  • Spring Roo from WSDL?

    - by Tom O'Brien
    Hi folks, Spring Roo + GWT is very exciting but I'd like to use an existing Web Service as a backend so I was wondering if there is any way to configure Roo to use a WSDL as the starting point rather than the entity description (and have it wire in the Jax-WS calls to the service). Thanks!

  • How do I apply a servlet filter when serving an HTML page directly?

    - by Philippe Beaudoin
    First off, I'm using Google AppEngine and Guice, but I suspect my problem is not related to these. When the user connect to my (GWT) webapp, the URL is a direct html page. For example, in development mode, it is: http://127.0.0.1:8888/Puzzlebazar.html?gwt.codesvr=127.0.0.1:9997. Now, I setup my web.xml in the following way: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <web-app xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd" version="2.5"> <display-name>PuzzleBazar</display-name> <!-- Default page to serve --> <welcome-file-list> <welcome-file>Puzzlebazar.html</welcome-file> </welcome-file-list> <filter> <filter-name>guiceFilter</filter-name> <filter-class>com.google.inject.servlet.GuiceFilter</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>guiceFilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> <!-- This Guice listener hijacks all further filters and servlets. Extra filters and servlets have to be configured in your ServletModule#configureServlets() by calling serve(String).with(Class<? extends HttpServlet>) and filter(String).through(Class<? extends Filter) --> <listener> <listener-class>com.puzzlebazar.server.guice.MyGuiceServletContextListener </listener-class> </listener> </web-app> Since I'm using Guice, I have to configure extra filters in my ServletModule, where I do this: filter("*.html").through( SecurityCookieFilter.class ); But my SecurityCookieFilter.doFilter is never called. I tried things like "*.html*" or <url-pattern>*</url-pattern> but to no avail. Any idea how I should do this?

  • Can search engines index JavaScript generated web pages?

    - by Roy
    Can search engines such as Google index JavaScript generated web pages? When you right click and select view source in a page that is generated by JavaScript (e.g using GWT) you do not see the dynamically generated HTML. I suppose that if a search engine also cannot see the generated HTML then there is not much to index, right?

  • Prevent Cross-site request forgery - Never Rely on The SessionID Sent to Your Server in The Cookie H

    - by Yan Cheng CHEOK
    I am reading the tutorial at http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit-incubator/wiki/LoginSecurityFAQ It states Remember - you must never rely on the sessionID sent to your server in the cookie header ; look only at the sessionID that your GWT app sends explicitly in the payload of messages to your server. Is it use to prevent http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-site_request_forgery#Example_and_characteristics With this mythology, is it sufficient enough to prevent to above attack?

  • Substitute for Iterator that is Serialization

    - by Mahmoud
    I'm working on a GWT project, and I have a bunch of Java classes that use Java Object Iterators on the server side. As I was reading through the internet...Iterators seem to not be serializable preventing me from sending them over to the client side from the server side. My question is is there an efficient way to serialize the iterator or use a substitute that might be serializable ? Many thanks!

  • Customized combobox text in HTML / JavaScript

    - by rybz
    Hi, I wonder if it is possible to create combo box as in the picture below. The aim is that the actual text of the combo (select in HTML) would be different that items' texts that are displayed while the combo is opened. The application is written using Google Web Toolkit so any solution in gwt or HTML/JavaScript would be great. Thanks for any hints.

  • Where to go from PHP?

    - by dabito
    I'm a seasoned PHP programmer and I really like the way it works and find it very fun to work with (performance could be improved and some functions renamed, but nothing too serious). However, I took a java seminar and now Im very interested in using GWT for upcomming projects, although I think the learning curve can be steep. Should I really go through with this change (PHP JAVA)? Where to begin?

  • Url mapping with my servlet?

    - by user291701
    Hi, I'm using GWT with GAE. When the user enters any of the following urls, I want to just serve my app as usual to them: http://www.mysite.com/ http://www.mysite.com/dog http://www.mysite.com/cat the first case works by default. I'm not sure how to get the /dog and /cat cases to work. I think I have to modify something with the url mappings to get that to work in web.xml. Essentially I'm trying to just get my app served with any url entered: http://www.mysite.com/* Thanks

  • Set Controls with arbitrary positions on CTabItem

    - by Daziplqa
    Hi Guyz, I am new to GWT, and I need to set the controls positions arbitrary on CTabItem. I've used the following code, but it seems that it had no positioning effect, it just add the component to (0, 0) Label userName = new Label(folder, SWT.NONE); userName.setText("username"); userName.setBounds(10, 200, 200, 50); item.setControl(userName);

  • Portable C Compiler (pcc) with GTK+ in Code::Blocks

    - by CMPITG
    I had some problems when trying to compile a GTK+ program with Portable C Compiler (pcc) using Code::Blocks in Windows. When I tried to build the default GTK+ project in Code::Blocks, I get these errors: -------------- Build: Debug in cb-temp2 --------------- Compiling: main.c C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 423: parameter 'glib_major_version' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 424: function declaration in bad context C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 424: parameter '__declspec' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 424: parse error C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 425: redeclaration of __declspec C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 425: parameter 'glib_micro_version' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 426: function declaration in bad context C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 426: parameter '__declspec' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 426: parse error C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 427: redeclaration of __declspec C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 427: parameter 'glib_binary_age' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gutils.h, line 431: parameter 'glib_check_version' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gatomic.h, line 42: parameter 'g_atomic_int_exchange_and_add' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gatomic.h, line 44: parameter 'g_atomic_int_add' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gatomic.h, line 47: parameter 'g_atomic_int_compare_and_exchange' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gatomic.h, line 50: parameter 'g_atomic_pointer_compare_and_exchange' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gatomic.h, line 52: parameter 'g_atomic_int_get' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gatomic.h, line 54: parameter 'g_atomic_int_set' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gatomic.h, line 55: parameter 'g_atomic_pointer_get' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gatomic.h, line 57: parameter 'g_atomic_pointer_set' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 44: parameter 'g_thread_error_quark' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 50: parameter 'GThreadError' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 52: parameter 'GThreadFunc' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 60: parameter 'GThreadPriority' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 62: parameter 'GThread' not defined C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 66: parse error C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 66: invalid function definition C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 66: function illegal in structure or union C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 66: invalid function definition C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 66: function illegal in structure or union C:\CMPITG\gtk\include\glib-2.0/glib/gthread.h, line 67: cannot recover from earlier errors: goodbye! - by Ted
    Google just released Closure, which is a compiler to minify JavaScript. On the product site, it says "The Closure Compiler has also been integrated with Page Speed". • Avoid compiling when using Decimal.Round() method (C#/CF)

    - by Christian Almeida
    Is there a way to tell to VS2005 to get compiler error when using "some defined" method? It probably sounds strange, but I do not want to compile when using Decimal.Round(). Reason: CF does not round by "awayfromzero", so I created a method to do this job. But sometimes I (and team) forget that is not to use Decimal.Round. So I'd like to get a compiler error when using it.
