  • How can I plot a radius of all reachable points with pathfinding for a Mob (XNA)?

    I am designing a tactical turn based game. The maps are 2d, but do have varying level-layers and blocking objects/terrain. I'm looking for an algorithm for pathfinding which will allow me to show an opaque shape representing all of the possible max-distance pixels that a mob can move to, knowing the mob's max pixel distance. Any thoughts on this, or do I just need to write a good pathfinding algorithm and use it to find the cutoff points for any direction in which an obstacle exists?

  • configure postfix to send as different domains

    I have postfix configured to receive mail for multiple domains. The primary domain goes through a standard postfix setup, whereas a secondary domain is handed by a /etc/postfix/virtual.db file which maps addresses for the secondary domain to other unix users. Incoming mail works perfectly, but when I send mail as users on the secondary domain, the mail receiver still sees it as coming from [unix username]@[primarydomain].net. Can anyone help me figure out how to configure the virtual postfix domain to send mail through the same domain it receives it as?

    I have my domain say "example.com" (java, GlassFish Web Server) Now I have 3 application.. say A,B,C. Now what I want is, if user hit a.example.com OR example.com/X then A application should get invoked. similarly for B and C. b.example.com or example.com/B, c.example.com or example.com/C. like mail.google.com news.google.com. It knows the interface and all 3 implementations. I want some way of letting the class user say in which harvester it wants to use. And in the code select that implementation, without a switch-case implementation. Can reflection save my day?     I have a Joomla site with my gmail account (google apps) being used as the SMTP server for sending mails. I also have a newsletter component on this site. I tried sending newsletter to all my subscribers and I noticed that the SMTP server could not be connected to. I then checked the emails of my company and noticed that the one I used to set it up was suspended. I cannot really explain why Google suspended the email account. Please could anyone tell me if Google saw the mails that were being sent as spam.

  • "The connection has timed out" - Please help!

    I recently installed a fresh Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a desktop, and the installation itself was successful (other than 'grub rescue' issue that I encountered but fixed) but this connection problem is really giving me a headache. Symptoms: 1. When I open the FireFox browser and try to connect to a website, it just hangs for a while saying "Connecting..." but eventually loads an error page "The connection has timed out". 2. It's not a browser problem (and I tried setting ipv6 thing to "true" at about:config) because running "sudo apt-get install [some-random-package]" at terminal fails ("E: Unable to locate package [package]") too. All other operations that need internet access are not working. 3. I certainly see a wired network (called "eth1") at the Network Manager, and it says "Connection Established" after disconnecting and then connecting again. I have tried almost everything that could be found from google search results still no luck. Their problems slightly differ from mine or the solutions just don't work. By the way it didn't have internet access when installing Ubuntu 12.04. (I ignored the message that I need internet to install Ubuntu) Could this be a problem? I'm sorry I don't remember if internet worked or not on the previous version of Ubuntu. :( I would really appreciate your help... I don't even know what more to do if this fails too.. Thanks!!   • Email with extra '.com' behind sender email address

    Currently I had a situation where I sent an email to [email protected], but when I receive mail from [email protected], it showed as [email protected], with extra '.com' behind the email address, this just happen within this week. Before this, I didn't change any setting, currently I am using Outlook 2010. When I checked the email in webmail, it also showed it as [email protected]. It seem that it has nothing to do with Outlook. However, I also tried on Thunderbird 16.0.1, but still the problem is the same. Has anyone experienced this before? Is the problem caused by the sender or receiver?   • How do I find out the Mac Address Firefox submits for Geolocation?

    I moved, but have the same router and cable box. Now when I visit Google Maps it still shows my old location. I went to the SkyhookWireless update page to update my Mac Address with my new location. The process is you put in your Mac address and it shows you the current location, and then you adjust that location and submit it. When I got the Mac Address from the status page on my router Skyhook reported that location as in Pakistan, which isn't even the correct continent (as my old or new address). I tried every other Mac address I could come up with: The cable router, the Wireless router's other Mac address, my PC's Mac address, etc. and none of them reported any location on the Skyhook page. So I am guessing that there is another Mac address, or some other bit of information that is used by Firefox when it reports to Google Maps my current location. Now that you have the back story, how do I find the Mac address or whatever information it is that Firefox (or other browsers) use to determine my Geolocation? Everything I have read online is rather vague. The next option I am considering is hooking a logging proxy onto Firefox and seeing what data it sends, but I'd rather find an easier method.   • Windows 7 logon script net use fails

    Our network PCs currently consists of Windows XP Professional on a mixed 2008/2003 domain, with exception to one machine, which is a new Windows 7 PC we have bought for testing before we deploy the operating system. But we have discovered a problem with our logon script which automatically maps network drives for our users. The logon scripts are done via User GPOs, but the script itself is just a .cmd file using net use. The permissions are perfectly fine, as the same user can log on to a Windows XP machine and get their drives mapped without problem, but this one drive mapping constantly fails. This is repeatable using the net use command, and fails every time - it actually prompts the user for a username and password when executed interactively, yet if we enter \\server\share from a run dialog, the contents of the network share appear and are accessible without any further authentication. The Windows 7 PC (just like the XP systems) are domain members and the account being used is a domain account, which does have access to the share (as stated, it works fine on XP). I fail to understand what is happening here, as other shares on the server get mapped on the Windows 7 system. More info: The effective permissions of the share in question only grant the user 'list' permission on the root directory, the share permissions are 'everyone,full control'. I've created a new share with the same permissions just to test if it was down to the 'list' permissions on the root directory, but the Windows 7 machine maps this one fine.

    We have a blog - which is current spread to 9 pages, every page has a unique title - page 1, page 2, page 3 and so on. Also, as it's a blog, every page has unique 10 listing entry on one page. Is rel="prev" and rel="next" can be safely ignored as all these are listing and not content pages of article. What I read in all through Google Search is that rel="next" and rel="prev" should be applicable on where the content is spread across multiple pages. But - as it's a blog, it has blog listings and every listing has unique content This is the blog: http://www.mycarhelpline.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&view=latest&Itemid=91. May recommend, if by ignoring rel="next" and rel="prev" - are we inviting Google to treat the blog listing pages as duplicate.

    I want to add 'www' in front of a subdomain e.g. www.subdomain.domain.com My blogs are hosted on Blogger and am using GoDaddy for having custom domains. I have HOST @ entries for 'domain' pointing specified by blogger. The following subsdomains are configured by adding CNAME alias as follows : subdomain -> ghs.google.com www -> ghs.google.com For domain (including www.domain) I have one blog. For subdomain, I am pointing it to seperate blog using above entries and 'subdomain.domain.com' works fine. I read articles on this issue and tried adding following CNAME entry but no luck : www.subdomain -> subdomain.domain.com How do I make 'www.subdomain.domain.com' work ?

    Hi, I have a wordpress blog in http://suportrecerca.barcelonamedia.org/blog/ , and since I can no longer use our company servers for my blog I've had to move it to blog.joanmarcriera.es Google had my old blog well indexed and many people is landing to my old blog. I want to redirect this people to my new blog in a nice way, like a 5 seconds delay with some information or something. Any suggestions? I also would like to let google index the old blog like usual if it's possible. Thanks.
