  I'm using Google Maps v3. I really like the InfoWindows found in Bing, as opposed to Google. • How to hide a Mono application on the OSX Dock

  I have a Mono application that should not show on the dock, but will occasionally show a window. I want neither menu bar nor dock icon to show for this application. I have my application wrapped in an app bundle, and my info.plist file has the LSUIElement set to "1". This does not seem to be hiding my application from the Dock. I have tried also calling osascript with the following info in a Process.Start: osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to set visible of process "myapp" to false' This returns a System Event error code: -10006. Thus far, I've had no luck finding out what that means. I've also tried all the standard Hide() and Visibility = false stuff inside Mono. Anyone found a workaround for this, or have an idea a direction I can look in? For the most part, working in Mono has been straightforward .Net coding, but this has me stumped.

I attempted to use something like this: $("a").click(function() { location.reload(); }); However, this will reload the page without following the link (something like a href="#div02"). How do I get it to both follow the link and reload the page?

• Custom realm/starting Tomcat 6.0 from Netbeans 6.8/first HTTP request

  I'm using NetBeans 6.8 and Tomcat 6.0.xx. I've created a custom realm and updated the NetBeans project build.xml to deploy the realm to Tomcat. When I debug the project, NetBeans starts the Tomcat server and makes an initial HTTP GET request for 'manager/list'. Tomcat graciously hands this request off to my custom realm for authentication. The request gets denied and NetBeans displays the following error in the output window: (note: error is displayed after NetBeans gets access denied) Access to Tomcat server has not been authorized. Set the correct username and password with the "manager" role in the Tomcat customizer in the Server Manager. Do I have something incorrectly configured? How do I prevent NetBeans from issuing this initial request? Thanks, Drew

  Hi, I'm trying to run a batch file as admin. I found that I can use runas command which corresponds sudo command in Linux I think. I tried runas /noprofile /user:computername\adminuser "blah.bat start" But it gives an error, saying : Logon failure: user account restriction.. (msdos window doesn't allow me to coppy damn thing I hate dos anyway .. ) is there anyway, I can run this batch file as admin, right click doesn't work me because I can't give any parameter to it. Any help, I really really apreciated that.

  Hi, I am trying to send database mail when error occurs inside the transaction.My setup for dbo.sp_send_dbmail is correct , when I execute the proc I do get an email within 1 min. However when I try to use dbo.sp_send_dbmail inside another proc within transactions than I do not get the email. Sql server does show in the result window that "Mail queued" but I never receive it.   So if I was to take a an access form, and embed either an excel spreadsheet into it, or a powerpoint slide/pres, how would I reference it in VBA code? So I know I have to set the libraries, name the frame of the OLE object, and use applicable syntax to whatever I want to do, with whatever I stick in the form, however the only things I have ever done with excel and/or powerpoint is automate the opening of a seperate window/application from access, not within the access form....so I am not sure?? if I said its a new Excel.Application, then set xls = to (the ss in the file, and not some file path of another excel file somewhere)? does that make sense?

  Hi, I've seen this error with different variations on discussion forums but being a non programmer I'm not sure how to progress this. Basically I have code which I found to help me with changing the background colors of cells on a grouped uitableview. The code introduced a line as such: CGContextAddArcToPoint(c, minx, miny, midx, miny, ROUND_SIZE); This gave an error indicated that it wasn't declared, so I added to my .h file the following under import uikit: #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> #define ROUND_SIZE 10 Now it shows that I have an error: Command/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/gcc-4.2 failed with exit code 1 iphone Some discussions talk about libraries but because I don't have a programming background I don't understand what to do. I also see that some people show a log output but I'm not sure where that comes from as I don't get any debug windows because I'm guessing it doesn't get that far. I simply click 'Build and Go' and I get this error in the Message window. Any thoughts?

  I've been fighting my way through the process of migrating a (previously self-hosted) WCF application to IIS7 (I've never used IIS before and I realise that this is a very simplistic question but I failed to google/SO the answer so far). My service is hosted at http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/SampleWebsite/Service.svc but when I access it with ?wsdl all the references that should read http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/ are actually set to the window machine's local network name (i.e. http://localpc3/). I've tried using the WCF tool to add the external IP address to the base address section under the service I'm configuring as well as a number of setting inside IIS but I can't seem to track down the correct place. Where do I set this? IIS manager, web.config, somewhere else?

