TypeError: Error #1009 - (Null reference error) With Flash.

I am not an expert in flash, but i do work with AS and tweak Flash projects , though not having deep expertise in it. Currently i need to revamp a flash website done by one another guy, and the code base given to me, upon execution is throwing the following error. "--- TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at NewSite_fla::MainTimeline/__setProp_ContactOutP1_ContactOut_Contents_0() at NewSite_fla::MainTimeline/frame1() --" The structure of the project is like, it has the different sections split into different movie clips. There is no single main timeline, but click actions on different areas of seperate movie clips will take them between one another. All the AS logic of event handling are written inline in FLA , no seperate Document class exists. Preloader Movie clip is the first one getting loaded. As i understood the error is getting thrown initially itself, and it is not happening due to any Action script logic written inline, because it is throwing error even before hitting the first inline AS code. I am not able to figure Out what exactly it causing the problem, or where to resolve it. I really got stuck at this point. Any help will be great.I had not seen the particular solution i am looking for anywhere yet, though Error #1009 is common. I uploaded the fla, here ( http://tinyurl.com/249e95p ), for reference.It may not be working , since the included/refered video files and all are not there, but reviwing the action code/movie clips will be possible. Please let me know if somebody will be able to trace the issue exactly.

entity framework - getting null exception using foreign key

Having some trouble with what should be a very simple scenario. For example purposes, I have two tables: -Users -Comments There is a one-to-many relationship set up for this; there is a foreign key from Comments.CommentorID to Users.UserID. When I do the LINQ query and try to bind to a DataList, I get a null exception. Here is the code: FKMModel.FKMEntities ctx = new FKMModel.FKMEntities(); IQueryable<Comment> CommentQuery = from x in ctx.Comment where x.SiteID == 101 select x; List<Comment> Comments = CommentQuery.ToList(); dl_MajorComments.DataSource = Comments; dl_MajorComments.DataBind(); In the ASPX page, I have the following as an ItemTemplate (I simplified it and took out the styling, etc, for purposes of posting here since it's irrelevant): <div> <%# ((FKMModel.Comment)Container.DataItem).FKMUser.Username %> <%# ((FKMModel.Comment)Container.DataItem).CommentDate.Value.ToShortDateString() %> <%# ((FKMModel.Comment)Container.DataItem).CommentTime %> </div> The exception occurs on the first binding (FKMUser.Username). Since the foreign key is set up, I should have no problem accessing any properties from the Users table. Problem with a NSString that equals to (null)

Hi, I have an UIViewController named MainViewController I have another UIViewController named LeftSharingViewController; I would like to get and use the NSString from MainViewController in my LeftSharingViewController I have a problem, I always get (null) instead of the NSString wanted value. Why is my searchable activity's Intent.getAction() null?

I've followed the SearchManager documentation yet am still having trouble making one of my app's activities searchable. The "NI" lines are getIntent().toString(), getIntent().getAction(), and getIntent().hasExtra(SearchManager.QUERY) respectively. ActivityManager appears to be starting my activity with the correct action. Then when my activity starts, it contains no action!? What am I doing wrong? SQL: How can i update a value on a column only if that value is null?

Hey, I have an SQL question which may be basic to some but is confusing me. Here is an example of column names for a table 'Person': PersonalID, FirstName, LastName, Car, HairColour, FavDrink, FavFood Let's say that I input the row: 121312, Rayna, Pieterson, BMW123d, Brown, NULL, NULL Now I want to update the values for this person, but only if the new value is not null, Update: 121312, Rayna, Pieterson, NULL, Blonde, Fanta, NULL The new row needs to be: 121312, Rayna, Pieterson, BMW123d, Blonde, Fanta, NULL So I was thinking something along the lines of: Update Person(PersonalID, FirstName, LastName, Car, HairColour, FavDrink, FavFood) set Car = @Car (where @Car is not null), HairColour = @HairColour (where @HairColour...)... etc. My only concern is that I can't group all the conditions at the end of the query because it will require all the values to have the same condition. Can't i do something like Update HairColour if @HairColour is not Null

Exception calling UpdateModel - Value cannot be null or empty

This is probably something silly I'm missing but I'm definitely lost. I'm using .NET 4 RC and VS 2010. This is also my first attempt to use UpdateModel in .NET 4, but every time I call it, I get an exception saying Value cannont be null or empty. I've got a simple ViewModel called LogOnModel: [MetadataType(typeof(LogOnModelMD))] public class LogOnModel { public string Username { get; set; } public string Password { get; set; } public class LogOnModelMD { [StringLength(3), Required] public object Username { get; set; } [StringLength(3), Required] public object Password { get; set; } } } My view uses the new strongly typed helpers in MVC2 to generate a textbox for username and one for the password. When I look at FormCollection in my controller method, I see values for both coming through. And last but not least, here's are post controller methods: // POST: /LogOn/ [HttpPost] public ActionResult Index(FormCollection form) { var lm = new LogOnModel(); UpdateModel(lm, form); var aservice = new AuthenticationService(); if (!aservice.AuthenticateLocal(lm.Username, lm.Password)) { ModelState.AddModelError("User", "The username or password submitted is invalid, please try again."); return View(lm); } return Redirect("~/Home"); } Can someone please lend some insight into why UpdateModel would be throwing this exception? targeting sprites from a method in the document class - null object reference

Hi I am trying to code a flash app entirely in the document class. I am using GestureWorks with a touch screen. When a user essentially presses a button it calls a method that should hide a specific graphic but not the graphic they touched. PHP: json_decode dumping NULL, BOM not found

