  Hi I want to integrate with webservice writes in php (PEAR SOAP). Wsdl file is without types definition. When i was connect to webservice i getting a null response. In WebServiceStudio i see xmlrequest and xmlresponse, my I get xmlresponse in c# default soap or other soap. I know what is causing the null response.   hi all, I'm writing an app which connects to a static ip adress in a local network. How can I check if I have a local network connection? I want to connect to http://192.168.2.5 and i tried using the Rechability class but it returns FALSE, while the device is definately connected ( when i don't do the check, the app works fine so there is a connection ): Reachability *r = [Reachability reachabilityWithHostName:@"http://192.168.2.5"]; NetworkStatus internetStatus = [r currentReachabilityStatus]; How should work this out? • Tomcat - Redirect to Error Page when ServletContextListener fails

  When Tomcat starts it calls my ServletContextListener to obtain a database connection, which I will later use in other servlets with getServletContext(). It is called in my web.xml as: listener listener-class org.ppdc.database.DBCPoolingListener /listener-class /listener (I removed the < because they wouldn't display properly in this message. If I cannot connect to the database when Tomcat starts up I get a 404 error, because Tomcat cannot start the application. How can I redirect the user to a custom error page at this point? I tried the following in my web.xml (I have the < brackets in the original): (error-page) (error-code404/error-code) (location/file_not_found.html/location) (/error-page) Any ideas on how to redirect a user to one of my error pages when Tomcat tries to start the application? • WCF over named pipes

  Hi I have a problem with following scenario: There is a windows service running which spawns several processes. These processes open a WCF service host over a named pipe binding. Now the parent windows service tries to ping (connect) to the child processes using the wcf proxy over the well known named pipe. This, however fails saying: "Endpoint not found" If I run the parent process as a console application it works fine. Any ideas? I was thinking about permissions but the child processes should inherit the permission of the service, besides they are in the same session as well. thanks, Christoph

  I have 2 computers. Both with w7 as os. I have installed wampserver on one of them. I have mysql database on wampserver. Then I have made a vb.net program to connect to mysql database. I have put the program on both computers. What I want to do is for those two programs to see the same database that is on one computer. For them to be able to add, delete, update that 1 database. How do I do that? How do I network the mysql database? Do I also have to install wampserver on the other computer? What do I do? Please enlighten me.

• Identify cause of hundreds of AJP threads in Tomcat

  We have two Tomcat 6.0.20 servers fronted by Apache, with communication between the two using AJP. Tomcat in turn consumes web services on a JBoss cluster. This morning, one of the Tomcat machines was using 100% of CPU on 6 of the 8 cores on our machine. We took a heap dump using JConsole, and then tried to connect JVisualVM to get a profile to see what was taking all the CPU, but this caused Tomcat to crash. At least we had the heap dump! I have loaded the heap dump into Eclipse MAT, where I have found that we have 565 instances of java.lang.Thread. Some of these, obviously, are entirely legitimate, but the vast majority are named "ajp-6009-XXX" where XXX is a number. I know my way around Eclipse MAT pretty well, but haven't been able to find an explanation for it. If anyone has some pointers as to why Tomcat may be doing this, or some hints on finding out why using Eclipse MAT, that'd be appreciated!

My code is able to retrieve the images successfully but with a fixed size of 63KB. if the image is greater than that size, it just brings the first 63KB from the image!   I'm struggling to get the netty example websocket client working. I've compiled successfully with 4.0.0.Alpha8, but when I try to connect to a server (also a netty example) I get: Exception in thread "main" io.netty.handler.codec.http.websocketx.WebSocketHandshakeException: Invalid handshake response upgrade: websocket at io.netty.handler.codec.http.websocketx.WebSocketClientHandshaker13.finishHandshake(WebSocketClientHandshaker13.java:204) which makes no sense to me whatsoever, given that this piece of code reads: String upgrade = response.getHeader(Names.UPGRADE); if (!Values.WEBSOCKET.equalsIgnoreCase(upgrade)) { throw new WebSocketHandshakeException("Invalid handshake response upgrade: " + response.getHeader(Names.UPGRADE)); } And as the message in the exception demonstrates, the Upgrade header does contain websocket as expected. Any idea what's going on?

