  • setting syntax on in vim with large C file makes complete very slow

    when I have syntax on in a large C file (about 8000) lines the completion ctrl-p and ctrl-n are very slow (more than 20). When I turn syntax off then completion takes less than a second. Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks! EDIT: I figured out a minimal way of reproducing this behaviour: with an empty .vimrc and .vim folder the only changed settings are :set syntax on :set foldmethod=syntax and a large C file to edit, completion (and even general editing) becomes very very slow.

  • Get path to a file via flash

    I'm not a flash dev, but I'm turning to it to try and meet a requirement. I'm to allow a user to select a file on their computer, then pass it to my web application. I know it's not possible to do this using Javascript, hence wanting to use flash. First, is this possible? Second, can I get a pointer on how its done? To clarify: I'm just looking for the path to the file. I don't want to upload it.

  • wordpress path url in js script file

    I added custom script wp_enqueue_script('functions', get_bloginfo('template_url') . '/js/functions.js', 'search', null, false); works great, except in the functions.js i have Reset.style.background = "url('../images/searchfield_clear.png') no-repeat top left"; now this used to work before, until changed to pretty permalinks and .htaccess the folder hierarchy is like: themename/js themename/images (the images and js folder are in themename folder) i tried ../images - ./image - /images normally it should go back 1 level where-ever the js file is located.... i dont want to use full path is there a other way that wordpress can recognize in the javascript file to have the correct path? currently i am just confused what i am doing wrong

    I'm trying to implement a Save State for my iPhone App. I've got a plist file called SaveData.plist and I can read it in via the following NSString *pListPath2 = [bundle pathForResource:@"SaveData" ofType:@"plist"]; NSDictionary *dictionary2 = [[NSDictionary alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:pListPath2]; self.SaveData = dictionary2; [dictionary release]; The Plist file has members SavedGame which is a Boolean to tell the app if there really is valid data here (if they did not exit the app in the middle of a game, I don't want their to be a Restore Point. Score which is an NSNumber. Time which is an NSNumber Playfield which is a 16 element array of NSNumbers How do I access those elements inside of the NSDictionary?

    Hi, I am using Silverlight 3 and I am trying to take a screenshot of esri map. I was able to take a screenshot and save as a file for silverlight controls, but when I try to access Esri map image, I get "Pixel access not allowed" error. I heard this is because of different domain (I am trying to get map image on the client side, and map image is not accessible at server side in my silverlight application). So I am trying to find a function from esri so that I can save the map image as a file. does anybody know how to do this? or any other way around?

  • Unable to edit and save a file on remote machine using notepad++

    I am using Notepad++ 5.3.1. I want to edit and save files on a remote machine(both are running on windows xp). I have granted the access privileges and security permissions in the folder containing the files. When I try to save any of these files after editing in Notepad ++, I get the following error. 'Please check whether if this file is opened in another program' There are no other places where the file has been opened but I still get this error. I was able to edit and save earlier but this error seems to be coming only since yesterday.

    Hello! I have a verly large .bak file (180 GB) which was stored in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and I have to restore it. I first installed Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express and tried to restore it in MS SQL management studio express but it didn't work because there is a size limit. Does anybody know a method how i can restore the file? Its the first time I work with Microsoft SQL and I have no clue what to do. Its really urgend and I would be really helpful for any help!   • PHP: Loop through text file and isolate lines which a specific "starting point"

    Hi everyone, I’m trying to reduce some editing time within some textfiles where there approximately are 10.000 lines of text, but I only need around 200 or some. The text file relies on a almost specific pattern but it deviates from time to time but my “focus” in order to select the right line to keep is, that the line always starts with: z3455 and then have a variable afterwards, e.g.: z3455 http://url.com/data1/data1.1/data1.3/ (342kb) I have an algorithm to capture the URL and its content but now I need some way to loop through the text file, deleting all lines except does that starts with z3455 and then “push” them together so they are listed underneath each other. I’ve tried different approaches for this in PHP but can’t seem to find a correct function. I can “isolate” a specific line number but when it deviates I can’t use this approach fully. I hope that someone can help me, either by providing the code or knocking me in the right direction to how I’ll solve this problem. Thanks in advance Sincerely - Mestika

    When running the following code, the filenames of all files below C:\Test are printed. Why doesn't it print just Hello (n times, depending on how many files are processed)? Does this imply that I cannot rely on shift to reliably assign to $_? Imagine a coworker implements the wtf function and doesn't know that it's called from a File::Find wanted sub.     I have a project that I am breaking up into multiple .exe projects. I still plan on publishing them, using click once, into the same location at the same time, and I would like to use the same config file. I have added the app.config to each project using the "Add link" option in Visual Studio, which is great for debugging, but in production, when I compile each exe project, the app.config is not copied into the "master project"'s bin folder. example: master.exe with master.exe.config master.exe may launch order.exe based on user settings master.exe may launch returns.exe based on user settings master, order, and returns will all reside in the same folder, and should share a single config file.

    I would like to be able to retrieve contents of a .txt file from the internet, and load it in an EditText. I tried using the code on this page: Reading Text File From Server on Android It didn't work, as you might have guessed. I've read on numerous sites about this type of problem, but I can't get anything to work. Someone suggested AndroidHttpClient (http://developer.android.com/reference/android/net/http/AndroidHttpClient.html), but I simply can't find any examples with this. As I'm a newbie in Android programming, I would love if someone could please give me a small example.

  • Images not displaying if using file:///c:/

    I am using jQuery and would like to display the images from my PC, rather than hosting them. I have the following: /* works fine: */ .ui-widget-header .ui-icon { background-image: url(images/ui-icons_2e83ff_256x240.png); } /* does not work: */ .ui-widget-header .ui-icon { background-image: url(file:///C:/ui-icons_2e83ff_256x240.png); } When I put file:///C:/ui-icons_2e83ff_256x240.png in a browser, it displays the actual image beautifully. Both locations are valid image locations. Could this not working be to do with the image being a sprite? Does anyone have any ideas on this one? Many thanks.
