  • Wrap words in uitableview, iphone

    I am creating an rss feed application. As a sample i have downloaded apples rss feed, but the problem with it is that the words in the table cells are not wrapped. As the contents are of very lengthy, the users may not be able to read the full text from the table unless by going to that link. Instead, I need to display that in 2 or 3 lines, otherwise saying, need to use word wrap in the tables. How to implement that? pls reply

    Hi, I'm on Mac Snow Leopard and I just installed git. I just tried git clone [email protected]:cakebook.git but that gives me this error. Initialized empty Git repository in /Users/username/Documents/cakebook/.git/ Permission denied (publickey). fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly What am I missing?   • JQuery validation without requiring MS scripts in asp.net mvc2 project

    Is it possible to use the new client side validation features of asp.net MVC 2 without having to use the MS scripts (MicrosoftAjax.js, MicrosoftMvcAjax.js, MicrosoftMvcValidation.js)? I use JQuery throughout my application; JQuery has a great plugin for validation and I don't really want to force my users to load MS scripts just for validation. Is this possible? If so, any suggestions for how to accomplish it are appreciated.

    I know this is almost duplicate of : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1269706/the-error-login-failed-for-user-nt-authority-iusr-in-asp-net-and-sql-server-2 and http://stackoverflow.com/questions/97594/login-failed-for-user-username-system-data-sqlclient-sqlexception-with-linq-i but some things don't add up compared to other appliations on my server and I am not sure why. Boxes being used: Web Box SQL Box SQL Test Box My Application: I've got aASP.NET Web Application, which references a class library that uses LINQ-to-SQL. Connection string set up properly in the class library. As per http://stackoverflow.com/questions/97594/login-failed-for-user-username-system-data-sqlclient-sqlexception-with-linq-i I also added this connection string to the Web Application. The connection string uses SQL credentials as so (in both web app and class library): <add name="Namespace.My.MySettings.ConnectionStringProduction" connectionString="Data Source=(SQL Test Box);Initial Catalog=(db name);Persist Security Info=True;User ID=ID;Password=Password" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" /> This connection confirmed as working via adding it to server explorer. This is the connection string my .dbml file is using. The problem: I get the following error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\MACHINENAME$'. Now referencing this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1269706/the-error-login-failed-for-user-nt-authority-iusr-in-asp-net-and-sql-server-2 it says that's really the local network service and using any other non-domain name will not work. But I am confused because I've checked both SQL Box and SQL Test Box SQL Management Studio and both have NT AUTHORITY/NETWORK SERVICE under Security - Logins, at the database level, that isn't listed under Security - Users, but at the database level Security - Users I have the user displayed in the connection string. At NTFS level on web server, the permissions have NETWORK SERVICE has full control. The reason why I am confused is because I have many other web applications on my Web Server, that reference databases on both SQL Box and SQL Test Box, and they all work. But I cannot find a difference between them and my current application, other than I am using a class library. Will that matter? Checking NTFS permissions, setup of Security Logins at the server and databases levels, connection string and method of connecting (SQL Server credentials), and IIS application pool and other folder options, are all the same. Why do these applications work without adding the machinename$ to the permissions of either of my SQL boxes? But that is what the one link is telling me to do to fix this problem.

  • Is there a way to lock a branch in GIT

    I have an idea of locking a repository from users pushing files into it by having a lock script in the GIT update hook since the push can only recognize the userid as arguments and not the branches. So i can lock the entire repo which is just locking a directory. Is there a way to lock a specific branch in GIT? Or is there a way an Update Hook can identify from which branch the user is pushing and to which branch the code is pushed?

  • JQTOUCH - Anytime loading occurs, add a loading class?

    Hi, I'm using JQTOUCH and in JQTOUCH several of the links are being loading via AJAX and then sliding in. The problem is that there is no loading indication provided to users. I'd like a way to add a Loading class with an AJAX spinner, when ever the an ajax call is loading, and have the class removed when the loading is done, and the page is displayed. Any ideas?

  • Including Android Activities (and their layouts) in JAR files.

    I'm trying to write a library that can be shared as a JAR file. This library will include an Activity and I'd like to include the layout in the JAR. Since it doesn't seem possible to include resource files in a JAR and I don't want the end-users to have to include these files themselves I was thinking it would be a nice hack to include the XML as a String then manually inflate it. Does anyone know if this is possible? Any other ideas?

I have modified the [ui] section of Mercurial.ini (in my home path) to include: ignore = c:\users\user\.hgignore Where user is my username literal. The .hgignore file includes filters that that ignore the filenames correctly at commit time. But how can I alter it from being the a literal user to an environment variable $user?

    I have a list of users in local store that I need to update from a remote list of users every once in a while. Basically: If a remote user already exists locally, update its fields. If a remote user doesn't already exist locally, add the user. If a local user doesn't appear in the remote list, deactivate or delete. If a local user also appears in the remote list, update its fields. Just a simple case of syncing the local list. Is there a better way to do this in pure Java than the following?     I have a large VB program that connects to Oracle database. strCn = "Driver={Microsoft ODBC for Oracle};" & _ "SERVER=PSPROD;" Set Cn = New ADODB.Connection Cn.ConnectionString = strCn Cn.CursorLocation = adUseNone Cn.Open There are many users of my program so I have a table that contains each user's login name and their access rights to the various tables. I create a recordset of all users when the program is started and then select USERNAME and GRANTED_ROLE from the record set where USERNAME and PASSWORD are found. I use a "Set role 'GRANTED_ROLE' identified by 'password'" statment and Cn.Execute statement to set up the user's access rights. This is all done in a Module. On a form, I want to call a Stored Procedure that will SELECT, INSERT and UPDATE information into another schema's tables. My application uses a database that I'm currently storing in SQL Server. This works fine while I'm coding since I created the database manually on my computer. I see that VS2008 has created an .exe in my bin/debug folder, but how do I ensure that any new users (that doesn't already have the database) doing a fresh install gets the database also?
