• How to add the document library column named "Type (icon linked to document)" into list view?

  I am working with a list view. I want a column to have look similar to the document library column named "Type (icon linked to document)" column. I should also be able to set the path this hyperlinked icon should open. I tried a lot with existing site columns but could still not figure out how to do this. Has anyone implemented this earlier.   Hi everyone, I have a tabpanel where some tabs are hidden. How can i check which tabs are hidden and which are not. For example: - There are 5 tabs tab1, tab2, tab3, tab4, tab5. tab2 and tab4 are hidden. - if i m in tab1 then tab2.hidden is true or tab2.isVisible() is false - if i m in tab1 then tab3.hidden is true or tab3.isVisible() is false So how can i check the actual hidden tabs???? • Having Latest Tests Results info in the notified email with Hudson

  I have a project with a lot of tests failing, so it would be great for me to receive by email the number of failed tests compare from the latest build. What i need is just the info that appears in the project's page by the test results link: Latest Test Result (10 failures / -2) Is this possible? I've already tried the email-ext plugin, but it is not telling me that info (I can have the list of failing tests with output etc., but I really just need that info above). Any ideas?

What do you think is best - from maintenance and performance point of view - to split these huge tables in smaller entities or to keep the tables the way they are ? We are using an ORM tools, so we don't need to write custom request.

• jQuery Horizontal scroll with unknown width of items

  I am creating a gallery using jQuery which displays pictures horizontally, with a "left" and "right" button below, that scrolls the row of images. There are plenty of tutorials and plugins for this. The problem for me though, is that 1) I don't know the width of the images. And 2) I need the item I scroll to, to be centered. • Why use mysql_real_escape_string, doesn't addslashes prevent everything?

  I was looking through the docs and stumbled onto mysql_real_escape_string() and I'm not understanding why it's useful when you can just addslashes(). Can someone show me a scenario as to why it's useful? I'm also curious why it requires a database connection.... that seems like a lot of overhead.

• Why would I use Dropbox *and* Git for my Emacs initialization file?

  I hear a lot of Emacs users have their init file under git version control and sync the git repository over Dropbox, when they run Emacs on multiple systems. Why would you use git in this situation exactly? Usually checking which system you're on and which things to load and set depending on that can happen in one and the same init file for all systems, right? So, isn't it simply enough to put your init file in a Dropbox directory and load that one directly from Emacs then?

Note that in version 3.0 and below the buttons normally appear as OK / Cancel and in 4.0 and above it is Cancel / OK. I want to force my application to use Cancel / OK in the simplest way possible.   Is there a way to see how many context switches each thread generates? (both in and out if possible) Either in X/s, or to let it run and give aggregated data after some time. (either on linux or on windows) I have found only tools that give aggregated context-switching number for whole os or per process. My program makes many context switches (50k/s), probably a lot not necessary, but I am not sure where to start optimizing, where do most of those happen.
