    Hi, I have a simple parent object having many children. I'm trying to figure out how to use a named scope for bringing back just parents with specific numbers of children. Is this possible? class Foo < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :bars named_scope :with_no_bars, ... # count of bars == 0 named_scope :with_one_bar, ... # count of bars == 1 named_scope :with_more_than_one_bar, ... # count of bars > 1 end class Bar < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :foo end I'm hoping to do something like Foo.with_one_bar I could write methods on the parent class for something like this, but I'd rather have the power of the named scope

    i have the pretty same sample as mentioned here. Fast concluded: MainWindow closes when the last childwindow is closed. My Problem: I couldn't solve my problems with the described solutions. I can't produce a program where it als takes place. Only in one of my bigger progs. Maybe someone has an idea or knows any further steps. What i want to do is, all the info will shows off on the TextBox when the user click the button. The searching node will be based on the pid. Next button will adding 1 value of pid (let's say pid=2) and it will search on the node that have the same value of pid=2. it also will show the name for the pid=2. (showing name=abc) Same goes to the previous button where it will reduce 1value of pid (pid=1).   • HTML: How to get a child element to show behind (lower z-index) than its parent

    I need for a certain dynamic element to always appear on top of another element, no matter what order in the DOM tree they are. Is this possible? I've tried z-index (with position: relative), and it doesn't seem to work. I hate to be vague, but this is the simplest way I can think of asking this question without explaining its purpose ad nauseum. So, to recap, I need <div class="a"> <div class="b"></div> </div> <div class="b"> <div class="a"></div> </div> To display exactly the same when rendered. And for flexibility purposes (I'm planning on distributing a plugin that needs this functionality), I'd really like to not have to resort to absolute or fixed positioning.

  • Spawning and waiting for child processes in Python

    The relevant part of the code looks like this: pids = [] for size in SIZES: pids.append(os.spawnv(os.P_NOWAIT, RESIZECMD, [RESIZECMD, lotsOfOptions])) # Wait for all spawned imagemagick processes to finish while pids: (pid, status) = os.waitpid(0, 0) if pid: pids.remove(pid) What this should be doing is spawning all of the processes off, then waiting for each process to finish before continuing. What it does is work for the most part but sometimes crash on the next section (when it expects all of these processes to be finished). Is there something wrong with this? Is there a better way of doing it? The environment it has to work on is CentOS with Python 2.4, but I'm testing on Cygwin with Python 2.5, so it could be that it fails on my machine but will work on the Linux one (the Linux machine is very slow and this error is rare, so I haven't been able to get it on there).

    I have an application that isn't nav based. So there is no UINavigationController in the App Delegate. However, I need to switch to a UINavigationController for a piece of the application. Steps I currently took... Create a new Class that extends UIViewController Added a UINavigationController via IB Told IB that the new UIViewController's view is the view for the UINavigationController The problem now is that the File's Owner needs it's view set. But via IB there is no way to specify this. So obviously, I'm not going about this the right way. Any tips in the right direction are much appreciated.

I start a process like the code below, when process exists, the Exist event of the process is fired but it closed my console application too, I just want to start a process and then in exit event of that process start another process. It is also wired that process output is reflecting in my main console application. Now, when I swipe on the div element, I was expecting it to actually trigger the event. This works in iPod touch as expected but does not work on my Android device unless I randomly start swiping everywhere until I happen to swipe on that small wrapper div element itself. I am not sure how to explain this but hink of it as sending events to the wrapper div itself. Both use the WebKit engine. Can someone tell me if I am doing something wrong?

Anyways, I have an inheritance tree like such (I know the architecture isn't ideal): BaseClass GeneralForm : Inherits BaseClass SpecificForm : Inherits GeneralForm And an object like so: MyItem MySpecificItem : Inherits MyItem I have Items As List (Of MyItem) as a property in BaseClass. I would like for SpecificForm to somehow override Items to return type List (Of MySpecificItem). I feel like this is easy to do, but again, my head is spinning and I can't think straight at the moment. Thank you so much in advance.

I have tried something like this: return session.Linq<Enquiry>() .Where(enquiry => enquiry.Created < DateTime.Now) .Select(enquiry => enquiry.Sender) In this case I get an InvalidCastException saying you can't cast type Sender to type Enquiry. Any pointers on how I can do this without using HQL?

  • JPanel not listening to key event when there is a child component with JButton on it

    I'm working on a map editor for my college project. And I had a problem that the map panel is not listening key event while it should. This happens when I add a ToolBarPane (which extends JPanel) with JComponent such as JButton, JComboBox that implements ActionListener on it AND the map panel (which extends the JPanel) together on to the Frame (I used BorderLayout). I have System.out.println statement to test if the key press is received, and it's not printing, if I remove the ToolBar, the key listener works again, so is the mouseListenner is disabled just like the keyListener, which means I can't handle press events etc, but the mouseListener works fine and I can still handle mouse move event. Here is a screen shot how it works without the ToolBarPane http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/3232/sampleku.png note that you can use the mouse to put images on the map, you can also select images using the mouse just like a laser tool, and by pressing number key you can switch between different images, this works fine until I add the ToolBarPane which shows like this: img291.imageshack.us/img291/8020/failve.png (please add http before that, i can only post one hyperlink) (I can't post images here cuz im a new user) With the ToolBarPane on I was no longer able to handle the key event. I guess it might by that the focus as been transfered to that panel somehow, but not sure at all. Does and body know this and can help me out? Thanks very much

    I am developing a C# VS 2008 / SQL Server 2008 website. Although this same code compiles in the Project version, the website version does not compile. Many of their files are the same so I do not understand even where to look. The only compile error I get is: Could not load type 'DataMatch' in my DataMatch.aspx file. Is the problem in my web.config file? How do websites differ from projects in VS? All four of these files reside in same directory. For example, if the user selects "Pattern Match" then I want to show only the first textbox and hide the latter two; conversely, if the user selects "Length" or any of the "Number of..." items, then I want to hide the first TextBox and show the latter two. What is the best way to achieve this? I was hoping to do something simple in the SelectionChanged event handler for the listbox but the textbox controls are presumably out of the SelectionChanged event's scope. Do I have to programmatically traverse the control hierarchy and find the controls?

However, to prevent taking screenshot of the same website twice I have to check whether there already has been taken screenshot of the website, while looping through another users websites.