• Debugging android application on HTC Hero

  Is it possible to connect the ADB with an HTC Hero? I tried following the instructions for the Win USB driver but when I try to install the driver I just get a generic message saying that there was a problem installing the driver. Looking at the supported devices, the HTC Hero isn't listed. Is this even possible? As a note, I've tried removing drivers and then re-adding using USBDeview and I've also tried adding in the line ";HTC Hero %USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0FFE.DeviceDescRelease%=androidusb.Dev, USB\Vid_0bb4&Pid_0ffe&Rev_0100" in the inf file for the driver.

• Dropdown menus not showing when i use my wpf application via Remote connections

  When i connect to my machine using remote desktop the dropdown menus and comboboxes i used in my wpf application is not showing up. And after closing the session when i comes back to my development machine where actually my application runs there also the same issue happens after the remote desktop session. Tried by changing resolution and all sometimes it works but most of the time result is negative. The only temporary solution i found for this is just rebooting the system which is not applicable. Could anyone please help me to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

• Pear MDB2 class and raiserror exceptions in MSSQL

  Hi, in MSSQL it's possible to raise an error with raiserror(). I want to use a severity, which doesn't interrupt the connection. This error is raised in a stored procedure. In SQL Management Studio all is fine and I get my error code when executing this SP. But when trying to execute this SP via MDB2 in PHP5 this doesn't work. All I get is an empty array. MDB2 object is created via (including needed options): $db =& MDB2::connect($dsn); $db->setFetchMode(MDB2_FETCHMODE_ASSOC); $db->setOption('portability',MDB2_PORTABILITY_ALL ^ MDB2_PORTABILITY_EMPTY_TO_NULL); The following works (I get a PEAR error): $db->query("RAISERROR('test',11,0);"); But when calling a stored procedure which raises this error via $db->query("EXEC sp_raise_error"); there is not output. What's wrong?

• Problem with Qt::QueuedConnection, signal delivered after disconnect

  Hi, I just discovered interesting behavior of queued connection in Qt 4.6: First queued connection is made: connect(someSender, SIGNAL(completed()), this, SLOT(handleCompletion()), Qt::QueuedConnection) Then someSender sends the signal: emit completed() Before receiving signal (as it is in queue), I disconnect from the signal: disconnect(someSender, SIGNAL(completed()), this, SLOT(handleCompletion()) Still, handleCompletion slot is invoked at next eventloop iteration. I can prevent this from happening by using someSender-blockSignals(true) at correct point, but it feels awful not to mention having some boolean flag to disable slot's functionality. Especially, I feel amazed that this behavior is not mentioned in Qt documentation (at least I haven't found). Finally the question: any sensible way to avoid this from happening?

• rails accessing value from facebooker hash/array

  This is my first time using the facebooker plugin with rails, and I'm having trouble accessing user info. The website uses FB connect to authenticate users. I am trying to get the name of the university that the logged in user attends. When I use the command <%= facebook_session.user.education_history[:name] %>, I get an error "Symbol as array index". I have also tried using education_history[1], but that just returns "# Facebooker::EducationInfo:<some sort of alphanumeric hash value>" When I use something like <%= facebook_session.user.relationship_status %> , it returns the relationship status just fine. Similarly, <%= facebook_session.user.hometown_location.city %> returns the city name just fine. I've checked out the documentation for facebooker, but I can't figure out the correct way to get the values I need. Any idea on how to get this to work? Thanks!

