  First I would like to say thanks for helping, and I have huge problem with proper set up permission for shared folders. I have Windows 7 x64 ent. - name: backupfb - added to domain with shared folder on drive e: (e:\backup) 50 clients/laptops with TSM Tivoli fastback for workstations who save files on shared folder And I need to configure proper permission for my shared folders that only owner of folder can access to their folders. Folder structure is: e:\backup <- shared as a "backup" folder \\backupfb\backup\ e:\backup\BackupAdmin <-- directory is used by the Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack for Workstations client to download revisions and configurations. Nodes require read-only access to these directories e:\backup\RealTimeBackup <-- enable client accounts to create directories that are only accessible by the account that created them. As a result, the directory that contains data for a node is not created until that node connects to the server. • java.lang.ClassFormatError: Extra bytes at end of class file

  I'm getting an odd error when I try and run this program. The class compiles fine into multiple .class files and I compiled it last week (before editing it) just fine. But now, I see this: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassFormatError: Extra bytes at the end of class file blah/hooplah/fubar/nonsense/IndexId$Transaction From what I've looked up, Java 6 build 1.5 could fix it since it allows extra bytes at the end of class files (I think), but I would much rather use build 1.6. Any clear ideas on how this happened or how to fix it?

• ASP.NET / Active Directory - Supporting auto login for domain users

  I am developing a simple ASP.NET website that will run on the intranet on a WS2008(IIS7) box and respond to users running XP/IE8. Everything is domain connected and I am trying to automatically login the users much like SharePoint does. On my dev machine (XP), when running the site through VS, everything works. I can pickup on the user perfectly. I am using the following settings: <authentication mode="Windows"/> <identity impersonate="true"/> <anonymousIdentification enabled="false"/> <authorization> <allow users="*"/> <deny users="?"/> </authorization> However, when I publish to the WS2008 box, it doesn't work. Clearly I am missing a setting in IIS7 to support this. I have the following set for Authentication on the site: Anon Auth - Enabled ASP.NET Impersonation - Enabled Basic Auth - Disabled Forms Auth - Disabled Windows Auth - Disabled What am I missing? In the previous page i set a session variable, after going to this download page and download the file, then press back i find the session=null "this happen after downloading more than 1 time", and the application_end in global.ascx called. • Binding not writing to datasource on .NET Compact Framework Form -- works on Full Framework

  I have a problem with a bound user control writing back to it's datasource on a NetCF forms application. The application is too complex to post code, so I made a toy version to show you. I create a form, usercontrol with a combobox, a class (testBind) and another class (TestLookup). I bind a property of the usercontrol ("value") to a property ("selectedValue") on the testBind class. The testBind class implements INotifyPropertyChanged. I create a few fascade methods on the user control to bind the contained combobox to a BindingList(of TestLookup). I create a button to show the value of the testBind bound property (in a MessageBox). The messagebox returns "-1" every time regardless of the combobox entry selected. I can take the EXACT same code, paste it in a full framework Forms app and it will return the correct value of the selected combobox entry. • Java JRE 7 Certified with Oracle E-Business Suite

