  • Access and modify attributes/objects which are not part of the form backing bean

    - by spa
    I use Spring MVC (via Spring Roo) to build a small web application for administering persons. In the page for creating a person the bean Person is used as form backing object (key "person" in the model map). <form:form action="${form_url}" method="POST" modelAttribute="person"> I would like to add some attributes to the model map which can be altered by the user in the creation form. Basically, I try to add a Boolean, so that I can control which page is displayed next after the user presses the submit button. I try to modify the Boolean (key "myBoolean" in the model map) using a simple checkbox: <form:checkbox id="_myboolean_id" path="myBoolean"/> However, as I am new to Spring MVC I have some difficulties here. The Boolean object is not an attribute of the form backing object. So if I try to access it the following exception is thrown (of course): Invalid property 'myBoolean' of bean class [de.cm.model.Person]: Bean property 'myBoolean' is not readable or has an invalid getter method: Does the return type of the getter match the parameter type of the setter? Is there are way to access a value of the model map directly? The only solution I can imagine right now is a kind of wrapper object around the class Person and my additional attributes which is used as a new form backing object. However, this is more work for a IMHO simple task. Do you have a better solution?

  • Passing viewmodel to actionresult creates new viewmodel

    - by Jonas Bohez
    I am using a viewmodel, which i then when to send to an actionresult to use (the modified viewmodel) But in the controller, i lose the list and objects in my viewmodel. This is my view: @using PigeonFancier.Models @model PigeonFancier.Models.InschrijvingModel @using (Html.BeginForm("UpdateInschrijvingen","Melker",Model)) { <div> <fieldset> <table> @foreach (var item in Model.inschrijvingLijst) { <tr> <td>@Html.DisplayFor(model => item.Duif.Naam)</td> <td> @Html.CheckBoxFor(model => item.isGeselecteerd)</td> </tr> } </table> <input type="submit" value="Wijzigen"/> </fieldset> </div> } This is my controller, which does nothing at the moment until i can get the full viewmodel back from the view. public ActionResult UpdateInschrijvingen(InschrijvingModel inschrijvingsModel) { // inschrijvingsModel is not null, but it creates a new model before it comes here with //Use the model for some updates return RedirectToAction("Inschrijven", new { vluchtId = inschrijvingsModel.vlucht.VluchtId }); } This is the model with the List and some other objects who become null because it creates a new model when it comes back from the view to the actionresult public class InschrijvingModel { public Vlucht vlucht; public Duivenmelker duivenmelker; public List<CheckBoxModel> inschrijvingLijst { get; set; } public InschrijvingModel() { // Without this i get, No parameterless constructor defined exception. // So it uses this when it comes back from the view to make a new model } public InschrijvingModel(Duivenmelker m, Vlucht vl) { inschrijvingLijst = new List<CheckBoxModel>(); vlucht = vl; duivenmelker = m; foreach (var i in m.Duiven) { inschrijvingLijst.Add(new CheckBoxModel(){Duif = i, isGeselecteerd = i.IsIngeschrevenOpVlucht(vl)}); } } What is going wrong and how should i fix this problem please? Thanks

  • Accessing a file on a network drive

    - by Rekreativc
    Hello. Background: I have an application that has to read from files on a network drive (Z:) This works great in my office domain, however it does not work on site (in a different domain). As far as I can tell the domain users and network drives are set in the same way, however I do not have access to users etc in the customers domain. When I couldn't access the network drive I figured I needed a token for a user. This is how I impersionate the user: [DllImport("advapi32.dll", SetLastError = true, CharSet = CharSet.Unicode)] public static extern bool LogonUser(String lpszUsername, String lpszDomain, String lpszPassword, int dwLogonType, int dwLogonProvider, ref IntPtr phToken); ... const string userName = "Razvoj02"; const string pass = "Programer02"; const string domainName = null; const int LOGON32_PROVIDER_DEFAULT = 0; const int LOGON32_LOGON_INTERACTIVE = 2; IntPtr tokenHandle = new IntPtr(0); bool returnValue = LogonUser(userName, domainName, pass, LOGON32_LOGON_INTERACTIVE, LOGON32_PROVIDER_DEFAULT, ref tokenHandle); if (!returnValue) throw new Exception("Logon failed."); WindowsImpersonationContext impersonatedUser = null; try { WindowsIdentity wid = new WindowsIdentity(tokenHandle); impersonatedUser = wid.Impersonate(); } finally { if (impersonatedUser != null) impersonatedUser.Undo(); } Now here is the interesting/weird part. In my network the application can already access the network drive, and if I try to impersonate the active user (exactly the same user, including the same domain) it will not be able to access the network drive. This leaves me helpless since now I have no idea what works and what doesn't, and more to the point, will it work on site? What am I missing?