  I have setup Riak on a Ubuntu machine, and it seam to work if I do riak ping. Now I would like to use the Riak Java client to store an object, but it doesn't work. I get com.basho.riak.client.response.RiakIORuntimeException when I try to store an object. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to test if I can access riak from my java client? • Assistance using respond_to to find the right actions to render PDF in ruby on rails

  Hi, I am trying out Prince with the Princely plugin, which is supposed to format templates that have the .pdf into a PDF generator. Here is my controller: class TodoController < ApplicationController def show_date @date = Date.today @campaigns = Campaign.all @contacts = Contact.all @contacts.each do |contact| end respond_to do |format| format.html format.pdf do render :pdf => "filename", :stylesheets => ["application", "prince"], :layout => "pdf" end end end end I changed the routes.db to include the following: map.connect ':controller/:action.:format' map.todo "todo/today", :controller => "todo", :action => "show_date" My expected behavior is when I enter todo/today.pdf, it tries to execute show_date, but renders according to the princely plugin. Right now, it says cannot find action. What do I need to do to fix this?

• How do I add the Disqus comment system to a Rails application in a similar fashion to Wordpress?

  In Wordpress, the Disqus plugin allows you to choose to subscribe to a post via RSS or via email. Is there a pluign similar to the Wordpress plugin for Rails. Norman's Disqus plugin just uses the Disqus site to make it work. I was hoping to have things more stored locally. For an example of what I mean, take a look at this blog entry. I already know that since Rails (this application in particular) is using Authlogic (plus Facebook Connect), that Disqus cannot be too tightly coupled with the Authentication system. Has anyone ever done this or figured out a way to do this?

• Why did mislav-will_paginate start adding so much garbage to urls between rails 2.3.2 and 2.3.5?

  I've used will_paginate in a number of projects now, but when I moved one of them to Rails 2.3.5, clicking on any of the pagination links (page number, next, prev, etc.,) went from getting nice URLs like this: http://foo.com/user/1/date/2005_01_31/phone/555-6161 to this: http://foo.com/?options[]=user&options[]=date&options[]=2005_01_31&options[]=phone&options[]=555-6161 I have a route that looks like this that is probably the source of the 'options' keyword: map.connect '/browse/*options', :controller=>'assets', :action=>'browse' It's enough of an annoyance that I'm willing to roll a paginator to get around this if there isn't a way to get back to where I was before. Is there a way to get will_paginate to turn array-style routes into sane urls again? Thanks.

• DDMS Not Showing Threads From Device

  I'd like to check for memory leaks in my Android app using the DDMS feature in Eclipse. When I launch an emulated device, the threads display properly for the emulated device, starting with 8600 and up. However, when I connect my Droid to the PC, the device shows up just fine in DDMS. The logcat is generated correctly, and I can view the file structure. However, threads do not display. I get "no client selected" in the Threads pane, and there is no drop-down icon next to the device listing. Do I need to change some particular setting in Eclipse? Is this maybe a driver issue?

  I have a piece of code that converts an infix expression to an expression tree in memory. This works just fine. There's just one small trouble. I just connect work out how to involve the unary operators correctly (the right associative ones). With the following infix expression : +1 + +2 - -3 - -4 I would expect an RPN of: 1+2++3-4-- Yet, none of the online infix-post converters I can find handle this example in the way I would expect. Does anyone have a clear explanation of handling right associative operators, specifically the binary ones that can be mistaken for the unary ones?

  Given multi-tenant application, How are vendors implementing email notifications from an email account setup and programming perspective: Sending emails could come from a generic account: eg [email protected] or [email protected], this seems reasonable considering reply addresses and lilnks can be contained within the email contents. Receiving Emails: How would an application receive email, for instance; to generate support tickets or assign comments in an email to a project/task. I have seen ID's within the subject and some reply to addresses containing the account name eg: [email protected] I realise one can programatically connect to a pop3 server and receive emails and look for the IDs with the subject, but is there a way of setting up and receiving email to a single pop3 account from multiple sub-host name email addresses (not sure on terminology there) eg: [email protected] or [email protected] and check the Account Name from the address? (similar to checking subdomains on a URL) Any practices, experience, comments or sughestions? (not sure its relevant, but using C# asp.net-mvc and services etc)
