    I have a vPro client computer with AMT 4.0. It was importeed successfully via the Import OOB Computers wizard, and after sending a "Hello- packet" it became provisioned. (The SCCM GUI displays AMT Status: Provisioned).   • Running isolated Internet Explorer instances side by side? (separate cookie sets)

    I'm using PAMIE (http://pamie.sourceforge.net/) to automate some testing routines on a client's web site via IE8, and would like to be able to run multiple tests under different user credentials. The site which I'm testing is using cookies to remember the user (without a "remember me" option I can deselect). Therefore, when I run a second instance of IE8 the cookies get shared and I can't log in as a different user. Is there any way to get IE8 to use isolated sets of cookies in each window?

    Recently we have have installed Windows Server 2008 R2 on one of our development boxes at work. We have 10 Client Access Licence's for Microsoft Windows Terminal Server 2008. I'm under the impression that these licences will entitle us to have 10 concurrent connections to Remote Desktop. At the moment we are only allowed two. Can we have a RD connection per CAL? If so - how do we configure this? Thanks!

  • Why Does My Windows 7 PC Freeze After Waking from Sleep?

    Hey guys. I have Windows 7 running on my computer and everything is perfect. There's only one little problem. Sometimes when I leave my computer, I come back and my monitor is turned off or asleep, whichever it is. This is fine, I set it to do this. However, after turning on the monitor and moving the mouse around, the mouse cursor freezes; both the keyboard and mouse don't respond to anything, for example the keyboard's windows key won't bring up the start menu and moving the mouse around does not move the cursor around on the screen. I have to wait about a minute or two before things start working again. I figured this was a power savings setting problem, so I went into Control Panel Power Options. I only have Turn off Display = 30 minutes and Put Computer to Sleep = Never. Of course, I went into the advanced power settings to look through there. I put Never to turn off the hard disk, Sleep after never, and that's about it. Nothing else there looks like it might be causing this. I went into the device manager and checked the mouse and the keyboard, and they both have the Allow this device to wake the computer checked for both of them. Perhaps this other bit of information might help: Sometimes I VNC into my PC using my MacBook, and sometimes, as soon as it shows me the desktop, the same thing happens. The mouse won't move and VNC won't register any events on the server (Which is my PC of course). I close the client (And I know it has nothing to do with the client), then immediately restart it and try to connect. When I click the connect button, it hangs there, as if the PC is not responding. Basically it's like whenever I try to wake the computer from sleep, it does so by showing me the desktop, then it freaks out. Then again, I guess the computer isn't sleeping because the setting is set to 'Sleep after = Never'. I honestly don't know what's going on, would appreciate any insight. Thanks!

    If my server is placed in PTP v2 enabled network which has grand master clock. And the switch is PTP aware. The server is W2008R2 (soon to be W2012). I also have PTP v2 software client. How does the master clock messages are getting on with Windows Server? Does it need special PTP-aware NIC or it will be treated as normal networking traffic and the software receives it through regular NIC no problem?

    Is there an application or plug-in that allows viewing .eml E-Mail dumps (that may contain HTML and attachments) in Windows 7's preview pane? I'm aware of the possibility of adding the file type in the registry but that will give only a plain-text view of the files, not a parsed view. HTML viewing is a must for what I need, attachments are optional. Is there some top-notch E-Mail client that introduces this functionality? Is there a generic way of doing this?

    Hi, I'm looking for a shared library that is to be loaded using LD_PRELOAD that would modify the view of the filesystem to the client program. Ideally, I'd like to choose the filesystem root (or use / as root) and to overlay the filesystem by renaming filenames. For example, I might want to tell my program to look for /usr/lib/* in /usr/lib32/* instead. Do you know of such a program ? Thanks.

    We are setting up a new proxy based on squid on an ubuntu server, and would like to have pass through authentication work for the Windows/Internet Explorer client. We have put the line into the squid.conf for squid_ldap_auth, but this prompts for a username and password in internet explorer. It does work ok once the user puts it in. Whats the 'best' (standard) way of using pass through authentication? Cheers Luke

  • incorrect password when computer is locked

    Hi there, I have running a Windows XP SP3 Machine and I can't login after I have locked my Workstation. I changed my password and installed last Updates from Microsoft last Friday. When Windows comes up, there is no problem to login. But after I locked it, it tells me that my password is wrong. I pushed the client again into the domain, but doesn't help. Thanks, cyntaxx

    The scenario is an API server that should handle uploads. Posting on my.host.com/api/upload should do something with the body the client sends. However the API server has been designed to block the whole request until it fully processed the file, including some analysis which can take up to approx. 5min (...!). This has to change of course. In the meantime I wanted to setup nginx as a load balancer in front of the API servers. If I look at the log of the API server I still see that it is processing the request and analyzing the file. But I think 3600 seconds as a timeout should be more than enough. This happens even after a could of seconds. And I did a reload and force-reload of the configuration as well of course.