• null object reference in ScrollPane/endDrag() when scrollDrag=true

  Hello there. In my flash application, I've got multiple windows which use Scrollpanes. The scrollDrag property is set to true on these because I want that functionality. If I close (within my application) one of these 'windows' and open another, I seem to get a whole lot of this error showing up in my logs: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at fl.containers::ScrollPane/endDrag() Sometimes I get thousands of these, which I'm guessing is probably slowing my app down a bit, but otherwise is not causing a problem. Looking through the adobe code for scrollpane, endDrag is really simple: protected function endDrag(event:MouseEvent):void { stage.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, doDrag); } The stage var is the only thing that could be null here. The only thing I can think to do is set scrollDrag=false before the window in my application closes so that nothing is listening for the event. Any other suggestions?

  In VS2008, I have a web-site project. When I use find in files and search for a string, the find results window will list every occurence twice. What could be causing this? • Cropping an image, saving output to a new file and get crop coordinates

  I'm interfacing with a service that allows you to upload an image, and also upload coordinates of a thumbnail of that image. I'm thinking that (if there isn't some sort of prefab Activity specifically for this) that I can use Android's crop utility. The only problem is that I can't overwrite the original file, the crop window needs to have a custom message (instead of "crop image"), and I'll need the coordinates of the crop. Is this possible? Is there another way to do this without writing my own Activity?

• WCF - WebReferences not working

  At the client end, I have generated a Proxy using SvcUtil.exe and it is working fine. Then I have added a WebReference to the client assembly and calling the same method. But it is not working. My program is running in console mode and the method is suppose to return a string. It is not returning the string. I just see a blank console window. No exception is thrown. And after setting a debug point on the method call I see that, program is halted on the method call for ever. What should I look for to solve the problem? I am using VS2005. And adding the webReference by right-clicking the client project and then clicking "Add Web Reference" pop-up menu.

In the window of other user, I want to retrieve the appended user name from that string. How do I do that? The message sent by the user is as follows : final_msg = user_name + ": " + user_message Hence I want to know how to retrieve the user_name string only. Is there a function that can retrieve a substring upto the first ":"? I dont want to use final_msg.split(":"), because there is a possiblity that the user_message contains ":", which will then give me an array of strings.

• Detecting a Key Press Squashed by Another Application

  I have a WPF application I'm planning to use as an overlay for a DirectX game (specifically Bad Company 2). I'm using WM_KEYBOARD_LL hook to detect KeyDown events so I can bring my app to the foreground when a specific button is pressed. This works perfectly except for when the game is running (I've also noticed this problem with Window's "Chess Titans" so it may be a DirectX thing). As far as I can work out, when the game detects a keyboard press, it "eats" the event and doesn't pass the CallNextHookEx() method like it should, which would allow the key press message to be moved along to the next application in the queue. I'm wondering if there's any sort of work-around to this? It seems kind of unfair that a single application can just willy-nilly eat up messages like that.   Hello, I'm using Data Pump to export/import data, one requirement is to import data to a sql file. The OS is window. I made the follow export : expdp system/password directory=dpump_dir dumpfile=tablesdump.dmp content=DATA_ONLY tables=user.tablename and it works, I can see the file TABLESDUMP.DMP in the directory path. then when I tried to import it to a sql file: impdp system/password directory=dpump_dir dumpfile=tablesdump.dmp sqlfile=tables_export.sql the log show : ..... ORA-31655 no data or metadata objects selected for job ..... and the sql file is created empty in the directory path. I'm not DBA, I'm a Java developer , Can you help me? Thks

• Unable to modify git bash Windows shortcut

  Under Windows 7 I'd like to change the settings for the Git Bash Here shell extension command window, e.g. width, height and font. But when I do this, I get an error "Unable to modify the shortcut". I can modify the shortcut for Git Bash in the Start menu by using "Run as administrator..." This works, but only for Bash windows opened from the Start menu. It doesn't work for the "Git Bash Here" shell extension and there's no "Run as administrator..." option on right-click context menu. How do you do it?

(I don't know if 'Start menu' is the correct name or not, what I mean is the area above 'All Programs').   i am using the following code to read the details from a network folder which is restricted for only one user shell("net use q: \\serveryname\foldername /user:admin pwrd", AppWinStyle.Hide, True, 10000) Process.Start(path) shell("net use q: /delete") when i run this to open any pdf or jpg or any other files except word/excel/powerpoint, everything is working fine. but the problem comes only when i access a word file. in the step one, i am giving permission to access the word file. in the step two, word file is open. in the third, i am deleting the q drive. the problem is the word file is still open. so i am getting a dos window, saying that "some connections of still connected or searching some folders, do you want to force disconnect" please help.... how to access a word file (editable files) providing user name and password from the code and at the same time he shoud not have access to any other folders directly.

So I hit Ctrl+Tab instead.
