  Excuse me if this has indeed been asked before, I couldn't see anything that fitted my needs out of the dozens of similar titled posts out there ;) I'm trying to merge 2 php arrays which aren't of the same length, and merge them on a value that exists from identical key = values within both arrays. My first query produces an array from a nested set: array ( 1 => array ( 'node_id' => 1, 'lft' => 1, 'rgt' => 4, 'moved' => 0, 'label' => 'Home', 'entry_id' => 1, 'template_path' => '', 'custom_url' => '/', 'extra' => '', 'childs' => 1, 'level' => 0, 'lower' => 0, 'upper' => 0 ), 2 => array ( 'node_id' => 2, 'lft' => 2, 'rgt' => 3, 'moved' => 0, 'label' => 'Home', 'entry_id' => NULL, 'template_path' => '', 'custom_url' => 'http://google.com/', 'extra' => '', 'childs' => 0, 'level' => 1, 'lower' => 0, 'upper' => 0 ) ); My second array returns some additional key/values I'd like to insert to the above array: array ( 'entry_id' => 1, 'entry_title' => 'This is my title', ); I want to merge both of the arrays inserting the additional information into those that match on the key 'entry_id', as well as keeping the sub arrays which don't match. • wcf - maximum array length quota

  Im writing a small wcf/wpf app to resize images but wcf is giving me grief when I try to send an image of size 28K to my service from the client. The service works fine when I send it smaller images. I immediately assumed that this was a configuration issue and I've trawled the web looking at posts regarding the MaxArrayLength property in my binding configuration. Ive upped the limits on these settings on both the client and server to the maximum 2147483647 but still I get the following error: {"The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter http://mywebsite.com/services/servicecontracts/2009/01:OriginalImage. The InnerException message was 'There was an error deserializing the object of type System.Drawing.Image. The maximum array length quota (16384) has been exceeded while reading XML data. • Adding new record to a VFP data table in VB.NET with ADO recordsets

  I am trying to add a new record to a Visual FoxPro data table using an ADO dataset with no luck. The code runs fine with no exceptions but when I check the dbf after the fact there is no new record. The mDataPath variable shown in the code snippet is the path to the .dbc file for the entire database. A note about the For loop at the bottom; I am adding the body of incoming emails to this MEMO field so thought I needed to break the addition of this string into 256 character Chunks.   hello everybody i'm some newbie in this matter of .net i'm trying understand this new paradigm i began with linq for SQl but i found this library, kind of framework of T4 more specifically: subsonic T4 i think it could be very usefull but the support docs outside are very scarce my first intention is use them in the very simple form: a catalog lets say... Users so... how can i use the model generated with subsonic ( using the iactiverecord) to implement the record-navigational part.,...???!!! i mean i want a simple form to create, delete or modify records and that is fairy easy but what about to move among records ? i found how to get the first, the last record.. but how can i advance or go back among them??? how can i order the records..? it seems everytime imust query the table.. its so? but how can imove among the records i already got? all of the exmples found are very simple dont touch the matter and/ or are repetitive everywhere so.. please if anybody can help me or give more references... i'd thank you a lot gmo camilo

• Ability to draw and record a signature as part of a form - iphone

  Apolgies in advance for any errors.. new to this and am not a developer/programmer.. just have some basic unix experience. I have searched the web and struggled to find a solution to my problem when I stumbled onto this website which maybe suggested that there is a solution to my question. For work i use a windows mobile device because we have to get customers to sign and form after a customer visit. the signature being very important. On the windows device i use the notes application and am able to record details and obtain/record (using draw) a customer signature. the form is then emailed back to HQ. The format being used is a *.pwi I have downloaded and paid for several applications for my iphone which is my preferred device and cant quite find anything that does both. the critical bit here is to be able to take a signature on the phone, save the doc in a format such as .txt, .doc or .pdf where i can control the file name then be able to email back to HQ. Am i asking too much? I hope that makes sense.. Any help would be much appreciated many thanks in advance

  In linking a sports event to two teams, at first this seemed to make sense: events - id:integer - integer:home_team_id - integer:away_team_id teams - integer:id - string:name However I am troubled by how I would link that up in the active record model: class Event belongs_to :home_team, :class_name => 'Team', :foreign_key => "home_team_id" belongs_to :away_team, :class_name => 'Team', :foreign_key => "away_team_id" end Is that the best solution? In an answer to a similar question I was pointed to single table inheritance, and then later found polymorphic associations. Neither of which seemed to fit this association. Perhaps I am looking at this wrong, but I see no need to subclass a team into home and away teams since the distinction is only in where the game is played. • Displaying tree path of record in SQL Server 2005

  An example of my tree table is: ([id] is an identity) [id], [parent_id], [path] 1, NULL, 1 2, 1, 1-2 3, 1, 1-3 4, 3, 1-3-4 My goal is to query quickly for multiple rows of this table and view the full path of the node from its root, through its superiors, down to itself. The ultimate question is, should I generate this path on inserts and maintain it in its own column or generate this path on query to save disk space? I guess it depends if this table is write heavy or read heavy. I've been contemplating several approaches to using the "path" characteristic of this parent/child relationship and I just can't seem to settle on one. This "path" is simply for display purposes and serves absolutely no purpose other than that. Here is what I have done to implement this "path." AFTER INSERT TRIGGER - requires passing a NULL path to the insert and updating the path for the record at the inserted rows identity INSTEAD OF INSERT TRIGGER - does not require insert to have NULL path passed, but does require the trigger to insert with a NULL path and updating the path for the record at SCOPE_IDENTITY() STORED PROCEDURE - requiring all inserts into this table to be done through the stored procedure implementing the trigger logic VIEW - requires building the path in the view 1 and 2 seem annoying if massive amounts of data are entered at once. 3 seems annoying because all inserts must go through the procedure in order to have a valid path populated. 1, 2, and 3 require maintaining a path column on the table. 4 removes all the limitations of the above but require the view to perform the path logic and requires use of the view if a path is to be displayed. I have successfully implemented all of the above approaches and I'm mainly looking for some advice. Am I way off the mark here or are any of the above acceptable? Each has it's advantages and disadvantages.