    Comment pointed out that this may fix my problem, and it did: Why don't mails show up in the recipient's mailspool? I use Postfix with Dovecot, and when I send an email from my gmail to my server, it is received at the server, but not at my email client using POP3. I can verify it being received at the server using the mail command.   • HTML files browsable but PHP ones aren't

    Hello I'm checking the ftp settings a client has sent me. I can create, edit and upload/download .html files fine. However I'm finding that .php files aren't brows-able, unless I don't use php tags. I know very little about the clients server at this point, but I have checked for a .htaccess file and not found one. What else can I do to determine if php is supported? This seems to be resolved.

  • Proxy Error 502 "Reason: Error reading from remote server" with Apache 2.2.3 (Debian) mod_proxy and Jetty 6.1.18

    Apache is receiving requests at port :80 and proxying them to Jetty at port :8080 The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server The proxy server could not handle the request GET /. My dilemma: Everything works fine normally (fast requests, few seconds or few tens of seconds long requests are processed ok). Problems occur when request processing takes long (few minutes?). If I issue request instead directly to Jetty at port :8080 the request is processed OK. So problem is likely to sit somewhere between Apache and Jetty where I am using mod_proxy. How to solve this? I have already tried some "tricks" related to KeepAlive settings, without luck.   • Win server 2008 change port of RD Gateway

    Is it possible to change the port used by RD Gateway. I know its integrated with IIS and it uses port 443 (SSL) so i've changed my IIS bindings to use a different port for SSL communications. however, I can't find any way to specify the RD gateway port in the RD client. Has anyone ever done this before? Reason I'm asking is, my ISP just recently blocked port 80 and 443 so I am forced to use another port.

Some technical information: I are using Apache installed mod_auth_kerb In httpd.conf I added LoadModule auth_kerb_module modules/mod_auth_kerb.so In /etc/krb5.conf I added following configuration [logging] default = FILE:/var/log/krb5libs.log kdc = FILE:/var/log/krb5kdc.log admin_server = FILE:/var/log/kadmind.log [libdefaults] default_realm = EU.ORG.COM dns_lookup_realm = false dns_lookup_kdc = false ticket_lifetime = 24h forwardable = yes [realms] EU.ORG.COM = { kdc = eudc05.eu.org.com:88 admin_server = eudc05.eu.org.com:749 default_domain = eu.org.com } [domain_realm] .eu.org.com = EU.ORG.COM eu.org.com = EU.ORG.COM [appdefaults] pam = { debug = true ticket_lifetime = 36000 renew_lifetime = 36000 forwardable = true krb4_convert = false } When I test kinit validuser and enter password then authentication is successful. klist returns: Ticket cache: FILE:/tmp/krb5cc_600 Default principal: [email protected] Valid starting Expires Service principal 02/08/13 13:46:40 02/08/13 23:46:47 krbtgt/[email protected] renew until 02/09/13 13:46:40 Kerberos 4 ticket cache: /tmp/tkt600 klist: You have no tickets cached In application Apache configuration I added IfModule mod_auth_kerb.c> Location /winlogin> AuthType Kerberos AuthName "Kerberos Loginsss" KrbMethodNegotiate off KrbAuthoritative on KrbVerifyKDC off KrbAuthRealms EU.ORG.COM Krb5Keytab /home/crmdata/httpd/apache.keytab KrbSaveCredentials off Require valid-user </Location> </IfModule> I restarted apache Now some tests: When I try to access application from Win7, I got pop-up message box, with text: Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentification without a secure connection) When I enter valid credentials then my application opens successfully, and all works fine. Questions: Is ok that for user pop-ups such windows? If I use NTLM authentication then there no such pop-up. I checked IE Internet Options and there 'Enable Integrated Windows Authentication' is checked. Why IE try to send username and password to application apache? If I correct to understand then Windows self must make authentication via Active Directory using Kerberos protocol. When I try to access application from Win7 and I enter incorrect credentials to pop-up message box Application say Authentication failed (this is OK) In apache error log I see: [error] [client 192.168.56.1] krb5_get_init_creds_password() failed: Client not found in Kerberos database But now I cannot get possibility to enter valid credentials, only when I restart IE I can get again pop-up box. What could be incorrect or missing in my Kerberos setup? I read in some blog post that probably something is needed to be done in Active Directory side. What exactly?

  • Capture Outgoing Email to One Mailbox or Account on Linux

    I am looking to see if anything exists that would allow us to capture all outgoing email on a machine -- for example, in a staging environment -- and drop it in a single place, which ideally would be something we could check with a mail client. Currently we're doing this on the software level (if environment is staging, rewrite address) which is a bit ugly and leads to errors. The servers are currently on Debian Linux, using exim as the mail transport. Open to any and all suggestions!

  • Zenoss: Getting SNMP stats over SSH

    I have the SSH connection working. I have it successfully modeling the device (Ubuntu Server, in this case). What I can't get to work is the SNMP portion. It sounds like I have to custom add the snmpwalk command when doing monitoring over SSH - in other words, have Zenoss connect via SSH, and then run an arbitrary command agains the client (in this case, an snmpwalk), and then parse the results. What I need help doing is: Add the snmpwalk command to the SSH monitoring Parsing the output and getting the data back into the charts
