• getUserPrincipal() in JCIFS / Lan-Manager authentitation level setting in Windows 2k8

  I have to find out in which exact format JCIFS stores the user principal in the "getUserPrincipal()" property. Therefor i created a test Environment like this: Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller Domain named "MYDOMAIN" Many Testusers in Active Directory Tomcat Application Server with my Web Application (which simply reads the user Principal and displays its values). The user should be logged in to the web-application with SSO therefor i need the format that jcifs is using to store the user. (For example user@MYDOMAIN or MYDOMAIN\user...) I tested the Authentication with other SSO frameworks with Kerberos Method and it works as expected. I'm now trying to use SSO through the NTLMHttpFilter of JCIFS. It is stated there, that i have to change the Group policy "Networkaccess: lan-manager authentication level" to respond to NTLMv1 request. I have done this, but it's still not working. So what i also have to configure is the same policy on the client computer. I have to change the policy, so that the client computer sends NTLMv1. But it is always sending NTLMv2 tokens. The problem now is that i'm somehow not able to change this setting. (I already was before) because the dropdown box to choose the authentication method is "greyed out". edit: just to make this clear, this dialog is on the client-side in the "local-security policies" As you can see from this screenshot, the chosen method is "Only send NTLMv2 responses" which is the wrong setting and i'm pretty sure that this is causing the error above. My question is now, why can't i change this setting? Why is it greyd out?

• JBoss thrown error looking up local address when starting

  Hello im installing a fresh Jboss 5.1 in a Centos 5.5 machine. I dont have Apache installed. After that i can run Jboss only from 127.0.0.1:8080 but using localhost:8080 doesnt work. I think its a centos configuration problem but im a total newbye managing ports and maybe firewalls, so what do you think could be the problem?

  Whilst building a Windows Phone 7 app. using the MVVM pattern we've struggled to get to grips with a pattern or technique to centralise navigation logic that will fit with MVVM. To give an example, everytime the app. calls our web service we check that the logon token we've assigned the app. earlier hasn't expired. We always return some status to the phone from the web service and one of those might be Enum.AuthenticationExpired. If we receive that I'd imagine we'd alert the user and navigate back to the login screen. (this is one of many examples of status we might receive) Now, wanting to keep things DRY, that sort of logic feels like it should be in one place. Therein lies my question. How should I go about modelling navigation that relies on (essentially) switch or if statements to tell us where to navigate to next without repeating that in every view. Are there recognised patterns or techniques that someone could recommend? Thanks

• why am I stuck on "Initiating update" when deploying to google

  I've have not had any trouble deploying through eclipse until now. I'm guessing it might have to do with all the stuff I've added today a folder of .pdf and .tex files (in war/web-inf directory) a bit of JDO stuff and a servlet that reads the files in the directory and indexes them into the JDO Is there any way to find out what exactly is the problem? • What are typical server to client communication patterns?

  What are the usual patterns for bidirectional communication between a client and a server in a wlan environment. How is it possible for the server to push data to a mobile client over wlan after a connection has been established. Lets say I have a webservice running on a server and the moblie cients in the wlan can use this webservice. Now the question is how can the server invoke methods at the client, or directly send data to the client. How is this handled usually? I would apriciate some links to read about this topic.   I am attempting to use a .gitignore file with negated patterns (lines starting with !), but it's not working the way I expect. As a minimal example, I have the folllowing directory structure: C:/gittest -- .gitignore -- aaa/ -- bbb/ -- file.txt -- ccc/ -- otherfile.txt and in my gitignore file, I have this: aaa/ !aaa/ccc/ My understanding (based on this: http://ftp.sunet.se/pub//Linux/kernel.org/software/scm/git/docs/gitignore.html) is that the file aaa/ccc/otherfile.txt should not be ignored, but in fact git is ignoring everything under aaa. Am I misunderstanding this sentence: "An optional prefix ! which negates the pattern; any matching file excluded by a previous pattern will become included again."? BTW, this is on Windows with msysgit 1.7.0.2.

  Hi All, I need to find the most efficient way of matching multiple regular expressions on a single block of text. To give an example of what I need, consider a block of text: "Hello World what a beautiful day" I want to replace Hello with "Bye" and "World" with Universe. I can always do this in a loop ofcourse, using something like String.replace functions availiable in various languages. However, I could have a huge block of text with multiple string patterns, that I need to match and replace. I was wondering if I can use Regular Expressions to do this efficiently or do I have to use a Parser like LALR. I need to do this in JavaScript, so if anyone knows tools that can get it done, it would be appreciated.