Running query but returns 33 records instead of 3.   I'm trying to find a better way to get the next or previous record from a table. Let's say I have a blog or news table: CREATE TABLE news ( news_id INT UNSIGNED NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY AUTO_INCREMENT, news_datestamp DATETIME NOT NULL, news_author VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL, news_title VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL, news_text MEDIUMTEXT NOT NULL ); Now on the frontend I want navigation buttons for the next or previous records, if i'm sorting by news_id, I can do something rather simple like: SELECT MIN(news_id) AS next_news_id FROM news WHERE news_id > '$old_news_id' LIMIT 1 SELECT MAX(news_id) AS prev_news_id FROM news WHERE news_id < '$old_news_id' LIMIT 1 But the news can be sorted by any field, and I don't necessarily know which field is sorted on, so this won't work if the user sorts on news_author for example. (That's the workaround I'm using now.)

  Active record is a neet concept but sometimes I find it difficult to get more complicated queries to work. I find this is at least one place the CI docs are lacking. Anyway, This is the sql I wrote.   hi every one, i am facing a big problem right now. I have a html table in each row i have a button called edit allowing user to relod the form with parameter that he has selected. for this i define a hidden type to get the id of the record in database to access to various colonne and to refresh the form with those parameters. My challenge now is how to get the right id in every click on the edit button to let me after to get the right record and to update it in the data base. As for me, my experience parallels Brent’s and I historically have leaned toward the Time & Materials model.

• OpenStack: How to make Cloudify use the floating IP instead of the fixed one?

  I have a problem with Cloudify (both 2.5 and 2.6-rc release). I have an All-In-One Openstack 2013.1.1 setup and I'm trying to use Cloudify to bootstrap a cirros 0.3.1 vm. My quantum configuration is: pool of fixed ip (10.0.0.0/24) for vm management; pool of floating ip (192.168.1.170-190) taken from 192.168.1.1/24 (my lan) When I deploy a vm first, an ip from 10.0.0.0/24 is given (I cannot reach it from my PCs because it is only for vm management) and then I associate a floating ip with which I can ping (and ssh) the deployed machine. The problem is when I do: bootstrap-cloud openstack because Cloudify stay forever into "attempting to access management vm 10.0.0.3" and this is due to the fact that 10.0.0.3 is not reachable. What can I do to get Cloudify take the floating ip instead of the fixed one?

  I've been working for a contractor who brings in some good projects, but they are all fixed-price and often fixed-time. As a result he always has me making a quote over loose requirements, which never fails to bring a lot of tension due to feature creep. He claims he'd never get a contract if he couldn't agree on a price with his clients first, but as far as I'm concerned I don't wanna go through another project under these terms. Is there any argument I could make to have him pay me by the hour, or should I just suck less at estimating ?

  I have bought a domain from 123-reg.co.uk and have successfully pointed it to the IP Address of my Linode VPS so that going to the domain serves up the pages from the Apache server running on the VPS. The instructions I followed to do this are : Now, I am trying to get the domain's mail handled by Google Apps for Business. I have tried updating the MX records at Linode following this tutorial : http://library.linode.com/email/google-mail And also followed the instructions to update the MX Records in 123-reg's control panel : I am slightly confused now. Where should I be adding the MX records? In my domain registrar's control panel or in Linode's VPS? Both have options to update the MX records.

• does ping command to a dns name uses DNS PTR type messages?

  Okay I cant understand this, when I try to ping to a machine on my network using the name associated I get a response from that machine, thats normal.. But there are messages that the sender sends to the top machine (SOA) that I dont understand.. First he sends a type A and gets a response with the IP associated to the name used on the ping command, but after that.. the sender only sends (before each ping) messages of type PTR to the (SOA) Saying this: Standar query 0xf66c PTR 12.45.168.192.in-addr.arpa and SOA respond with: Standard query response 0xf66c No such name And before each ping they do this, I dont know why... I notice this using wireshark, thanks alot again for accept me here, being able to get some answer :)

• Linux, some packets are not being NAT

  Hi, I'm trying to NAT HTTP traffic, I'm new to this and facing some issues. What i'm trying to do is NAT client HTTP requests to a webserver. CLIENT - NAT BOX - WEBSERVER When the client open the IP of the NAT BOX, the request should be pass to the web server. But I'm getting "HTTP request sent, awaiting response..." and then wait serveral minutes before the request is done. Looking at the tcpdump output, it looks like the first Syn packet on (10:48:54) is being NAT but not the second, third, fourth... ACK or PSH packets, and wait until (10:52:04) it starts NAT again on the ACK packet. The iptables command I'm using is: iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp -i eth0 --dport 80 \ -j DNAT --to-destination WEBSERVER I'm wondering what could have caused this behavior?