    Hi, I'm tryingot get started with IoC, I have an MVC project in which is use subsonic, I'm trying to inject subsonic simplerepository to my controllers but I'm getting this error: StructureMap Exception Code: 205 Missing requested Instance property "connectionStringName" for InstanceKey "60b735fb-0a7f-4eb4-be04-635f6f32233d" Here is my registry class: public class RepositoryRegistry : Registry { protected override void configure() { ForRequestedType<IRepository>().TheDefault.Is.OfConcreteType(typeof(SimpleRepository)); } } And here is my controller factory: public class StoreControllerFactory: DefaultControllerFactory { protected override IController GetControllerInstance(Type controllerType) { IController result = null; if (controllerType!=null) { result = ObjectFactory.GetInstance(controllerType) as Controller; } return result; } } And this is how I configure StructureMap: protected void Application_Start() { RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes); ObjectFactory.Initialize(x=> { x.AddRegistry(new RepositoryRegistry()); }); ControllerBuilder.Current.SetControllerFactory(new StoreControllerFactory()); var sparkSettings = new SparkSettings().SetDebug(true).AddNamespace("System.Web.Mvc.Html"); ViewEngines.Engines.Clear(); ViewEngines.Engines.Add(new SparkViewFactory(sparkSettings)); } Any help would be appreciated! • Accessing deleted rows from a DataTable

    - by Ken
    Hello: I have a parent WinForm that has a MyDataTable _dt as a member. The MyDataTable type was created in the "typed dataset" designer tool in Visual Studio 2005 (MyDataTable inherits from DataTable) _dt gets populated from a db via ADO.NET. Based on changes from user interaction in the form, I delete a row from the table like so: _dt.FindBySomeKey(_someKey).Delete(); Later on, _dt is passed by value to a dialog form. From there, I need to scan through all the rows to build a string: foreach (myDataTableRow row in _dt) { sbFilter.Append("'" + row.info + "',"); } The problem is that upon doing this after a delete, the following exception is thrown: DeletedRowInaccessibleException: Deleted row information cannot be accessed through the row. The work around that I am currently using (which feels like a hack) is the following: foreach (myDataTableRow row in _dt) { if (row.RowState != DataRowState.Deleted && row.RowState != DataRowState.Detached) { sbFilter.Append("'" + row.info + "',"); } } My question: Is this the proper way to do this? Why would the foreach loop access rows that have been tagged via the Delete() method??

  • LPX-00607 for ora:contains in java but not sqlplus

    - by Windle
    Hey all, I am trying to doing some sql querys out of Oracle 11g and am having issues using ora:contains. I am using spring's jdbc impl and my code generates the sql statement: select * from view_name where column_a = ? and column_b = ? and existsNode(xmltype(clob_column), 'record/name [ora:contains(text(), "name1") 0]', 'xmlns:ora="http://xmlns.oralce.com/xdb"') = 1 I have removed the actual view / column names obviously, but when I copy that into sqlplus and substitute in random values, the select executes properly. When I try to run it in my DAO code I get this stack trace: org.springframework.jdbc.UncatergorizedSQLException: PreparedStatementCallback; uncatergorizedSQLException for SQL [the big select above]; SQL state [99999]; error code [31011]; ORA-31011: XML parsing failed. ORA-19202: Error occured in XML processing LPX-00607: Invalid reference: 'contains' ;nested exception is java.sql.SQLException: ORA-31011: XML parsing failed ORA-19202: Error occured in XML processing LPX-00607: Invalid reference: 'contains' (continues on like this for awhile....) I think it is worth mentioning that I am using maven and it is possible I am missing some dependency that is required for this. Sorry the post is so long, but I wanted to err on the side of too much info. Thanks for taking the time to read this at least =) -Windle

  • Why is Swing Parser's handleText not handling nested tags?

