  I would like to write a powershell script that gets the following parameters as input: Folder to copy from, extensions allows, folder to copy to and a boolean indicating if the change should restart IIS, username and password. What cmdlets should I be looking at considering that I am copying to a remote server? How do I read the parameters into variables? How do I restart IIS? Cosidering that I might want to copy multiple folders, how do I write a powershell script that invokes a powershell script?

• Create Outlook 2007 Search Folder for people outside of my organization

  I'd like to create a Search Folder in Outlook that only contains mails from people outside of my company. It's a Mailbox on an Exchange server, and my naive approach was "'From' 'doesn't contain' '@mycompany.com'", but that doesn't work, it looks like it's only matching the Display Name. Is there a way to filter this to only have external mail shown in a Search Folder?

• User not able to change permissions on folder in network share for Windows Server 2003

  I have a user that has rights to change permissions within a certain folder on a Windows Server 2003 network share. Although I grant this person the rights to change permission and ownership this person cannot change any permissions. The network share is also set to allow everyone full control. (I understand it is bad practice yet this is how it was first configured) Is there any reason why this domain user cannot modify permissions on the folder and files they create?

• DFS - Stop sync of large folder that has since been removed

  We have a site to site DFSR on Windows Server 2008 R2 that has been running perfectly between site A to site B until someone dumped a 20GB folder. This has overwhelmed the upload and make the internet almost useless at site A (the upload is low at the branch office). We have removed this folder from the DFS share on site A, however the internet is still really slow. Is there any way to cancel this sync or other way to get DFSR back in to a happy state?

  In XP, to ensure a folder opened in a new window, I held down CTRL when I opened (by mouse or keyboard) the folder. This action is so ingrained to me, I pretty much don't even realise I'm doing it at a conscious level. Unfortunately, this action apparently hasn't made it to Vista. Is there a new way to do this, or am I just missing something obvious?

  I'm doing the following to mount a remote server to a specific path on my server: sshfs [email protected]:/backup/folder/ /home/myuser/server-backups/ However when I mount the server the folder permissions change (they become 700), and when I test my rsnapshot.conf file I get the following error: snapshot_root /home/myuser/server-backups/ - snapshot_root exists \ but is not readable What am I doing wrong ? should I mount the remote server with another user ?

  We have several users using a shared account and when messages in that account's in box have been processed they are drag and dropped into a public folder. Is there a way to determine who dropped a mail item in an Exchange 2003 public folder, so that we can have some accountability? I suspect this can't be done natively in Exchange, so if there is a scripted solution to this I'd be very interested.

I'm using the options: sudo mount -t vboxsf -o uid=1000,gid=100 pg ~/pg-host The folder mounts fine, however it appears that the mounted directory is case-insensitive, even though my OSX drive is formatted case-sensitive. Are there any options to control this behavior ?

Been trying all variety of .bak, BAK, .*., and editing the path, but the files are still not getting removed even though I receive a "job succeeded" log message.   I've seen many questions about how to run multiple sql servers on one server, but I would like to run mysqld as a user-level process and completely self contained in a folder (I have no permissions outside my user folder).   I am very confused the View and corresponding controller has to be set in MVC 1.0 project structure. Currently in a default application we have About.aspx page under Home folder and all the controller action is handled in HomeController. This controller mixes up Home action and About action. It makes things messy. I like to have clear separation of my controller. Like to have one About Controller and HomeCotroller separately. For it I have create another folder "About" under view folder and place Aboput.aspx in it , otherwise we will get the error below. How can I achieve it ?? I like to have exact folder structure as in View, same as in Cotroller. The view 'About' or its master could not be found. The following locations were searched: ~/Views/About/About.aspx ~/Views/About/About.ascx ~/Views/Shared/About.aspx ~/Views/Shared/About.ascx Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request.   Hi, I have a directory structure of directories and files that I want to render as a tableview in an iphone app. I'd rather have this generated dynamically rather than have to maintain a XML PLIST or whatever. i.e. replicate the Explorer functionality in windows where a user can traverse the structure and then select bundled image files for viewing. Is there any way to do this? Any advice would be appreicated.
