  Hi All, I have got this error when using Enterprise Library 3.1 May 2007 version. We are developing a product and have a common lib directory beneath the Subversion Trunk directory <\Trunk\Lib\ into which we put all the third party DLLs. Inside this we have Microsoft\EnterpriseLibrary\v3.1 in which we have copied all the dlls from \Program Files\Microsoft Enterprise Library May2007\bin. Everything was working properly until one of the developers installed the source code on this machine. There were some dlls copied at the end of the source code installation and once that was done, he is not able to run the project anymore. He always gets this error 'Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data, Version=3.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)' What is the problem here? I thought that when the source code was installed it was just supposed to build everything and copy in the bin directory within the source code parent directory. Also we have copied the Dlls from Microsoft Enterprise Library May 2007\bin directory into our product development directory and references into our project with a copylocal flag set to true. Can anyone help me out here RK

• Connecting git to github on windows 7 without bash

  I'm setting up git on my new Windows 7 machine and I'm hitting a roadblock when it comes to getting github to acknowledge my ssh key. I am doing things a little different from the standard script in that I would rather not use cygwin and prefer to use my powershell prompt. The following is what I did: I installed msysgit (portable). I went to C:\program files\git\bin and used ssh-keygen to generate a public/private ssh keypair which I put in c:\Temp I then created a directory named .ssh\ in c:\Users\myusername\ (on windows 7) I moved both the files generated by the ssh-keygen (id_rsa and id_rsa.pub) into the .ssh directory I went to my account on github, created a new public key, copy-pasted the contents of id_rsa.pub into it and saved I now go to my powershell prompt, set-alias git 'C:\program files\git\bin\git.exe' I try to now do a clone [email protected]:togakangaroo/ps-profile.git which rejects my authentication: Permission denied (publickey). fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly Past experience says that this means git is not recognizing my key. What steps am I missing? I have a feeling that I need to somehow configure git so that it knows where my ssh keys are (though it would seem it should look there automatically) but I don't know how to do that. Another possible clue is that when I try to run git config --global user.name "George Mauer" I get an error fatal: $HOME not set I did however set up a HOME environment user variable with the value %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

At first, I thought that my tokenizer class was broken. But after logging all the incoming bytes to the tokenizer, it turns out that the raw bytes in recvb weren't a valid message. I didn't think that corrupted data like this was possible with a tcp data stream. I figured it had to be some type of buffer overflow so I set sock.ReceiveBufferSize = 1024 * 1024 * 8; and the parsing error never, ever occurs in testing (it happens often enough to replicate if I don't change the ReceiveBufferSize). But my question is: why wasn't I seeing an exception or an error state or something if the socket's internal buffer was overflowing before I changed this buffer size?

  Here's what I've done... I used wsdl.exe to create a .cs class for my wsdl service connection. I made a Visual Studio project to compile the .cs into a dll having namespace CalculatorService (CalculatorService.dll). Successful thus far. I created an asp.net project added my namespace import: %@ Import Namespace="CalculatorService" % I right-clicked on the project, clicked Add Reference, found my .dll, added it, built the project, checked /bin to ensure my dll was there (and it was). % 'I called the namespace:' Dim calcService As New CalculatorService.CalculatorService() 'called the function from the service' Dim xmlResult = calcService.GetSVS_ItemTable_XML("", "", "", "", "", "") 'printed the result' Response.Write(xmlResult) % All is well LOCALLY while debugging. It found the CalculatorService, connected to it, got the XML and displayed it. I then wanted to put it on the web so I built and published my project: under "Copy" - Only files needed to run this application...selected! • Consume a WCF Web Service in Sharepoint Services 3.0

  I've seen this question and since it doesn't answer my question and the topic is fairly miss-leading in my opinion, I feel the urge to ask this again. I have a Sharepoint Webpart that I deploy using Visual Studio Sharepoint Tools 1.2 to a Sharepoint Services 3.0 instance on my local Windows 2003 server. All works great, however, as soon as I add a WCF Service it won't run the code. All I get is a File not found error.   I would like to parse a config file using glib in Codeblocks which I use. So I want to do exactly the example which is described here first. I have a file named myconfig.cfg and and a code programming.c. I just copy and paste the code to see if glib works but unfortunately it does not work. • How to prevent duplicate records being inserted with SqlBulkCopy when there is no primary key

  I receive a daily XML file that contains thousands of records, each being a business transaction that I need to store in an internal database for use in reporting and billing. I was under the impression that each day's file contained only unique records, but have discovered that my definition of unique is not exactly the same as the provider's. The current application that imports this data is a C#.Net 3.5 console application, it does so using SqlBulkCopy into a MS SQL Server 2008 database table where the columns exactly match the structure of the XML records. Each record has just over 100 fields, and there is no natural key in the data, or rather the fields I can come up with making sense as a composite key end up also having to allow nulls. Currently the table has several indexes, but no primary key. Basically the entire row needs to be unique. If one field is different, it is valid enough to be inserted. I looked at creating an MD5 hash of the entire row, inserting that into the database and using a constraint to prevent SqlBulkCopy from inserting the row,but I don't see how to get the MD5 Hash into the BulkCopy operation and I'm not sure if the whole operation would fail and roll back if any one record failed, or if it would continue. The file contains a very large number of records, going row by row in the XML, querying the database for a record that matches all fields, and then deciding to insert is really the only way I can see being able to do this. I was just hoping not to have to rewrite the application entirely, and the bulk copy operation is so much faster. Does anyone know of a way to use SqlBulkCopy while preventing duplicate rows, without a primary key? Or any suggestion for a different way to do this?

