information. It seems to work fine, it gets keyboard events like typing and hitting return to hit the default button. HOWEVER, it doesn't seem to get cut and paste events. When I hit Cmd-v, the edit menu flashes, but nothing happnes. Is this a problem with my responder chain? Do I have to specially tell Mozilla that I want these events? or am I likely to have some other problem that I haven't even thought of? thanks.

    i Have an arguments like the one below which i pass to powershell script -arg1 -abc -def -arg2 -ghi -jkl -arg3 -123 -234 Now i need to extract three strings without any whitespace string 1: "-abc -def" string 2: "-ghi -jkl" string 3: "-123 -234" i figured this expression could do it. But this doesnt seem to work. $args -match '-arg1(?'arg1'.*?) -arg3(?'arg3'.*?) -arg3(?'arg3'.*)'. THis should return $matches['arg1'] etc. So whats wrong in above expression. The document is saved as 'UTF-8 without BOM' and headers are also UTF-8. I have tried urlencode() and urldecode() but the effect was same. When upload it on web server, works fine...

[theString drawInRect:theRect withAttributes:0]; [theString release]; Now I'm assuming I need to set up some attributes. I've had a look through Apple's Cocoa documentation, but it's a bit overwhelming and can't find anything for how to add paragraph styles to the attributes.     I'm attempting to take an NSImage and convert it to a string which I can write in an XML document. My current attempt looks something like this: [xmlDocument setCharacterEncoding: @"US-ASCII"]; NSData* data = [image TIFFRepresentation]; NSString* string = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:data encoding:NSASCIIStringEncoding]; //Put string inside of NSXMLElement, write out NSXMLDocument. Reading back in looks something like this: NSXMLDocument* newXMLDocument = [[NSXMLDocument alloc] initWithData:data options:0 error:outError]; //Here's where it fails. I get: //Error Domain=NSXMLParserErrorDomain Code=9 UserInfo=0x100195310 "Line 7: Char 0x0 out of allowed range" I assume I'm missing something basic. What's up with this encoding issue?

[another one] What is the regular expression to extract the words within either square or curly brackets, ie. {is} [sample] [some] {special} [another one] Note: In my use case, brackets cannot be nested. I would also like to keep the enclosing characters, so that I can tell the difference between them when processing the results.

    I have texts that most of the time fit in a div, but sometimes it doesn't fit. There is no way to determine how many characters/words/paragraphs fit in the div, so I can't cut it off that way. The div had a fixed height and width, so can we do something with that? Or do you have any suggestion how to get everything in the div, the correct way?

    My ASP.NET application runs in IIS on my web server and uses Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Beta 2. (Its Application Pool is set to .NET Framework version .NET Framework v4.0.21006.) It gives this new error: A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client... This is due to a breaking change in .NET 4. To revert to the behavior of the ASP.NET 2.0 request validation feature, I added the following setting in the Web.config file: <httpRuntime requestValidationMode="2.0" /> Now Visual Studio 2008 throws a compile-time error: The 'requestValidationMode' attribute is not declared. And I can no longer debug on my development machine using the ASP.NET Development Server that comes with Visual Studio. I need Visual Studio and its ASP.NET Development Server to recognize the new .NET Framework 4 requestValidationMode attribute. How can I debug my application in .NET 4? Must I switch from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2?