  Java Runtime Environment 7u10 (a.k.a. JRE 1.7.0_10 build 18) and later updates on the JRE 7 codeline are now certified with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i and 12 Windows-based desktop clients. What's needed to enable EBS environments for JRE 7? EBS customers should ensure that they are running JRE 7u10, at minimum, on Windows desktop clients. Of the compatibility issues identified with JRE 7, the most critical is an issue that prevents E-Business Suite Forms-based products from launching on Windows desktops that are running JRE 7.  Customers can prevent this issue -- and all other JRE 7 compatibility issues -- by ensuring that they have applied the latest certified patches documented for JRE 7 configurations to their EBS application tier servers.  These are summarized here for convenience. If the requirements change over time, please check the Notes for the authoritative list of patches: Apply Forms patch 14615390 to EBS 11i environments (Note 125767.1) Apply Forms patch 14614795 to EBS 12.0 and 12.1 environments (Note 437878.1) These patches are compatible with JRE 6 and 7, production ready, and fully-tested with the E-Business Suite.  These patches may be applied immediately to all E-Business Suite environments. No need to worry -- it's fixed.  To recap: JRE releases 1.6.0_18 through 1.6.0_22 had issues with mismanaging session cookies that affected some users in some circumstances. The fix for those issues was first included in JRE 1.6.0_23. These fixes will carry forward and continue to be fixed in all future JRE releases on the JRE 6 and 7 codelines.  In other words, if you wish to avoid the mismanaged session cookie issue, you should apply any release after JRE 1.6.0_22 on the JRE 6 codeline, and JRE 7u10 and later JRE 7 codeline updates. All JRE 6 and 7 releases are certified with EBS upon release Our standard policy is that all E-Business Suite customers can apply all JRE updates to end-user desktops from JRE 1.6.0_03 and later updates on the 1.6 codeline, and from JRE 7u10 and later updates on the JRE 7 codeline.  We test all new JRE 1.6 and JRE 7 releases in parallel with the JRE development process, so all new JRE 1.6 and 7 releases are considered certified with the E-Business Suite on the same day that they're released by our Java team.  You do not need to wait for a certification announcement before applying new JRE 1.6 or JRE 7 releases to your EBS users' desktops. Implications of Java 6 End of Public Updates for EBS Users The Support Roadmap for Oracle Java is published here: Oracle Java SE Support Roadmap The latest updates to that page (as of Sept. 19, 2012) state (emphasis added): Java SE 6 End of Public Updates Notice After February 2013, Oracle will no longer post updates of Java SE 6 to its public download sites. Existing Java SE 6 downloads already posted as of February 2013 will remain accessible in the Java Archive on Oracle Technology Network. Developers and end-users are encouraged to update to more recent Java SE versions that remain available for public download. For enterprise customers, who need continued access to critical bug fixes and security fixes as well as general maintenance for Java SE 6 or older versions, long term support is available through Oracle Java SE Support . What does this mean for Oracle E-Business Suite users? EBS users fall under the category of "enterprise users" above.  Java is an integral part of the Oracle E-Business Suite technology stack, so EBS users will continue to receive Java SE 6 updates after February 2013. In other words, nothing will change for EBS users after February 2013.  EBS users will continue to receive critical bug fixes and security fixes as well as general maintenance for Java SE 6. These Java SE 6 updates will be made available to EBS users for the Extended Support periods documented in the Oracle Lifetime Support policy document for Oracle Applications (PDF): EBS 11i Extended Support ends November 2013 EBS 12.0 Extended Support ends January 2015 EBS 12.1 Extended Support ends December 2018 Will EBS users be forced to upgrade to JRE 7 for Windows desktop clients? No. This upgrade is highly recommended but currently remains optional. JRE 6 will be available to Windows users to run with EBS for the duration of your respective EBS Extended Support period.  Updates will be delivered via My Oracle Support, where you can continue to receive critical bug fixes and security fixes as well as general maintenance for JRE 6 desktop clients.  Coexistence of JRE 6 and JRE 7 on Windows desktops The upgrade to JRE 7 is highly recommended for EBS users, but some users may need to run both JRE 6 and 7 on their Windows desktops for reasons unrelated to the E-Business Suite. Most EBS configurations with IE and Firefox use non-static versioning by default. JRE 7 will be invoked instead of JRE 6 if both are installed on a Windows desktop. For more details, see "Appendix B: Static vs. Non-static Versioning and Set Up Options" in Notes 290801.1 and 393931.1. Applying Updates to JRE 6 and JRE 7 to Windows desktops Auto-update will keep JRE 7 up-to-date for Windows users with JRE 7 installed. Auto-update will only keep JRE 7 up-to-date for Windows users with both JRE 6 and 7 installed.  JRE 6 users are strongly encouraged to apply the latest Critical Patch Updates as soon as possible after each release. What will Mac users need? Oracle will provide updates to JRE 7 for Mac OS X users. EBS users running Macs will need to upgrade to JRE 7 to receive JRE updates. The certification of Oracle E-Business Suite with JRE 7 for Mac-based desktop clients accessing EBS Forms-based content is underway. No. This upgrade will be highly recommended but will be optional for EBS application tier servers running on Windows, Linux, and Solaris.  You can choose to remain on JDK 6 for the duration of your respective EBS Extended Support period.  If you remain on JDK 6, you will continue to receive critical bug fixes and security fixes as well as general maintenance for JDK 6. • Best Java 'framework' for LOW-END 3D Graphics?