    - by Jim P
    I need to transform some HTML text that has nested tags to decorate 'matches' with a css attribute to highlight it (like firefox search). I can't just do a simple replace (think if user searched for "img" for example), so I'm trying to just do the replace within the body text (not on tag attributes). I have a pretty straightforward HTML parser that I think should do this: final Pattern pat = Pattern.compile(srch, Pattern.CASE_INSENSITIVE); Matcher m = pat.matcher(output); if (m.find()) { final StringBuffer ret = new StringBuffer(output.length()+100); lastPos=0; try { new ParserDelegator().parse(new StringReader(output.toString()), new HTMLEditorKit.ParserCallback () { public void handleText(char[] data, int pos) { ret.append(output.subSequence(lastPos, pos)); Matcher m = pat.matcher(new String(data)); ret.append(m.replaceAll("<span class=\"search\">$0</span>")); lastPos=pos+data.length; } }, false); ret.append(output.subSequence(lastPos, output.length())); return ret; } catch (Exception e) { return output; } } return output; My problem is, when I debug this, the handleText is getting called with text that includes tags! It's like it's only going one level deep. Anyone know why? Is there some simple thing I need to do to HTMLParser (haven't used it much) to enable 'proper' behavior of nested tags? PS - I figured it out myself - see answer below. Short answer is, it works fine if you pass it HTML, not pre-escaped HTML. Doh! Hope this helps someone else. <span>example with <a href="#">nested</a> <p>more nesting</p> </span> <!-- all this gets thrown together -->

  • using JMock to write unit test for a simple spring JDBC DAO

    - by Quincy
    I'm writing an unit test for spring jdbc dao. The method to test is: public long getALong() { return simpleJdbcTemplate.queryForObject("sql query here", new RowMapper<Long>() { public Long mapRow(ResultSet resultSet, int i) throws SQLException { return resultSet.getLong("a_long"); } }); } Here is what I have in the test: public void testGetALong() throws Exception { final Long result = 1000L; context.checking(new Expectations() {{ oneOf(simpleJdbcTemplate).queryForObject("sql_query", new RowMapper<Long>() { public Long mapRow(ResultSet resultSet, int i) throws SQLException { return resultSet.getLong("a_long"); } }); will(returnValue(result)); }}); Long seq = dao.getALong(); context.assertIsSatisfied(); assertEquals(seq, result); } Naturally, the test doesn't work (otherwise, I wouldn't be asking this question here). The problem is the rowmapper in the test is different from the rowmapper in the DAO. So the expectation is not met. I tried to put with around the sql query and with(any(RowMapper.class)) for the rowmapper. It wouldn't work either, complains about "not all parameters were given explicit matchers: either all parameters must be specified by matchers or all must be specified by values, you cannot mix matchers and values"

The problem i have is if i only update 4 or 5 images then it works fine. But if i load more than 5 images i will get a force close. At times when the internet is slow I will face the same problem too. Can please help me to solve this problem or provide me some guidance? • Linq: the linked objects are null, why?

    - by user46503
    Hello, I have several linked tables (entities). I'm trying to get the entities using the following linq: ObjectQuery<Location> locations = context.Location; ObjectQuery<ProductPrice> productPrice = context.ProductPrice; ObjectQuery<Product> products = context.Product; IQueryable<ProductPrice> res1 = from pp in productPrice join loc in locations on pp.Location equals loc join prod in products on pp.Product equals prod where prod.Title.ToLower().IndexOf(Word.ToLower()) > -1 select pp; This query returns 2 records, ProductPrice objects that have linked object Location and Product but they are null and I cannot understand why. If I try to fill them in the linq as below: res = from pp in productPrice join loc in locations on pp.Location equals loc join prod in products on pp.Product equals prod where prod.Title.ToLower().IndexOf(Word.ToLower()) > -1 select new ProductPrice { ProductPriceId = pp.ProductPriceId, Product = prod }; I have the exception "The entity or complex type 'PBExplorerData.ProductPrice' cannot be constructed in a LINQ to Entities query" Could someone please explain me what happens and what I need to do? Thanks