(parentComponent is the reference to the component which contains the DG).

• Can I Specify Strings for MySql Table Values?

  I have a MySql table that stores the users state and city from a list of states and cities. I specifically coded each state as their two letter shortened version (like WA for Washington and CA for California) and every city has the two letter abbreviation and the city name formated like this: Boulder Colorado would be CO-boulder and Salt Lake City, Utah would be UT-salt-lake-city as to avoid different states with same city name. The PHP inserts the value (UT-salt-lake-city) under the column City, but when I call the variable through PHP, it displays like this: Your location is: UT-salt-lake-city, Utah. • how to run pentaho bi-server on CentOS 6.2 and PostgreSQL 8.4.x?

  I'm trying to run an instance of Pentaho's bi-server-ce on a freshly installed CentOS 6.2 using PostgreSQL 8.4.x. I've installed a JDK 1.6 instance and it is working. Also I've a tomcat 6.0.35 instance where I run a few apps. I'd like bi-server to be one of many apps I run on this tomcat. Regarding Pentaho's Bi-Server installation I'm following the guide from https://docs.google.com/document/edit?id=1OnvHYsa-nYgwP8bjqRqjP5Vy-gLI5xomOHZtOvA00Ns#bookmark=id.2d95068df264 I've adapted the steps to my local installation, but still I can't start the server.   Hi, I have problem creating directories and files with NSFileManager on the iPhone device. My code, shown below, works fine on the simulator, but not on the device, could you please help me? • Eclipse throwing error when copying and pasting

  I am using Eclipse 3.5 SR2 for Java EE developers. Each time I press control+C or control+V for the first time after I open a file I get an error. After I close the error, I can successfully copy and paste. The error message made me believe that it was related to the Mylyn plugin, but I uninstalled it and still no difference. Has anyone else experience this problem? I also have the subclipse, adobe flex builder, and maven plugins installed. • Setting up an efficient and effective development process

  I am in the midst of setting up the development environment (PHP/MySQL) for my start-up. We use three sets of servers: LIVE - the servers which provide the actual application TEST - providing a testing version before it is actually released DEV - the development servers The development servers run SVN with each developer checking out their local copy. At the end of each day completed fixes are checked in and then we use Hudson to automate our build process and then transfer it over to TEST. We then check the application still functions correctly using a tester and then if everything is fine move it to LIVE. I am happy with this process but I do have two questions: How would you recommend we do local testing - as each developer adds new pages or changes functionality I want them to be able to test what they are doing. Would you just setup local Apache and a local database and have them test locally on their own machine? How would you recommend dealing with data layer changes? Is there anything else you would recommend doing to really make our development process as easy and efficient as possible? Thanks in advance

• ng-grid checkbox with filtering

  If I have a huge table with ng-grid, and I enabled a checkbox to select all. Is there a way for me to combine this selectAll feature with the filtering box. I mean when I filter out the rows, I want to click the checkbox so that the rows filtered will be all selected; once I clean out filter, those selectedRows are still left so that I can add more rows into it with other filters.   I have a procedure that has a SYS_REFCURSOR as an OUT parameter. The signature is, for example, as follows: PROCEDURE myProc(p_someID IN INTEGER, p_cursor OUT SYS_REFCURSOR); I call this procedure from a function, where I have to copy a column named clientID from the p_cursor to a scalar nested table.   I'm trying to solve wordEnds from codingbat.com using regex. This is the simplest as I can make it with my current knowledge of regex: public String wordEnds(String str, String word) { return str.replaceAll( String.format( ".*?(?=%s)(?<=(.|^))%1$s(?=(.|$))|.+", java.util.regex.Pattern.quote(word) ), "$1$2" ); } String.format is used to inject word into the pattern for both readability and convenience (it's injected twice). Pattern.quote isn't necessary to pass their tests, but I think it's required for a proper regex-based solution. The regex has two major parts: If after matching as few characters as possible ".*?", word can still be found "(?=%s)", then lookbehind to capture any character immediately preceding it "(?<=(.|^))", match word "%1$s" and lookforward to capture any character following it "(?=(.|$))". The initial "if" test ensures that the atomic lookbehind captures only if there's a word Using lookahead to capture the following character doesn't consume it, so it can be used as part of further matching Otherwise match what's left "|.+" Groups 1 and 2 would capture empty strings I think this works in all cases, but it's obviously quite complex. I'm just wondering if others can suggest a simpler regex to do this. Note: I'm not looking for a solution using indexOf and a loop. I want a regex-based replaceAll solution. I also need a working solution that I can just copy-paste into codingbat and passes.

