• Embedding existing page in a CakePHP site

  We have an existing PHP page (from an earlier project) which could be described as cryptic and ancient. It basically displays a form, catches the input and runs an external application to process the input and then pipes the output to the user. I would really like not to modify this file any more than is required. Would there be an easy way to just make this file magically work by copying it to some location in the CakePHP's directory and have it receive $POST etc. as usual?

  Currently we use log4net and create a new folder (usually below C:) with write and create access rights for the worker process user. Is there perhaps a standard windows folder we should or could be using such as LOCALAPPDATA? I'm guessing that LOCALAPPDATA is a bad choice in the general case because IIS users tend to be non-interactive users and thus I don't think they have the usual user folder structrues available.

• Building 64bit Qt on 32bit Xp computer

  I'm trying to build Qt in a shared 64 bit mode on my 32bit XP system. I can configure the QMake and start the 64bit build. The problem is that when the build starts, the first thing that happens in that the process builds ui, moc and rcc utility compilers in 64 bit mode, then tries to run them on my 32bit machine. Does anyone know how to configure the build so that it does not build those compilers first?

One contains an image which resizes with the browser resizing. The image has a min-width of 100px. Can anyone tell me why when put into a mobile sized width it doesn't drop down?   Hi I would like to zip a bunch of files (.exe and .dll) before I overwrite them with the new build. Is there a simple way to zip files without using some sort of dll? Just creating a folder with the build number / date time stamp will also work great. If I do this: StreamReader reader = process.StandardOutput; reader.ReadToEnd(); Is it guaranteed to get the last thing flushed out to the program's STDOUT in its entirety? • rails server stuck in close_wait and requires a re-start once in a while

  I have a rails webapp which internally connects to another request server. At times , ruby process gets stuck in close_wait state and stop responding and needs a restart. i guess this happens only when the request server which the rails app connects to is restarted. But am not completely sure of it. Any help appreciated on how should i go about debugging this issue. Thanks.
