    I'm having hard time getting my head wrapped around this one - and it should be trivial. I would like to redirect one URL with a specific query string to another URL. I want to send any requests that contain the query string in the URL http://mysite.com/index.php?option=com_user&view=register To: http://mysite.com/index.php?option=com_regme&view=form&regme=4&random=0&Itemid=6 If they add anything to the end of the first URL, it should still go to the second URL so that they cannot bypass the redirection. Nothing in the first query string needs to be preserved and passed to the second - all I want to do is change the URL completely. I'm tearing my hair out trying to get this to work yet it should be trivial. Suggestions? Thanks, -Tim

  • Ubuntu studio/xubuntu 12.04 instead of Ubuntu 12.04/12.10 for CAD/ arhcitectural workflow. Worth it?

    I am currently using Ubuntu 12.10. So, as described in the title I am planning to install Ubuntu studio. The programs i use are Blender, Maya 2013, NukeX, Bricscad, Sketchup (with wine) and also i am planning to install revit architecture through VirtualBox. Well, I am using a quad-core CPU and i want to have all the power of my system for rendering/modelling. So, i decided to try a more lightweight desktop than unity. Also, what made me to decide this, is that when i tried to install Bricscad v12 the program does not work. So, i thought that if i want something more professional for my work i should have only LTS versions of lightweight Ubuntu. So, my 2 questions are :1) Worth it? 2) Can i have global menu(close,minimize,maximize buttons, menu) like ubuntu/unity? Thanks

    Hi, I've just started a new project in ASP.net 4.0 with MVC 2. What I need to be able to do is have a custom hook at the start and end of each action of the controller. e.g. public void Index() { *** call to the start custom hook to externalfile.cs (is empty so does nothing) ViewData["welcomeMessage"] = "Hello World"; *** call to the end custom hook to externalfile.cs (changes "Hello World!" to "Hi World") return View(); } The View then see welcomeMessage as "Hi World" after being changed in the custom hook. The custom hook would need to be in an external file and not change the "core" compiled code. This causes a problem as with my limited knowledge ASP.net MVC has to be compiled. Does anyone have any advice on how this can be achieved? Thanks

  • Wireless internet sharing stops working after client disconnects

    I'm running Unbuntu 11.10 with the latest service packs, sharing an ether connection over wireless. Everything works fine, up to the point that the client (a laptop) sleeps or otherwise disconnects. The wireless connection at that point no longer functions, not showing up when searching for the hotspot with the laptop. The only way to recover is to reboot the machine, or toggle the wireless share off/on. I've double checked the wireless card has power management off. Currently what I'm doing is keeping an Ipod plugged into the box 24/7 to keep the wireless connection up when the laptop disconnects. I've searched the internet far and wide, found many issues with wireless problems after an ubuntu box itself sleeps, but nothing directly related to my problem. Hoping someone has some idea of where to look and what to check. A girl needs her Ipod back!

I've selected a valid document on my desktop and know it contains text. What am I missing to get this file upload working?

  • No longer able to boot stuck in busybox shell

    I've installed win 7 and ubuntu 11.04. After a storm killed the power. i'm unable to boot. I'm stuck in the busybox shell (ash). Here's what happens when i boot: Bios loads Grub displays option to load: ubuntu ubuntu recovery memtest another memtest option win7 win 7 recovery I load Ubuntu This cause it to load and i see no normal ubuntu screen just the busybox shell I try loading ubuntu via fsck -l; and it returns me a /bin/sh not found error. I load windows 7 and i'm unable to boot. I get a blue screen of death I then load ubuntu recovery and i don't have any luck either. Any ideas where to go from here?

    I have several keybindings in my text editing application that no longer work now that I have switched from using a regular textbox to using a richtextbox. This is because the wpf richtextbox has several default hokeys such as "Ctrl+1", "Ctrl+2", and "Ctrl+5". My keybindings are defined in a view that contains the view that the richtextbox is in. I can't move the keybindings to the richtextbox; Is there any fix for this problem? Other than using a third-party control or creating my own richtextbox from textboxbase.

  • Quick / Built-in method for detecting table change in SQL Server?

    Is there a quick and easy way of telling if a table has changed in SQL Server? (I'm using SQL Server 2005). Something like an incrementing ID somewhere that updates on each INSERT, DELETE or UPDATE that I can keep track of. I noticed there is a sys.objects.modify_date column for each table, but I don't think it's quite what I want because the docs say: Date the object was last modified by using an ALTER statement. If the object is a table or a view, modify_date also changes when a clustered index on the table or view is created or altered.

