  • Solution for ora-1017 error for odp.net 2.111.7.0 ?

    Hi, As you are aware Oracle 11g has new facility of case sensitive password. We want to make use of it. When my C# application connects to oracle databse using ODP.Net 2.111.7.0 I am getting ora-1017 error. When we switch off this case sensitive feature it works without any change to the connection string. Any idea what is missing? is there any escape sequence we can use to specify lowercase characters in password? Thanks

    What potential memory leaks won't an implicit destructor handle? I know that if you have anything stored on the heap it won't handle it, and if you have a connection to a file or a database, that needs to be handled manually. Is there anything else? What about, say, non-base data types like vectors? Also, in an explicit destructor, need you destroy non-heap variables which would have been destroyed by the implicit, or are they handled automatically? Thanks

    This is my current query - its not getting the required result. I want it do display all of the "resources" even if they dont have a connection. SELECT * FROM (`user_permissions`) JOIN `user_groups` ON `user_groups`.`id` = `user_permissions`.`role` JOIN `user_resources` ON `user_resources`.`id` = `user_permissions`.`resource` WHERE `role` = '4' When I try left join or right join it still returns the same result.   • DATA command hangs

    Hello, what can i do, if a Mailserver accepts a connection but does not return any data? The default javax.mail implementation just hangs indefinitley. Event setting the smtp.timeout does not help - it still hangs. I even tried to set a custom SocketFactory to set the sotimeouts and solinger directly, but it still hangs. Somehow the socket does get kept alive? But how? Thx for any ideas! Ciao, Nils

    I'm looking for some way of editing SharePoint ASPX pages on my Mac, using either a local text editor or some kind of remote-into-the-SP-server solution (like emacs with tramp). I know that Cyberduck has the ability to open WebDAV servers with NTLM authentication, but I've been unable to get that to work. So far, the only solution I've found is to use a remote desktop connection to a Windows Server, and run SharePoint Designer from there. Anyone know of either a better method, or a SharePoint Designer alternative?

    I am using VS2010, CrystalReport13 & MVC3. My problem is unable to add an external assembly in Crystal Report using "Database Expert" Option. I have a class named WeeklyReportModel in an external assembly. In my web project, data retrieving from DB as IEnumerable collection of WeeklyReportModel. I tried ProjectData - .NetObjects in Crystal Report for adding the WeeklyReportModel. But this external assembly is not showing under ".NetObjects". Then I tried other option as Create New Connection - ADO.Net – Make New Connection and pointed this External Assembly. It has been added under Ado.Net node, but while expanding displays as "...no items found..." Totally frustrated. Please help.     I have some procedures to execute in the database that has an OUT REFCURSOR parameter. When I am connecting with the JDBC thin client, everything works fine. However, if I were to change the connection string to refer to the ODBC data source pointing to the same database, those procedures will fail. The procedures that do not use an OUT REFCURSOR will still work fine though. Is this situation the result of an error on my part or expected?

  • How can I forcibly close a TcpListener

    I have a service which communicates through tcpListener. Problem is when the user restarts the service - an "Address already in use" exception is thrown, and the service cannot be started for a couple of minutes or so. Is there's any way of telling the system to terminate the old connection so I can open a new one? (I can't just use random ports because there is no way for the service to notify the clients what is the port, so we must depend on a predefined port)

  • No IO exception reported for socket operation when the interface is removed

    The wifi network is connected, the application setup a socket connection and exchange data with the remote server. But when turn off the wifi, the inteface is removed, while socket operation read/write on this socket is still like normal, no any IO exception reported. The application has to do some extra checking to avoid waiting for the data forever. Is this the normal case for Android design? Is there any plan to fix it?

    Hi, I moved a VS Solution file from an old PC to a new PC. When I opened the solution in VS2010, I found that the database connections in database explorer was not present. Now I want the project to connect to a SQL Server database which is local to the new PC. I have moved the database files (.ldf and .mdf) to the new location and created new connection in Database explorer. But the program seems to be not fetching any data when I run it. What are the other changes I need to do?

    After upgrade to PHP 5.3 my application is returning DB2 columns with Timestamp type as "2010-12-15-10.23.22.716000". This is causing problem for PHP DateTime function, as it fails with Failed to parse time string (2010-12-15-10.23.22.716000) at position 25 (0): Unexpected character It seems its having a problem with too much accuracy in DB2 timestamp. Can I somehow force connection to change timestamp format with it is fetching data into?

It works perfectly when the screen is on, but when it goes of the phone stops responding to the pings after a while. I've created a Wi-Fi wake lock but i'm still experiencing still the same problem..   • How to parse a date from an SSIS Excel filename

    I want to use the foreach container to iterate through a folder matching something like: "Filename_MMYYYY.xls". That's easy enough to do; but I can't seem to find a way to parse the MMYYYY from the filename and add it to a variable (or something) that i can use as a lookup field for my DimDate table. It seems possible with a flat file data source, but not an excel connection. I'm using Visual Studio 2005. Please help!
