• Vim error E492: Not an editor command: dd

  I started learning vim today and installed it using sudo apt-get install vim Now, when I try to do something like :5dd it gives me the not an editor command error. I'm not sure why this is. Am I doing anything wrong? I looked at tutorials and everywhere I look I see that 5dd is a valid command.

  After using the IE8 built in Developers Tools for the first time, I noticed jQuery is attaching an attribute to some of my elements: I've never noticed this before. In fact, this doesn't show up in Firebug... I'm only seeing it for the first time now in IE8 Developer Tools. Does anyone know what jQuery uses this for, and why it's hidden in firebug?

  Hi, I've got quite a large Xcode project that since an Xcode upgrade is giving me loads of "'weak_import' attribute ignored" warnings, they are coming from WebKit, and a bit of research suggests it's a compiler bug. Is there anyway to suppress them, I'm getting thousands, making the 'real' warnings impossible to find. Cheers MT

CodeMirror has a good syntax highlighting support but does not seem to support auto-completion.   I have a Google Wave robot which makes changes to some blip content depending on what a user inputs. When this edit is made, the robot is listed in the blip as one of the people who have edited it (so shows its Avatar and robot name). I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible (and if so how), to stop the robot being listed as an editor (either by it not happening in the first place, or removing it afterwards).

  Since Grails 1.2 there's a documentation engine included: gdoc. The documentation's syntax is based on the Textile format. Is there some editor support for this? My first choice would be a plugin for IntelliJ, second option on for vim or gedit. Any hints welcome.   I am using the Mac OS X Apple Script Editor and (while debugging) instead of writing a lot of display dialog statements, I'd like to write the results of some calculation in the window below, called "Result" (I have the German UI here, so the translation is a guess).