  • savedInstanceState cannot be resolved to a variable

    I'm currently working through "The Android Developers Cookbook" and one of the tutorials involves multiple activities in an app. To give a bit of background right now I have to .java files, a "menu screen" and a "game screen". The menu screen simply has a button that leads to the game screen which is currently empty except for a button that takes you back to the menu screen. Currently the game.java file is giving me a "savedInstanceState error" this is the code I am working on. public void onCreate(Bundle savedInsanceState) { // below is where the error comes up super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.game); Button startButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.end_game); startButton.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View view) { finish(); } }); } I'm not sure why the error is coming up because on the first java file that same "public void...setContentView..." bit of code compiled perfectly fine...     I'm adding some user feedback mechanism into my app. The user types some comments into a text field and when that editing is done it updates a UITextView. Then when the user hits the submit button and moves on in the app the user may have need to send more feedback from the same form for a different item. I can reset the other fields and labels in the app to their default values when I hide the view, but not the textField (?). How can I reestablish the placeholder text next time the user accesses this view? Your suggestions are humbly appreciated.

    I think this is a relatively straightforward question but I have spent the afternoon looking for an answer and cannot yet find it. So... I have a view with a country column and a number column. I want to make any number less than 10 'other' and then sum the 'other's into one value. For example, AR 10 AT 7 AU 11 BB 2 BE 23 BY 1 CL 2 I used CASE as follows: select country = case when number < 10 then 'Other' else country end, number from ... This replaces the countries values with less than 10 in the number column to other but I can't work out how to sum them.     How do I EFI boot Zenbook Prime UX31A from built-in card reader? Ubuntu 12.10 64bit has been copied onto an a SD card which I'm trying to boot from. When I power on my Zenbook and press ESC, the SD card isn't an option. There is an "Add boot option" in the BIOS but it requires a few a things that I'm not quite sure of. Add boot option - I guess any identifier works here. I've been entering ubuntu. Select Filesystem - The only option available is PCI(1F|2)\DevicePath(Type 3, SubType 12)HD(Part1,Sig787e6287-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx) Path for boot option - I've been entering ubuntu:\EFI\BOOT\BOOTx64.EFI Then I select Create and the new boot option appears in the boot menu but it doesn't work.

  • Drupal: Two-way communication between unregistered customer and admin

    I need to setup a system where customers can choose to Request a Quote for a specific holiday package, where they will enter their personal details as well as their holiday requirements (number of rooms, etc.) and will then allow them to view a page which will have a threaded conversation between them and the admin (so the admin can reply to their quote request on the website). The problem is that most customers won't be registered when they want to request a quote, so I was thinking that the Request a Quote page could silently register the customer as a user (using their personal details) on the same page where it asks for their holiday requirements. The other option I can think of would be to not register them and just email them a unique URL where they can view their quote request and reply to the admin. Could you point me in the right direction on how to do either of those?

Now, the idea was to have one module in the database (simple a group of tables with constraints between them) pass its data to the next module via views. In this way, changes in one module would not affect the other ones, as we can make sure in the view that the right data is present there at any time, although the underlying structure of tables might be different. The structure of the App handling the database would likewise be modularized. Is this something that is sometimes done? On a technical side, as I understand views can't have primary keys - how would I then adress such a view? What other issues should be considered?

    I need to make a (preferably) mountable image of an 80GB Hdd, and store it on another hard drive. Is there some way that I can do this without losing data? Thanks for the answers I've received so far. The system in question cannot be used right now due to a problem with the power button :( [ugh!], but the information will really be useful =)! Thanks to all who answered so far, if anyone else wants to give me some tips I'll leave this open for a bit, as I still have not yet been able to clone the drive.

    Help. I installed VS.NET 2010 and now my existing ASP.NET MVC application won't run. I checked that the 1.0 version of System.Web.Mvc is still referenced but when I browse my application, I get an error like this: "Compiler Error Message: CS1579: foreach statement cannot operate on variables of type 'object' because 'object' does not contain a public definition for 'GetEnumerator'". My partial view has this declaration: <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<List<ProductModel" %> //various import statements <div <% foreach (var category in Model.Categories) { % <span<%= category.Name %</span <span<%= category.Market%</span <% } % </div For what it's worth, the source view shows ViewUserControl in red and gives a tool tip reading "Cannot resolve symbol 'ViewUserControl'". My working code didn't change, the only delta is that I upgraded to VS.NET 2010 (which includes MVC 2.0); I'm sure something is not referenced correctly but I cannot figure out what's going on.
