Java Applet not caching

Hello world, I'm having a problem with a Java applet I've deployed that is refusing to be cached in the jvm's "sticky" cache (or by the browser). For some reason every time a user loads the page this applet is on, the jvm re-downloads the jar file from the server which causes a long delay. The webpage containing the applet is being accessed via the internet, so according to Sun's Java applet documentation I'm using an <applet> tag rather than an <object> or <embed> tag. Any help debugging or identifying the problem would be much appreciated. Can Nokogiri use a SAX parser to parse an HTML fragment?

Is there a way to use a SAX style parser on HTML fragments?

jQuery - change a list of elements to an associative array

Given an associative array (of the sort returned by jQuery.serializeArray()) like this: [ { 'name': 'abc', 'value': 'aaa', '__proto__': [Object] }, { 'name': 'def', 'value': 'bbb', '__proto__': [Object] }, { 'name': 'abc', 'value': 'ccc', '__proto__': [Object] } ] How can one convert this, using either jQuery or just javascript, to an associative array of name: [values] like this: { 'abc': ['aaa', 'ccc'], 'def': ['bbb'] } This seems to essentially be the inverse of this question: Build associative array based on values of another associative array... but in Javascript (not PHP). I wasn't able to find this question on Stackoverflow, though I thought it would have been asked. Thank you for reading. Brian

Error while splitting application context file in spring

I am trying to split the ApplicationContext file in Spring. For ex. the file is testproject-servlet.xml having all the entries. Now I want to split this single file into multiple files according to logical groups like : group1-services.xml, group2-services.xml I have created following entries in web.xml : <servlet> <servlet-name>testproject</servlet-name> <servlet-class> org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet </servlet-class> <init-param> <param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name> <param-value> /WEB-INF/group1-services.xml, /WEB-INF/group2-services.xml </param-value> </init-param> <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup> </servlet> I am using SimpleUrlHandlerMapping as: RegisterController PayrollServicesController I also have the controller defined as : .. .. The problem is that I have splitted the ApplicationContext file "testproject-servlet.xml" into two different files and I have kept the above entries in "group1-services.xml". Is it fine? I want to group things logically based on their use in seperate .xml files. But I am getting the following error when I try to access a page inside the application : org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet noHandlerFound WARNING: No mapping for [/TestProject/payroll_services.htm] in DispatcherServlet with name 'testproject' Please tell me how to resolve it. Alter View not recognizing column

I have scripts for adding columns to tables which worked. When I run scripts to alter views with the new column the script fails because the columns are not recognized Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Procedure UniqueTempDispositions, Line 76 Invalid column name 'servicerequestid'. Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Procedure UniqueTempDispositions, Line 47 Invalid column name 'servicerequestid'. Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Procedure MergeDispositions, Line 54 Invalid column name 'ServiceRequestID'. Msg 207, Level 16, State 1, Procedure NonPIICachedDispositions, Line 18 Invalid column name 'ServiceRequestID'. Any reason why? Am I missing something? I've started and stopped the server, I've relogged in to no avail.

Why is this so? And how can i avoid this? I am using JPA1 with Hibernate 3 and the Oracle 10g dialect.

Find first item inside angular brackets after occurrence of other item, using RegEx, in C#

I have an xml-like text, in which I would like to find the item that occurs in the first occurrence of a certain pattern: typically: ... <PropertyGroup><name>true</name></PropertyGroup><PropertyGroup>.... .... Could also be ... <PropertyGroup> <name> true</name> </PropertyGroup> ... <PropertyGroup> ... In the above, I need to extract the "name". My initial assumption was that all occurrences were to be in one line, and I wrote my code using string properties, but it is very difficult o take in consideration every possibility, and only RegEx can save me. I just don't know how to write it... I Have started with something like this: Regex regex = new Regex("(?<=<PropertyGroup>#)<+"); Match matches = regex.Matches(Text)[0]; MessageBox.Show(matches.ToString()); I think this finds the first item after a <PropertyGroup>, but I don't know how to make it get the item within the angular brackets... (which may be after one or more newlines, and/or spaces). I know that there are utilities for parsing xml, but I am looking for something simple to insert in a c# program Can someone please help me ? Need help configurating my Tomcat server without any WAR files

I just reinstalled my entire server, and now I can't seem to get my JSP-based website to work on Tomcat anymore. I use the same server.xml file, which worked perfectly before the reinstallation, but no longer. Reading UTF-8 XML and writing it to a file with Python

I'm trying to parse UTF-8 XML file and save some parts of it to another file. Problem is, that this is my first Python script ever and I'm totally confused about the character encoding problems I'm finding. Gson Deserialize to Java Tree

I need to deserialize some JSON to a Java tree structure that contains TreeNodes and NodeData. TreeNodes are thin wrappers around NodeData. I'll provide the JSON and the classes below. I have looked at the usual Gson help sources, including here, but I can't seem to come up with the solution. Serialization works fine with Gson. The JSON below was produced by Gson. But deserialization is the problem I need help with. Can someone show me how to write the deserializer (or suggest an alternative approach using Gson best practices)? Here is my JSON. jQuery HOW TO?? pass additional parameters to success callback for $.ajax call ?