  • VB.net Saving an MetaFile / EMF as a bitmap ( .tiff)

    - by pehaada
    Currently I have a third party control that generates a Metafile. I can save the .wmf file to disk with out issue. The problem is how do I render the Metafile as a Tiff file. Currently I have the following code to get my metafile and save it. Dim mf As Metafile = page.GetImage(TXTextControl.Page.PageContent.All) Dim enhMetafileHandle As IntPtr = mf.GetHenhmetafile() Dim h As IntPtr Dim bufferSize As UInteger = GetEnhMetaFileBits(enhMetafileHandle, 0, h) Dim buffer(CInt(bufferSize)) As Byte GetEnhMetaFileBits(enhMetafileHandle, bufferSize, buffer) Dim msMetafileStream As New MemoryStream msMetafileStream.Write(buffer, 0, CInt(bufferSize)) Dim baMetafileData() As Byte baMetafileData = msMetafileStream.ToArray Dim g As Graphics = Graphics.FromImage(mf) mf.Dispose() File.WriteAllBytes("c:\a.wmf", baMetafileData) end sub _ Public Shared Function GetEnhMetaFileBits( ByVal hEMF As System.IntPtr, ByVal nSize As UInteger, ByVal lpData As IntPtr) As UInteger End Function <System.Runtime.InteropServices.DllImportAttribute("gdi32.dll", EntryPoint:="GetEnhMetaFileBits")> _ Public Shared Function GetEnhMetaFileBits(<System.Runtime.InteropServices.InAttribute()> ByVal hEMF As System.IntPtr, ByVal nSize As UInteger, ByVal lpData() As Byte) As UInteger End Function I've tried all sort of IMAGE and Graphic calls and just can't save the meta file as a .tiff. Any suggestions would be great. I even tried to create a new bitmap and draw the metafile onto it. I always end up with a GDI exception being thrown.

    I am working through "Beginning iPad Application Development" and am getting hung up in Chapter 3 where I have created a project that works with an Action Sheet. As it stands now, my application loads into the simulator just fine with no errors that I am aware of, but as it runs, it crashes with the following errors showing up in the debugger window: 2010-05-31 19:44:39.703 UsingViewsActionSheet[49538:207] * Assertion failure in -[UIActionSheet showInView:], /SourceCache/UIKit_Sim/UIKit-1145.66/UIAlert.m:7073 2010-05-31 19:44:39.705 UsingViewsActionSheet[49538:207] * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Invalid parameter not satisfying: view != nil' I am sure that this is the block where the app breaks based upon my use of breakpoints. //Implement viewDidLoad to do additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib. - (void)viewDidLoad { UIActionSheet *action = [[UIActionSheet alloc] initWithTitle:@"This is my Action Sheet!" delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:@"OK" destructiveButtonTitle:@"Delete Message!" otherButtonTitles:@"Option 1", @"Option 2", @"Option 3", nil]; [action showInView:self.view]; // <-- This line seems to trigger the crash.... Using JW Player ver 5.4 and JW Embedder. Plugins are grid by Dabbler and fbit (Facebook). The Bitrate switching is not working. Does work fine for one video with HTML5 Video tag. When more than one video, it only shows the first video pic. Works fine with no bitrate switching. Code - HTML5 <script type="text/javascript" src="jwplayer/jwplayer.js"></script> <video id="container"></div> <script type="text/javascript"> jwplayer("container").setup({ flashplayer: "jwplayer/player.swf", streamer: "rtmp://server/location/", playlistfile: "playlists/playlist.xml", plugins: { grid: { rows: 4, distance: 60, horizontalmargin: 75, verticalmargin: 75 }, fbit: { link: "http://www.domain.com" } }, height: 375, width: 850, dock: true }); </script> XML - ATOM/MEDIA xmlns:jwplayer='http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/FlashFormats' Demostration Playlist Video 1 rtmp rtmp://server/location/ Video 2 rtmp rtmp://server/location/ have tried it with both video and div tags for the container. Div tag just shows a blank video area and a Null exception on Line 1 char 1863, this is probably the jwplayer.js file. XML is larger than this, this is to give you a brief syntax of my code and xml. I have searched for over 6 hrs on both longtail and search engine searches. Thank you in advance.

