• Query between SQL server and Client side

  I create a query: Select * from HR_Tsalary where month='3' and year ='2010' the result is 473 records and I found 2 duplicate record, then I create another query to find duplicate record only: SELECT Emp_No, COUNT(*) FROM HR_Tsalary WHERE year = '10' AND month = '3'GROUP BY Emp_No HAVING COUNT(*) 1 the result is zero record from client side (thru Visual Basic Adodb code). But when I use same query from server the result is 2 records. Is there any different when create a query between from server side and client side?

• Possible to use Bindings only for the SourceChanged event?

  Basically I want to use the WPF Binding framework to "observe" a property in the data context, and when that value changes to call an event handler. I do not actually want to bind it to any target. Sounds simple but from what I can see Binding is too coupled (to the visual tree and various other bits) to be able to use it flexibly. Any thoughts?

  I find it very frustrating doing web development with Maven & Jetty using Eclipse, compare with what I did using Visual Studio. Everytime I make a change, even a minor change in my view file, (*.jsp, for example), then I have to re-package the whole web - waiting for jetty to reload everything before I can see the change. Is there any better way to do that, some thing like an automatically plugin that will picked that changed files and deploy the changed files to web server?

• Create Registry Value In Local Machine Using C#

  I'm trying to save an install path to the registry so my windows service will know where my other application was installed. I'm using visual studio's deployment to create a registry value in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, but my windows service which runs under LocalMachine doesn't have access to that. I then made the installer create a registry value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, but when I view the registry after the install it appears it never made the value. Any ideas?

  Hi All Visual studio allow you to create "inlined" classes (if I am not mistaken with the name). So class header and implementation all in one file. H. file contain definitions and declarations of the class and functions, there is no .cpp file at all. So I was wondering if there is any penalty for doing it that way? any disadvantages ?   I have a strange error. I'm debugging an asp.net site and suddenly it stops. Visual Studio stays in debug mode and my web application stays on running just fine. I found this post on, but I don't think a background thread is causing the problem. There's even a try catch around the code where it usually stops debugging, but the catch is not triggered... Everytime I try it, it stops at a different place in the code.