Hello jQuery Ninjas! I am trying, in vain it seems, to be able to pass additional parameters back to the success callback method that I have created for a successful ajax call. A little background. I have a page with a number of dynamically created textbox / selectbox pairs. Each pair having a dynamically assigned unique name such as name="unique-pair-1_txt-url" and name="unique-pair-1_selectBox" then the second pair has the same but the prefix is different. In an effort to reuse code, I have crafted the callback to take the data and a reference to the selectbox. However when the callback is fired the reference to the selectbox comes back as 'undefined'. I read here that it should be doable. I have even tried taking advantage of the 'context' option but still nothing. new line in a multi-line string

Trying to override a tostring in one of my classes. return string.Format(@" name = {0} ID = {1} sec nr = {2} acc nr = {3}", string, int, int ,int); // types But the thing is, the result isn't aligned when printed out: name = test ID = 42 sec nr = 11 acc nr = 55 Trying to add \n just prints it out without formating. Guessing it has something to do with @"" which I'm using for multi-lining. Would like it to print out : name = test ID = 42 sec nr = 11 acc nr = 55

I have a web service that is working fine in one environment but not in another. The web service gets document meta data from SharePoint, it running on a server where I cant debug but with logging I confirmed that the method enters and exits successfully. What could be the reason for the errors? The error message is, The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter http://CompanyName.com.au/ProjectName:GetDocumentMetaDataResponse. Suppose I defined a structure like this: struct person { char name [10]; int age; }; and declared two person variables: person Bob; person John; where Bob.name = "Bob", Bob.age = 30 and John.name = "John",John.age = 25. and I called Bob = John; struct person would do a Memberwise assignment and assign Johns's member values to Bob's. But arrays can't assign to arrays, so how does the assignment of the "name" array work?

Using the HTML 'label' tag with radio buttons

Does the label tag work with radio buttons? If so, how do you use it? I have a form that displays like this: First Name: (text field) Hair Color: (color drop-down) Description: (text area) Salutation: (radio buttons for Mr., Mrs., Miss) I'd like to use the label tag for each label in the left column to define its connection to the appropriate control in the right column. But If I use a radio button, the spec seems to indicate that suddenly the actual "Salutation" label for the form control no longer belongs in the label tag, but rather the options "Mr., Mrs., etc." go in the label tag. I've always been a fan of accessibility and the semantic web, but this design doesn't make sense to me. The label tag explicitly declares labels. The option tag selection options. How do you declare a label on the actual label for a set of radio buttons? The problem is that a lot of code is dealt with on Events that are arriving via threadpool threads (as far as I can tell) so their names are not in relation to any context. Hi, what I would like to accomplish is the following: have autocommit enabled so per default all queries get commited if there is a @Transactional on a method, it overrides the autocommit and encloses all queries into a single transaction, thus overriding the autocommit if there is a @Transactional method that calls other @Transactional annotated methods, the outer most annotation should override the inner annotaions and create a larger transaction, thus annotations also override eachother I am currently still learning about spring-orm and couldn't find documentation about this and don't have a test project for this yet. So my questions are: What is the default behaviour of transactions in spring? If the default differs from my requirement, is there a way to configure my desired behaviour? How does one inject variables into page templates from a custom Drupal module?

We've created a custom module for organizing and publishing our newsletter content. The issue I'm running into now -- and I'm new to theming and Drupal module development, so it could just be a knowledge issue as opposed to a Drupal issue -- is how to get each newsletter themed. At this point the URL structure of our newsletter will be: /newsletters/{newsletter-name}/{edition-name}/{issue-date} which means that we can create template files in our theme using filenames like page-newsletters-{newsletter-name}-{edition-name}.tpl.php, which is great. The one issue I'm running into is that all of the content comes through in the $content variable of the theme. I'd like to have it come through as different variables (so that I can, inside the theme, place certain content in certain areas.) Is there a proper way for doing this?
