    Is there a way to have models for each module? I have 3 modules, one is a "contacts" module.   • How to check what goes wrong in $view->render with Zend Framework?

    Hi, I'm working on a CMS with Widgets. On my localhost the followong code works perfect, but I have no idea what I'm doing wrong ... The neede files exist, I think and I get no error message. As far as I can see, the error occurs in the one before last line of code and I get no error message. $view = new Zend_View(); $view->setScriptPath(APPLICATION_PATH . '/../public/websites/' . My_Cookie::get('alpha_key') .   • Zend Framework: how to remove rendered views in the controller?

    i want to render one of these sets of views: head body-$id1 foot OR head body-$id2 foot which set exsists. i do it like this: try { $this->render("head"); $this->render("body-$id1"); $this->render("foot"); } catch (Exception $e) { $this->render("head"); $this->render("body-$id2"); $this->render("foot"); } but it causes the head view be rendered twice if body-$id1 does not exists. do you have a better solution? in another saying, may i check the existance of body-$id1 before rendering it?

  • Zend Framework-where do calls to my methods go? Controller of Model?

    Hi guys, I'm confused about exactly what I should have in my controller and what in my method. Specifically, I have this in the action method: public function upcomingshowsAction() { $gcal = $this->_validateCalendarConnection(); $uncleanedFeedArray = $this->_getCalendarFeed($gcal); $finishedFeedArray = $this->_cleanFeed($uncleanedFeedArray); $this->view->googleArray = $finishedFeedArray; } And then (incorrectly I know), I have my methods still in the bottom of my controller. So what I'm wondering, is for those methods in the upcomingshowsAction method, should all the actual methods just be in one model and then I'd have something like this: public function upcomingshowsAction() { $finishedFeedArray = new Application_Model_calendarModelPage(); $this->view->googleArray = $finishedFeedArray; } And then something like this in the model: class Application_Model_CalendarModelPage { $gcal = $this->_validateCalendarConnection(); $uncleanedFeedArray = $this->_getCalendarFeed($gcal); $finishedFeedArray = $this->_cleanFeed($uncleanedFeedArray); public functions { ... ... ... } } Am I on the right track here?   • Why is Zend Framework (Zend_Db_table) rejecting this SQL Query?

    I'm working on a simple JOIN of two tables (urls and companies). I am using this query call: print $this->_db->select()->from(array('u' => 'urls'), array('id', 'url', 'company_id')) ->join(array('c' => 'companies'), 'u.company_id = c.id'); which is out putting this query: SELECT `u`.`id`, `u`.`url`, `u`.`company_id`, `c`.* FROM `urls` AS `u` INNER JOIN `companies` AS `c` ON u.company_id = c.id Now, I'd prefer the c.* to not actually appear, but either way it doesn't matter. ZF dies with this error: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1" but I can run that query perfectly fine in my MySQL CLI. Any ideas how to fix up this query?

  • Zend Framework-does every webpage have it's own controller and indexAction and view?

    I'm wanting to be sure that I am setting things up correctly. On a typical website with 10 pages, would each page have it's own controller with it's own IndexAction and it's own View folder with it's own index.phtml as a view? Or do you have one controller with multiple Page1Action, Page2Action, etc and have multiple differently named view.phtml pages within view/index folder? I'm leaning toward the former because then I can have a cleaner controller for each page... Is there a standard, or is it subjective?

  • Zend Framework: How to handle exceptions in Ajax requests?

    Normally when an exception is thrown, Error controller takes command and displays error page with regular common header and footer. This behavior is not wanted in Ajax request. Because in case of error, whole html page is sent over. And in cases where I'm directly loading the content of http response in a div, this is even more unwanted. Instead in case of Ajax request, I just want to receive 'the actual error' thrown by exception. How can I do this? I think, one dirty way could be: set a var in ajax request and process accordingly. Not a good solution.

    I am using Ubuntu 10.04 and for some time I had to keep a downgraded PHP 5.2 package because I need to run Zend encrypted scripts. Recently I noticed that Zend released beta version of their loader (http://forums.zend.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=1365&start=80#p22073) so I updated to the native PHP 5.3 package, downloaded the .so file, added this to php.ini ;zend_extension=/etc/php5/ZendOptimizer.so zend_extension=/etc/php5/ZendGuardLoader.so zend_loader.enable=1 zend_loader.disable_licensing=0 zend_loader.obfuscation_level_support=3 and restarted the server. Now I am getting this error: Fatal error: Incompatible file format: The encoded file has format major ID 1, whereas the Loader expects 4 in ... on line 0 Do you by chance know an easy fix for this? Or should I downgrade back and wait till when they release something more stable?

  • ZendServer uninstall and xampp install ports conflict

    I uninstalled zend, cleaned it from the registry (it doesnt exist there).. when I go to localhost , I can see its favicon. Also my xampp port is blocked by the previous installation of zend that uses the port 80.. so I swapped xampps port to 8080.. it works..but I would rather to use port of 80.. is there a way to achieve so? perhaps changing zends port to something else? or how can I find who is listening to the same port.. By what I can see is that zend is still using the localhost..how i sthat possible

There are two models: 1) users that stores all the users 2) my_friends that stores the friend list (that is refference table with M:M relation of user) the structure of my_friends is following ...id..........user_id............friend_id........approved.... ...10.........20 ..................25...................1.......... ...10.........21 ..................25...................1.......... ...10.........22 ..................30...................1.......... ...10.........25 ..................30...................1.......... The Doctrine query to retreive friend list id follwing $friends = Doctrine_Query::create()->from('my_friends as mf') ->leftJoin('mf.users as friend') ->where("mf.user_id = 25") ->andWhere("mf.approved = 1"); Suppose I am viewing the user no.- 25. With this query I am only getting the user no.- 30. where as user no.- 25 is also approved friend of user no.- 20 and 21. Please guide me, what should be the query to find all friend and is there any need to change the DB structure.
