  What is the best way to test if a url & querystring is valid? For example, after a login redirect I want to make sure the target url is valid. If not, go to a default page. We seem to have a problem with the querystring, starting with "ReturnUrl=", being duplicated and that throws an exception. We'd rather have it go to a default page.

• Will thread.join() block other clients also?

  In an asp.net web application, say everytime the user makes the request, and the page loads, a thread is fired off that uses thread.join() to block execution until it's finished. Say this thread takes 10 seconds to complete. Does this mean that if 5 totally seperate users make a request to this page, mere miliseconds after the last, does this mean the last user is going to wait 50 seconds to finish their request? Or is each client request threaded?

Also i have a modify button, so the user can delete or edit a value from the combobox. My question is, what's the best way to save to user settings on the client with javascirpt/jquery?   Here are the ways the Eclipse documentation states you can navigate the Content Assist list: You can use the mouse or the keyboard (Up Arrow, Down Arrow, Page Up, Page Down, Home, End, Enter) to navigate and select lines in the list. But all of the options require you to move your hands significantly away from their natural place on the keyboard! Are there any other, quicker ways I can navigate this list? Something like tab, or the j/k from vi?

People are, right now, able to "remove" it with CSS and I really didn't want to go and parse the CSS to remove rules related to that bar... • Does mprotect flush the instruction cache on ARM Linux?

  I am writing a JIT on ARM Linux that executes an instruction set that contains self-modifying code. The instruction set does not have any cache flush instructions (similar to x86 in that respect). If I write out some code to a page and then call mprotect on that page, is that sufficient to invalidate the instruction cache? Or do I also need to use the cacheflush syscall on those pages?