I've been trying to find out why this 'json_encode'd string isn't parsing out correctly, and came across previously answered questions that had the UTF BOM sequence that was throwing the error, but didn't help me here. Debugging Post Request with Chrome Dev Tools

I am trying to use Chrome Dev for debugging the following Angular post request : $http.post("http://picjboss.puma.lan:8880/fluxpousse/api/flow/createOrUpdateHeader", flowHeader) After running the statement with right-click / evaluate, I can see the post in the network panel with a pending state. How can I get the result or "commit" the request and leave easily this "pending" state from the dev console ? I am not yet very familiar with JS callbacks, some code is expected. Thanks. jquery getjson works fine in mac, and fails in windows

querying huge database table takes too much of time in mysql

JPA returning null for deleted items from a set

This may be related to my question from a few days ago, but I'm not even sure how to explain this part. (It's an entirely different parent-child relationship.) In my interface, I have a set of attributes (Attribute) and valid values (ValidValue) for each one in a one-to-many relationship. In the Spring MVC frontend, I have a page for an administrator to edit these values. Once it's submitted, if any of these fields (as <input> tags) are blank, I remove the ValidValue object like so: Set<ValidValue> existingValues = new HashSet<ValidValue>(attribute.getValidValues()); Set<ValidValue> finalValues = new HashSet<ValidValue>(); for(ValidValue validValue : attribute.getValidValues()) { if(!validValue.getValue().isEmpty()) { finalValues.add(validValue); } } existingValues.removeAll(finalValues); for(ValidValue removedValue : existingValues) { getApplicationDataService().removeValidValue(removedValue); } attribute.setValidValues(finalValues); getApplicationDataService().modifyAttribute(attribute); The problem is that while the database is updated appropriately, the next time I query for the Attribute objects, they're returned with an extra entry in their ValidValue set -- a null, and thus, the next time I iterate through the values to display, it shows an extra blank value in the middle. I've confirmed that this happens at the point of a merge or find, at the point of "Execute query ReadObjectQuery(entity.Attribute). Query returning related assets

I have 2 tables, one is an assets table which holds digital assets (e.g. article, images etc), the 2nd table is an asset_links table which maps 1-1 relationships between assets contained within the assets table. My jQuery/Javascript knowledge is limited I'm afraid. I have a "how did you hear about us" dropdown on a form. Circumvent c++ null-terminated string frustration

I'm using boost::program_options and it suffers from the same as many other c++ libs, even std itself: It still uses C-style null-terminated strings, because nobody really likes the weak std::string. The method in question is: options_description_easy_init& operator()(const char* name, const value_semantic* s, const char* description); The typical use case is just fine: options.add_options() ("graphical", bool_switch(&isGraphical)->default_value(false), "Show any graphical output during runtime") However, I need the name of the option to be set dynamically. The reason is that in some cases I nead a custom prefix, which is added to the string by my function std::string key(const std::string& k): options.add_options() (key("graphical"), bool_switch(&isGraphical)->default_value(false), "Show any graphical output during runtime") This fails. I could now use c_str() on the std::string but that's evil -- I don't know how long program_options keeps the variable around and if my string is still alive when needed. I could also reserve memory in a buffer etc. and hand in that. The buffer is never freed and it sucks/is evil. Is there anything else I can do to circumvent the C-style string mess in this situation?

document.getElementById returns null for my drop-down select menu

I am trying to create a drop-down select menu with custom css (similar to the drop-down selection of language at http://translate.google.com/#). Though if I use the code with a div element that does not contain a select list the document.getElementById(id) returns proper div value. How do I fix this? or is there a better way to create drop-down select menu like http://translate.google.com ?

.Net in HTML tp return true if reader object not null, otherwise return false

I'm using a DataList to show some data from the database and populating the fields on the html side. I now have a requirement to change the visibility of a panel based on whether or not a db field has data or not. I need to be able to show the panel if the relevant data field has content, and hide it if it doesn't. Eg: <asp:Panel ID="pnlNew" runat="server" Style="margin:0; padding:0; width:42px; height:18px; bottom:5px; right:10px; float:right; position:relative; background:url(../_imgVideoBadge.png) no-repeat;" Visible='<%# Eval("cheese") != null %>' ToolTip="available"></asp:Panel> Obviously this doesn't work in terms of the visible property. But hopefully it gives an idea of what I'm trying to achieve. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've seen examples previously of doing something along the lines of: a ?? b:c How could this be applied to the above requirement?? Thanks in advance.

Fluent NHibernate - Set reference key columns to null

Hi, I have a table of Appointments and a table of AppointmentOutcomes. On my Appointments table I have an OutcomeID field which has a foreign key to AppointmentOutcomes. My Fluent NHibernate mappings look as follows; Table("Appointments"); Not.LazyLoad(); Id(c => c.ID).GeneratedBy.Assigned(); Map(c => c.Subject); Map(c => c.StartTime); References(c => c.Outcome, "OutcomeID"); Table("AppointmentOutcomes"); Not.LazyLoad(); Id(c => c.ID).GeneratedBy.Assigned(); Map(c => c.Description); Using NHibernate, if I delete an AppointmentOutcome an exception is thrown because the foreign key is invalid. What I would like to happen is that deleting an AppointmentOutcome would automatically set the OutcomeID of any Appointments that reference the AppointmentOutcome to NULL. Is this possible using Fluent NHibernate?