  • httprequest handle time delays till having response

    - by bourax webmaster
    I have an application that calls a function to send JSON object to a REST API, my problem is how can I handle time delays and repeat this function till i have a response from the server in case of interrupted network connexion ?? I try to use the Handler but i don't know how to stop it when i get a response !!! here's my function that is called when button clicked : protected void sendJson(final String name, final String email, final String homepage,final Long unixTime,final String bundleId) { Thread t = new Thread() { public void run() { Looper.prepare(); //For Preparing Message Pool for the child Thread HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpConnectionParams.setConnectionTimeout(client.getParams(), 10000); //Timeout Limit HttpResponse response; JSONObject json = new JSONObject(); //creating meta object JSONObject metaJson = new JSONObject(); try { HttpPost post = new HttpPost("http://util.trademob.com:5000/cards"); metaJson.put("time", unixTime); metaJson.put("bundleId", bundleId); json.put("name", name); json.put("email", email); json.put("homepage", homepage); //add the meta in the root object json.put("meta", metaJson); StringEntity se = new StringEntity( json.toString()); se.setContentType(new BasicHeader(HTTP.CONTENT_TYPE, "application/json")); post.setEntity(se); String authorizationString = "Basic " + Base64.encodeToString( ("tester" + ":" + "tm-sdktest").getBytes(), Base64.NO_WRAP); //Base64.NO_WRAP flag post.setHeader("Authorization", authorizationString); response = client.execute(post); String temp = EntityUtils.toString(response.getEntity()); Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), temp, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); } catch(Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } Looper.loop(); //Loop in the message queue } }; t.start(); }

  • LINQ-To-SQL and Mapping Table Deletions

    - by Jake
    I have a many-to-many relationship between two tables, let's say Friends and Foods. If a friend likes a food I stick a row into the FriendsFoods table, like this: ID Friend Food 1 'Tom' 'Pizza' FriendsFoods has a Primary Key 'ID', and two non-null foreign keys 'Friend' and 'Food' to the 'Friends' and 'Foods' tables, respectively. Now suppose I have a Friend tom .NET object corresponding to 'Tom', and Tom no longer likes pizza (what is wrong with him?) FriendsFoods ff = tblFriendsFoods.Where(x => x.Friend.Name == 'Tom' && x.Food.Name == 'Pizza').Single(); tom.FriendsFoods.Remove(ff); pizza.FriendsFoods.Remove(ff); If I try to SubmitChanges() on the DataContext, I get an exception because it attempts to insert a null into the Friend and Food columns in the FriendsFoods table. I'm sure I can put together some kind of convoluted logic to track changes to the FriendsFoods table, intercept SubmitChanges() calls, etc to try and get this to work the way I want, but is there a nice, clean way to remove a Many-To-Many relationship with LINQ-To-SQL?

  • Button Click Event Getting Lost

    - by AlishahNovin
    I have a Menu and Submenu structure in Silverlight, and I want the submenu to disappear when the parent menu item loses focus - standard Menu behavior. I've noticed that the submenu's click events are lost when a submenu item is clicked, because the parent menu item loses focus and the submenu disappears. It's easier to explain with code: ParentMenuBtn.Click += delegate { SubMenu.Visibility = (SubMenu.Visibility == Visibility.Visible) ? SubMenu.Collapsed : SubMenu.Visible; }; ParentMenuBtn.LostFocus += delegate { SubMenu.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; }; SubMenuBtn.Click += delegate { throw new Exception("This will never be thrown."); }; In my example, when SubMenuBtn is clicked, the first event that triggers is ParentMenuBtn.LostFocus(), which hides the container of SubMenuBtn. Once the container's visibility collapses, the Click event is never triggered. I'd rather avoid having to hide the sub-menu each time, but I'm a little surprised that the Click event is never triggered as a result... I can't put any checks inside the LostFocus() event to see if my SubMenuBtn has focus, because it does not gain focus until after the LostFocus() event is called. In other words, SubMenuBtn.IsFocused = false when LostFocus() is triggered. Anyone have any thoughts about this?

