  • How to connect remote EJB module from application client

    Hi guys, I have a EJB module in remote Glassfish server and application client in my computer. I want to connect from the application client to the remote EJB. Here is the my EJB interface: @Remote public interface BookEJBRemote { public String getTitle(); } Here is the my ejb: @Stateless public class BookEJB implements BookEJBRemote { @Override public String getTitle() { return "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea"; } } I have several questions : Can I use Dependency Injection in the remote application client to connect to the ejb? If so what can i do to achieve this. Do i need to configure in the sun-ejb-jar.xml and sun-application-client.xml? In other words, if i use DI like @EJB MyEJBRemote ejb; How application client container know what ejb to be injected? Where should i specify the information? How can i run the application client? I tried to run package-appclient in the glassfish server to get appclient.jar and copy it to my computer. Then i type appclient.jar -client myAppClient.jar . It didn't work. How do i point the target server? if i cannot use DI in the client then i guess i have to use JNDI lookup. Do i need to configure jndi name in sun-ejb-jar.xml or in the sun-application-client.xml? No matter how i try i never manage to run application client ? Can you guys put some working example? And thank you for every advises and examples?

Barring that, I'd like to put a constant jlabel for the units (uneditable) to the right of the text field. Anyone know how to do this?

    I create an Enterprise Application CustomerApp that also generated two projects CustomerApp-ejb and CustomerApp-war. In the CustomerApp-ejb, I create a SessionBean call CustomerSessionBean.java as below. package com.customerapp.ejb; import javax.ejb.Stateless; import javax.ejb.LocalBean; import javax.persistence.EntityManager; import javax.persistence.PersistenceContext; @Stateless @LocalBean public class CustomerSessionBean { @PersistenceContext(unitName = "CustomerApp-ejbPU") private EntityManager em; public void persist(Object object) { em.persist(object); } } Now I can deploy CustomerApp-war just fine. But as soon as I create a Message Driven Bean, I cant deploy CustomerApp-war anymore. When I create NotificationBean.java (message driven bean), In the project destination option, I click add, and have NotificationQueue for the Destination Name and Destination Type is Queue. Below are the code package com.customerapp.mdb; import javax.ejb.ActivationConfigProperty; import javax.ejb.MessageDriven; import javax.jms.Message; import javax.jms.MessageListener; @MessageDriven(mappedName = "jms/NotificationQueue", activationConfig = { @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "acknowledgeMode", propertyValue = "Auto-acknowledge"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue") }) public class NotificationBean implements MessageListener { public NotificationBean() { } public void onMessage(Message message) { } } If I remove the @MessageDriven annotation, then I can deploy the project.   • Way to check files in and out with multiple developers.

    I am a web developer working with 2-3 people including me. Our current setup is very simplistic. We try to let each other know when we are working on a specific file. We use FTP to edit our files. Recently we have run into the problem of 2 people accidentally editing one file, or working on a local file then uploading when another person just did the same. From what I have read I need some sort of control system. I have heard of subversion and mercurial. It seems that these systems may not be what I need though, since its just giving me different versions of the files. I don't know if it solves the issue of two people working on a file and overwriting each others work. What are your suggestions for solving my problem?

  • A lock could not obtained within the time requested issue

    The title is the error I'm getting, when I click load my program freezes. I assume its because I'm doing a statement inside a statement, but from what I see its the only solution to my issue. By loading I want to just repopulate the list of patients, but to do so I need to do their conditions also. The code works, the bottom method is what I'm trying to fix.     Hello. I call addNotify() method in class that I posted here. The problem is, that when I call addNotify() as it is in the code, setKeys(objs) do nothing. Nothing appears in my explorer of running app. But when I call addNotify()without loop(for int....), and add only one item to ArrayList, it shows that one item correctly. Does anybody knows where can be problem? However, when I right click on the project node and select Test RESTful Web Service, the browser pop up, and supposedly my project would be listed on the left, and supposedly I would be able to select it, and test against various function that listed on the right.     It was my first time to use Java EE and I am having an error everytime I run my html file. This is the error I am seeing: In-place deployment at C:\Documents and Settings\scybermonde\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Exercises\build\web deploy?path=C:\Documents and Settings\scybermonde\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Exercises\build\web&name=Exercises&force=true failed on GlassFish Server 3 C:\Documents and Settings\scybermonde\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\Exercises\nbproject\build-impl.xml:683: The module has not been deployed. BUILD FAILED (total time: 1 second) What was wrong if I am receiving an error like this? I also tried to deployed it referring to what it said in the later part "The module has not been deployed" but still the same error appears... please help... thanks in advance :)