• VS2010 and Windows XP SP3

  At home I've been running VS 2010 on a Windows 7 x64 machine without any issues, however at work we recently switched over to VS 2010 running on WinXP SP3 x86 - and I gotta say, the experience is terrible. There are severe graphical glitches. For ex, Intellisense doesn't quite work. You can start typing and the intellisense dropdown window seems to be working, but the text I'm typing vanishes. I can't see it until I hit the Escape key or refresh the window by say, alt-tabbing to another application and then back again to VS2010 If I cut/copy/paste and then move the cursor around by scrolling or using the arrow keys, different parts of the text window don't update themselves properly. I can see patches of a different piece of code where it shouldn't be. Other team members are also facing the similar issues as well. Is there some patch that I should install? I have already installed the UIA 3 patch ScottGu mentioned in his blog. Any help would be appreciated. -Thanks!

  I want to run a batch file, which I do via the following: <CustomAction Id='InstallFilter' FileKey='install' ExeCommand='' Execute='deferred' /> <InstallExecuteSequence> <Custom Action='InstallFilter' Before='InstallFinalize' /> </InstallExecuteSequence> This will execute the batch file, but it runs in C:\Windows\System32 (or something like that). I want it to run in the directory that the file is found in. It won'et let me specify a Directory attribute with a FileKey attribute. How can I tell the installer to run out of a specific directory, preferably by the directory ID. Also, when I try to uninstall my app with script, I get an error message saying "There is a problem with the Windows Installer package. A program required for the install to complete could not be run." This makes sense, as by the time the script gets run, the files have been removed. The question is: How do I specify that my action should only be run on install, not uninstall? How do I uninstall this current copy?

• Convert ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8

  I have several documents I need to convert from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 (without the BOM of course). This is the issue though. I have so many of these documents (it is actually a mix of documents, some UTF-8 and some ISO-8859-1) that I need an automated way of converting them. Unfortunately I only have ActivePerl installed and don't know much about encoding in that language. I may be able to install PHP, but I am not sure as this is not my personal computer. Just so you know, I use Scite or Notepad++, but both do not convert correctly. For example, if I open a document in Czech that contains the character "ž" and go to the "Convert to UTF-8" option in Notepad++, it incorrectly converts it to an unreadable character. There is a way I CAN convert them, but it is tedious. If I open the document with the special characters and copy the document to Windows clipboard, then paste it into a UTF-8 document and save it, it is okay. This is too tedious (opening every file and copying/pasting into a new document) for the amount of documents I have. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

• What are common anti-patterns when using VBA

  I have being coding a lot in VBA lately (maintenance and new code), specifically with regards to Excel automation etc. = macros. Typically most of this has revolved around copy/paste, send some emails, import some files etc. but eventually just ends up as a Big ball of mud As a person who values clean code, I find it very difficult to produce 'decent' code when using VBA. I think that in most cases, this is a direct result of the macro-recorder. Very helpful to get you started, but most times, there are one too many lines of code that achieve the end result. Edit: The code from the macro-recorder is used as a base to get started, but is not used in its entirety in the end result I have already created a common addin that has my commonly used subroutines and some utility classes in an early attempt to enforce some DRYness - so this I think is a step in the right direction. But I feel as if it's a constant square peg, round hole situation. The wiki has an extensive list of common anti-patterns and what scared me the most was how many I have implemented in one way or another. The question Now considering, that my mindset is OO design, what some common anti-patterns and the possible solutions when designing a solution (think of this - how would designing a solution using Excel and VBA be different from say a .net/java/php/.../ etc solution) ; and when doing common tasks like copying data, emailing, data importing, file operations... etc An anti-pattern as defined by Wikipedia is: In software engineering, an anti-pattern (or antipattern) is a pattern that may be commonly used but is ineffective and/or counterproductive in practice

• Mercurial hg Subrepository Problem - "abort: unknown revision'

  Note: I asked this yesterday over at kiln.stackexchange.com, but haven't gotten an answer, and it's holding up my work. So I figured I'd give it a shot here. My main mercurial repository has a bunch of subrepositories in it. During initial setup, I made a mistake in my .hgsub. Namely, I pointed two subrepositories to the same directory. What I should have had: sites/1=sites/1 sites/2=sites/2 sites/3=sites/3 What I actually had: sites/1=sites/1 sites/2=sites/2 sites/2=sites/3 Stupid copy/paste error. I committed the incorrect .hgsub, not realizing my error. A few revisions later, while adding a some new subrespositories to .hgsub, I noticed the mistake and fixed it inside .hgsub. I committed and kept rolling along. I've committed a reasonable amount of work that I'd prefer not to redo since I 'fixed' the mistake in .hgsub. Now we come to the actual problem: I've made some changes inside the subrepository sites/3, and when I try to commit the main repository, I get the following error: abort: unknown revision 'LongGUIDLookingString' I found this discussion, which seems to address the same problem I'm having, but I can't quite work out how bos fixed it. What do I need to do in order to fix this?