  • In Java, send commands to another command-line program

    - by bradvido
    I am using Java on Windows XP and want to be able to send commands to another program such as telnet. I do not want to simply execute another program. I want to execute it, and then send it a sequence of commands once it's running. Here's my code of what I want to do, but it does not work: (If you uncomment and change the command to "cmd" it works as expected. Please help.) try { Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime(); String command = "telnet"; //command = "cmd"; Process pr = rt.exec(command); BufferedReader processOutput = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(pr.getInputStream())); BufferedWriter processInput = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(pr.getOutputStream())); String commandToSend = "open localhost\n"; //commandToSend = "dir\n" + "exit\n"; processInput.write(commandToSend); processInput.flush(); int lineCounter = 0; while(true) { String line = processOutput.readLine(); if(line == null) break; System.out.println(++lineCounter + ": " + line); } processInput.close(); processOutput.close(); pr.waitFor(); } catch(Exception x) { x.printStackTrace(); }

  • Export Multiple Crystal Reports ASP.NET

    - by AProgrammer
    Hey all, I want to export 2 different reports when I click an Export button. The problem is the routine only fires once and I only get one report to print out. Am I doing something wrong? I think it has something to do with the HTTPResponse, but I'm not sure. • Linq to SQL Problem System.Data.Linq.IdentityManager.StandardIdentityManager.MultiKeyManager

    - by luckyluke
    I have a really tricky thing going up here. My project has around 100 tables and they are all mapped by LINQ. Everything works fine in a dev and test environment. These enviroments are MS Win 2008 r2 servers with SQL 2008 sp1 databases. IIS and SQL are on a different machines. Now on production enviroment which is MS Win 2003 x64 web farm + geoclustered SQL 2008 IT DOES not work. All I get is the exception System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array. at System.Data.Linq.IdentityManager.StandardIdentityManager.MultiKeyManager3.TryCreateKeyFr>om Values(Object[] values, MultiKey& k) at System.Data.Linq.IdentityManager.StandardIdentityManager.IdentityCache2.Find(Object[] keyValues) at System.Data.Linq.ChangeProcessor.GetOtherItem(MetaAssociation assoc, Object instance) at System.Data.Linq.ChangeProcessor.BuildEdgeMaps() at System.Data.Linq.ChangeProcessor.SubmitChanges(ConflictMode failureMode) at System.Data.Linq.DataContext.SubmitChanges(ConflictMode failureMode) at ERS.IIMP.Services.ExposuresSrv.Update(Int32 ExpID, Int32 AssID) Services\ExposuresSrv.cs` My question is What the hell. They have precisely the same DBML, the DB has exactly THE SAME structure (when I get the DB from prod to TEST and mount it eveything works just great), the binaries on the WEB Server are the same. I seriously do not know what to do.... Did anyone found that Linq works on one env and does not on the second?? I mam really lost here. I really hope You can help me:)

  • Write binary data as a response in an ASP.NET MVC web control

    - by Lou Franco
    I am trying to get a control that I wrote for ASP.NET to work in an ASP.NET MVC environment. Normally, the control does the normal thing, and that works fine Sometimes it needs to respond by clearing the response, writing an image to the response stream and changing the content type. When you do this, you get an exception "OutputStream is not available when a custom TextWriter is used". If I were a page or controller, I see how I can create custom responses with binary data, but I can't see how to do this from inside a control's render functions. To simplify it -- imagine I want to make a web control that renders to: <img src="pageThatControlIsOn?controlImage"> And I know how to look at incoming requests and recognize query strings that should be routed to the control. Now the control is supposed to respond with a generated image (content-type: image/png -- and the encoded image). In ASP.NET, we: Response.Clear(); Response.OutputStream.Write(thePngData); // this throws in MVC // set the content type, etc Response.End(); How am I supposed to do that in an ASP.NET MVC control?

