  • Moving media files while preserving itunes rating in itunes

    Hi, I've seen many threads on how to move an entire media collection from one machine to another. I want to organize my mp3 directories, but any copied file loses its reference from itunes library, thus, when I add it to itunes again, it'll have no rating data. I guess it's possible if I manipulate the itunes xml database, but I really don't want to mess with it "by hand".

  • OpenSSL Handshake Failure (14094410) - Erroneous Client Certificate Check from Mobile Phone

    I'm running a proxy server through Apache with modssl, which we're using to proxy POSTs from mobile devices to another internal server. This works successfully for most clients, but requests from a specific phone model (Nokia 2690) are showing a bizarre handshake failure. It looks as though OpenSSL is either requesting (or attempting to read an unsolicited) client certificate from the phone (which is especially bizarre because j2me's kssl implementation doesn't support client certs). I've disabled client certificates with the SSLVerifyClient none directive in both the virtual host conf and the modssl conf. I tried enabling SSLInsecureRenegotiation On on the virtual host, in case it was an issue of the phone's SSL not supporting the new protocol, but to no avail.   • admin can't view non admin user's folder in osx

    I'm trying to add a new keyboard layout for a non admin user on my mac. I had thought that the keyboard layout would be applied for all users when I added it to mine but alas no. I cannot get into the Users\\library\keyboard layouts folder, as it won't let me (but I'm an admin FFS!) I even went into 'get info' and set it to 'everyone read and write' but it still tells me that I don't have permission How on earth can I update the other user's keyboard layout folder?

    I can not run the Terminal.app after rolling back my system from time machine. Mac OS X Version 10.6.2 It displays the following error. "Your are not authorized to run this application" "The administrator has set your shell to an illegal value" After that I have deleted the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist But the same message is displayed. I have repaired all system rights with the DiskUtility but that did not help.

  • varnish demon error: libvarnish.so.1 not found

    In order to try out varnish for an upcoming project I installed it on an ubuntu server using this tutorial: http://varnish-cache.org/wiki/InstallationOnUbuntuDapper The build process worked without any errors, but I cant start the varnish demon. I always get the error message varnishd: error while loading shared libraries: libvarnish.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory But /usr/local/lib/libvarnish.so.1 clearly exists. How can I tell varnish to look in that directory and load the library?

    I have downloaded a Xen virtual machine image from the appscale project, and I am trying to start it up. However once I run the command; xm create -c -f xen.conf The instance immediately crashes and provides no console output. however it produces logs that I have posted below. but this is the error; [2011-03-01 12:34:03 xend.XendDomainInfo 3580] WARNING (XendDomainInfo:1178) Domain has crashed: name=appscale-1.4b id=10. I have managed to mount the root.img file locally and verify that it is actually an ext3 file system.     i am using pcap library to sniff some packets, change their tcp data , and then inject my packet on the network. my question is: if i changed in the tcp data, should i recalculate the length field in the tcp header? should i also change the checksum? i read in a page on how to create raw sockets that if you set the tcp_checksum to 0, the kernel will automatically calculate it and fill it, is this true for windows machines also?

    Back in the day, with older iPods, you could copy music onto them using Winamp's Music Library. I heard that newer iPods and iPhones have all sort of encryption that prevents this from being fully functional. I'm looking to buy a new iPod soon, and would really like to avoid installing (or at least keeping) a copy of iTunes on my PC. Are solutions still available through WinAmp? Other software? What iPod/iPhone models would work better?

    Is it possible in IIS 6 to administrate users as in IIS 7 (e.g. as described here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731783%28v=ws.10%29.aspx)? In IIS7 you can define users within the ASP.NET group with click on .NET users and it automatically creates a ms sql server db in background in the website directory. So far I didn't found anything about the issue, most forum questions are about how to migrate asp.net sites from IIS6 to IIS7.

  • Running 32bit eclipse on 64bit windows.

    I am trying to use a 32bit installation of eclipse on my 64bit windows machine. I have eclipse extracted to my C: Drive and Java installed in ProgramFiles(x86) When I go to start eclipse I get the error:Failed to load the JNI shared Library"C:Program Files(x86)\Java\jre6\bin\jvm.dll" I looked and the file is not there. I am setting something up wrong?Just did a fresh install of Java before trying to run eclipse.

  • How to change the default domain controller when querying AD in a different site?

    We have 2 different locations, and at both site we have multiple domain controllers (Win2008). In our application we use Serverless Binding to execute our LDAP queries http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms677945(v=vs.85).aspx. If we look at de DnsHostName of the LDAP://RootDse on site B we always get the default domain controller of site A. Therefor all LDAP queries go much slower. Is there a way to change the default domain controller per site ?

  • some flash applications does not work on ubuntu (9.10)

What am I missing?   • Installing a bundle for TextMate

    I've downloaded the 30 day trial version of TextMate and wanted to use a plugin for coffeescript. The instructions for installing the plugin say to go to this directory cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/TextMate/Bundles (Textmate 1) Once I changed into the TextMate directory and started looking for Bundles by doing ls it only showed TextMate.pid In other words, no Bundles directory.... Once I was in the Bundles directory, I'm supposed to do git clone git://github.com/jashkenas/coffee-script-tmbundle CoffeeScriptBundle.tmbundle but didn't want to try that without first being in the Bundles directory.

  • Does anyone know a way to interact with HP OV(NNM) with python, perl or bash?

    Do anyone know if there is out there any API/library to access NNM database from perl or python? We have a NNM 7.53 which give us access to its data with its java based applet through http. And of course through the 'ovw' GUI interface. I've tried to use Mechanize and selenium2(webdriver) to automatize some checks. The pourpose is to integrate it with our other monitoring services on our "general master console". Many thanks. Marc
