    board image the above is a board layout done by using gridbaglayout. i would like insets of 5 pixels around the whole board but not between each label. i scaned the api and havent come up with something that lets me do this. does this mean i have to nest my board gui inside another gridbaglayout with the insets desired? thank you.

Meaning it will push content down if it has to, or fill up any remaining space if the complete content is less then the view port. This would be really nice to make the whole sticky footer thing much easier and robust.

  • How do I echo $command without breaking the layout

    Hi. I'm trying to do the following in a bash script: com=`ssh host "ls -lh" ` echo $com It works, but the echo will break the output (instead of getting all lines in a column, I get them all in a row). If I do: ssh host ls -lh in the CLI it will give me the correct output + layout. Any ideas?

    I am looking for a place where I can download a bunch of CSS stylesheets to change the appearance of my titles, links, paragraphs, etc. I am not an artist, so I am hoping to leverage other people's skills in choosing the right fonts, colors, sizes, etc. I do not want to include layout because then it won't be as generic.   • my layout breaks in IE7 and javascript page reloads make the screen blink

    My layout breaks if I change the window size in IE7/AOL, so I added a simple javascript function that fires on window.onresize, but no matter how I change the location I get problems. It was suggested I post a link and here it is: link text I already use PHP to detect browser and include an IE7-only inline stylesheet (and for mobile browsers), and my page looks nearly identical to the way it does in FF, Opera, Chrome, Safari and IE8, but when I change the window size, some things go wonky, and come back into line if you refresh. Any advice is welcome :)

    Hi, In netbeans I should want a layout like the second in this page : http://wiki.netbeans.org/WinsysLayoutFor65 The navigator is in bottom, left side. I can't do that. If I select menu Window/Navigating/Navigator, the navigators appears in the middle panel. If I drag drop it, it goes in left, or in bottom, but never in bottom left. How is it possible to put it in bottom left ? Thanks.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? The style (CSS) for that part, is nearly 100% copied over, only that I've changed the font, but kept within same family.

  • 2 column div layout: right column fixed width, left fluid, height relative to eachother

    I want a layout with two columns, two divs, where the left one has fluid width and the right one has fixed width. So far so good - see jsfiddle below - however, the height of the right column must be in relation to the height of the left column. So that if I have some content in the fluid column and would resize the browser window, thereby increasing or decreasing the height of the left column, the right one should follow and getting the same height.   • JQuery. Layout is shaking during animation

    Hello everybody, JQuery accordion animation (as well as simple hides / shows) looks weird with some browsers (IE, Opera). But Fire Fox and Chrome renders animation perfectly without artifacts. Html layout tends to shake with IE / Opera during animation as if surrounding paddings / margins are changed for small random value. How can I minimize this effect. Is it jquery bug or browsers issue?