    - by user195114
    I want the users to type their text in the given textbox and on clicking on createNewFile Button, a SaveAs Dialogbox should popup and the users should browse through the location and save the file as desired. I have tried some thing but (1) the dialog box goes behind the application (2) when run, dialogbox opens 3 times, means it executes 3 times REPLY TO THE POST protected void btnNewFile_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { StreamWriter sw = null; try { SaveFileDialog sdlg = new SaveFileDialog(); DialogResult result = sdlg.ShowDialog(); sdlg.InitialDirectory = @"C:\"; sdlg.AddExtension = true; sdlg.CheckPathExists = true; sdlg.CreatePrompt = false; sdlg.OverwritePrompt = true; sdlg.ValidateNames = true; sdlg.ShowHelp = true; sdlg.DefaultExt = "txt"; // sdlg.ShowDialog = Form.ActiveForm; string file = sdlg.FileName.ToString(); string data = txtNewFile.Text; if (sdlg.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK) { sw.WriteLine(txtNewFile.Text); sw.Close(); } if (sdlg.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.Cancel) { sw.Dispose(); } //Save(file, data); } catch { } finally { if (sw != null) { sw.Close(); } } } private void Save(string file, string data) { StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(file); SaveFileDialog sdlg1 = new SaveFileDialog(); try { if (sdlg1.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK) { writer.Write(data); writer.Close(); } else writer.Dispose(); } catch (Exception xp) { MessageBox.Show(xp.Message); } finally { if (writer != null) { writer.Close(); } } } I have tried this.

  • wcf 4.0 service on IIS7

    - by Jan
    I am currently developing a service with wcf 4.0 (visual studio 2010 RC). When I try my service on the Visual Studio Development Server, it all works perfect. However, when I tree to run my service on IIS7 on a windows 7 machine, the service doesn't work anymore. (I already changed the framework version on my application pool). When I call an operation on the service, like the default operation GetData when I create a service, I get an error. I used the WCF test client to connect to the service. When I call the operation on the service, the Visual Studio Just-In-Time debugger shows the following message: An unhandled win32 exception occured in w3wp.exe The Just-In-Time debugger was launched without necessary security permissions. To debug this proces, the JIT debugger must be run as an administrator. Would you like to debug the proces? As far as I know, I am running Visual Studio as an administrator and this is probably the process that starts the JIT debugger. The only option I have is to debug the W3WP process, which is probably not the right thing to do. What can I do the make the Service to run on IIS7?

  • Red5 Unable to Start Distribution.

    - by Iscariot
    I have installed subclipse, Ant, IvyDE, Red5 Plugin for eclipse, All of the Environmental variables are set and the necessary elements have been added to the path. I am attempting to create a Red5 Distribution by using eclipse, opening Build.xml right clicking dist [default] in the outline window and running as and selecting Ant Builder. Eclipse says that the build is Successful. I first stop the Red5 Service, and then I attempt to run the build I create in eclipse it fails, below are the errors that display in the command prompt. • WCF Callback Faulted - what happens to the session?

    - by RemotecUk
    Just trying to get my head around what can happen when things go wrong with WCF. I have an implementation of my service contract declared with an InstanceContextMode of PerSession... [ServiceBehavior(InstanceContextMode = InstanceContextMode.PerSession, ConcurrencyMode = ConcurrencyMode.Multiple)] The calls happen as follows: My client calls the server and calls GetServerUTC() to return the current UTC time of the server. This is a one way call and the server will call the client back when its ready (trivial in this instance to simply return the current time!) The server calls back to the client and for test purposes in the callback implementation on the client I throw an exception. This goes unhandled in the client (for test purposes) and the client crashes and closes down. On the server I handle the faulted event handler on the ICommunicationObject... obj.Faulted += new EventHandler(EventService_Faulted); Questions... Will this kill off the session for the current connection on the server. I presume I am free to do what I want in this method e.g. logging or something, but should I do anything specific here to terminate the session or will WCF handle this? From a best practise view point what should I do when the callback is faulted? Does it mean "something has happened in your client" and thats the end of that or is there something I a missing here? Additionally, are there any other faulted handlers I should be handling. Ive done a lot of reading on WCF and it seems sort of vague on what to do when something goes wrong. At present I am implementing a State Machine on my client which will manage the connection and determine if a user action can happen dependant on if a connection exists to the server - or is this overkill. Any tips would be really appreciated ;)