  I've made my share of 2D games on various platforms but I have never developed a 3D game. I want to make a small "mmorpg". I already made my server in python and it works just fine with my flash 2D game but I decided I want to step it up and try out 3D. I want to make a 3D game for the web browser and I think Java might be a good choice for this. So basically I'm just looking for a straight forward and well documents 'framework' to make LOW-END 3D games. Keep in mind that I will be targeting peoples with very low-end PC's (plus my 3d modeling skills aren't great so I wouldn't mind hiding it somewhat, haha)

  I have a back-end MS Access 2002-2003 database which stores blog entries. I created a separate front-end database with the forms for entering blog posts into the backend database. Finally, I have a website utilizing ASP to display the blog entries. The website connects directly to the backend database using an OLEDB connection object. Whenever I open the form for creating a new post in MS Access, loading the blog post page on the website displays the error: Could not use "; file already in use. I would like to be able to display the older blog posts even though the newest one is in the process of being added.

• How to suppress error message details to general DNN Users

  I have a DNN site (05.02.03) in test and nearing release into production and I would like to suppress the details of error messages (i.e. Null Reference Exception, and others) to general users (admins can still see the details). Debug is off in the web.config. By suppressing, I mean the only error message I want to display to the general user (all users) is something like "An Exception has occured". I don't want the details of that exception to be displayed to the general user. I still want it logged in greater detail in the Event Viewer. How would I go about doing this? Update: I have "Use Custom Error Messages" checked. Which shows a error message like: A critical error has occurred.[vbCrLf] Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I want just the "A critical error has occured." error message to be displayed to general users. I don't want the "Object referece not set to an instance of an object." to be displayed to general users

  Hello. My application is a product which will have reporting capabilities. The product, when in production, is expected to have several ad-hoc report defined by the end users. I am looking for a platform that can be tailored to harness the business entities and extend reporting capabilities (definition & execution) to the end user. Here are some constraints: From the usability standpoint, I like what MS Access reports offer. But of course it is not suitable for the target web application. However, it certainly is a source of inspiration usability wise. Cost is a constraint. So something recommended from open source world will be appreciated. Otherwise too I'd like to know. The product in question is somewhat 'generic' in nature. Mine is a ASP.Net platform.

  I know all about this exception, read the msdn article here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312629/EN-US/ but I do not know how to handle this when my boss does not want me to throw in false for the Response.End. So what other option is there other than putting false as this param? He's stating to catch it and do something...ok do what? I don't see any other fix than to send false into this call every time because I can't get pass this exception..I get it every time.

  Given a string such as: "new/path - path/path/03 - filename.ext", how can I use NSScanner (or any other approach) to return the substring from the last "/" to the end of the string, i.e., "03 - filename.ext"? The code I've been trying to start with is: while ([fileScanner isAtEnd] == NO){ slashPresent = [fileScanner scanUpToString:@"/" intoString:NULL]; if (slashPresent == YES) { [fileScanner scanString:@"/" intoString:NULL]; lastPosition = [fileScanner scanLocation]; } NSLog(@"fileScanner position: %d", [fileScanner scanLocation]); NSLog(@"lastPosition: %d", lastPosition); } ...and this results in a seg fault after scanning to the end of the string! • VB working with SQL DB - end of row count, keeps looping

  I'm adding to a combo box an ID and a name that i'm pulling from a database. My problem is that for some reason my loop doesnt end once it reaches the end of the records in the database table. Here's my code: For intcount = 0 To dtOrders.Rows.Count - 1 cmbSearch.Items.Add(dtOrders.Rows(intcount)("EmployeeID").ToString & " " & dtOrders.Rows(intcount)("EmployeeLastName").ToString & ", " & dtOrders.Rows(intcount)("EmployeeFirstName").ToString) Next Shouldnt the .rows.count - 1 stop it once it reaches the last record? It loops 4 times through.

• Compare range of ip addresses with start and end ip address in MySQL

  I have a MySQL table where I store IP ranges. It is setup in the way that I have the start address stored as a long, and the end address (and an id and some other data). Now I have users adding ranges by inputting a start and end ip address, and I would like to check if the new range is not already (partially) in the database. I know I can do a between query, but that doesn't seem to work with 2 different columns, and I also cannot figure out how to pass a range to compare it. Doing it in a loop in PHP is a possibility, but would with a range of e.g. 132.0.0.0-199.0.0.0 be quite a big amount of queries..

• Magento images not showing on front end

  I'm using Magento 1.4. I have two website set up. If I upload images to Website A, they appear fine on both front and back end. If I upload or import images to Website B, they do not appear on the front end, only the backend. I'm completely stuck.   Hi, I have a table with users and are trying to get a list with the people who have birthday today so the app can send an email. Using MySQL there's functions I can use like select month(curdate()) as month, dayofmonth(curdate()) as day However I've been struggling to find a JPA equivalent to that. I'm using Spring 3.0.1 and Hibernate 3.3.2