Any ideas about what's wrong with the code would be helpful.   i've read about design patterns and it seems that there are a lot of different design patterns to use. i wonder if there are some books that acts like a reference. "you want to build a framework, then consider this, this and this pattern". also giving some examples. then jumps to another implementation eg. search engine and gives some patterns and concrete examples to use. in this way you learn about the weakness and strength about each pattern and where they will fit, instead of just reading about every design pattern decoupled from each other. are there good "reference sheets" or other tutorials good for a beginner at this? thanks

The problem is, not all team members have enough skills to develop asp.net apps let's say using MVP pattern. So maybe this question is addressed to Team leads, or experienced devs. Did you dealt with this kind of situation, and if so what was your solution.   Hi, There is a frequent occurence of FULL GC in our system. We are using Java application running on Tomcat server. Our application is running using internal load balancer setup. We are seeing lot of Full GC's in the server logs due to which the application is hung and Proxy errors are occured. • What are the differences between MVP, Presentation Model, MVVM and MVC?

  I have a pretty good idea how each of these patterns work some of the minor differences between them, but are they really all that different from each other? It seems to me that the Presenter, Presentation Model, ViewModel and Controller are essentially the same concept. Why couldn't I classify all of these concepts as controllers? I feel like it might simplify the entire idea a great deal. Can anyone give a clear description of their differences? I want to clarify that I do understand how the patterns work, and have implemented most of them in one technology or another. What I am really looking for is someone's experience with one of these patterns, and why they would not consider their ViewModel a controller for instance.

• Django: Why Doesn't the Current URL Match any Patterns in urls.py

  I've found a few questions here related to my issue, but I haven't found anything that has helped me resolve my issue. I'm using Python 2.7.5 and Django 1.8.dev20140627143448. I have a view that's interacting with my database to delete objects, and it takes two arguments in addition to a request: def delete_data_item(request, dataclass_id, dataitem_id): form = AddDataItemForm(request.POST) data_set = get_object_or_404(DataClass, pk=dataclass_id) context = {'data_set': data_set, 'form': form} data_item = get_object_or_404(DataItem, pk=dataitem_id) data_item.delete() data_set.save() return HttpResponseRedirect(reverse('detail', args=(dataclass_id,))) The URL in myapp.urls.py looks something like this: url(r'^(?P<dataclass_id>[0-9]+)/(?P<dataitem_id>[0-9]+)/delete_data_item/$', views.delete_data_item, name='delete_data_item') and the portion of my template relevant to the view is: <a href="{% url 'delete_data_item' data_set.id data_item.id %}">DELETE</a> Whenever I click on the DELETE link, django tells me that the request URL: http://127.0.0.1:8000/myapp/5/%7B%%20url%20'delete_data_item'%20data_set.id%20data_item.id%20%%7D doesn't match any of my URL patterns. What am I missing? The URL on which the DELETE links exist is myapp/(<dataclass_id>[0-9]+)/

  Hello, this questions may be stupid, but i dont really see how to resolve it : lest say that in my application, i have a user. This user edit his profile, and need to edit his avatar. Where should i store the avatar file? first of all i was saving all the files in src\main\webapp\resources , but each time i redeploy that folder empties. so i dedide to place in an other location : c:\wwwdir\resources, but i can't link local resources from remote pages, so i was not able to display any avatar . any idea? advise? link?

  I seem to be having an issue with Jax-WS and Jax-b playing nicely together. I need to consume a web-service, which has a predefined WSDL. When executing the generated client I am receiving the following error: javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: javax.xml.bind.MarshalException - with linked exception: [com.sun.istack.SAXException2: unable to marshal type "java.lang.String" as an element because it is missing an @XmlRootElement annotation] This started occurring when I used an external custom binding file to map needlessly complex types to java.lang.string. Finally, one other thing I tried was setting a globalBinding definition: <globalBindings generateValueClass="false"></globalBindings> This caused the server to through an argument mismatch exception since the Soap Message was using xs:string xml types instead of passing the defined complex types, so I abandoned that idea. Any insight into what is causing the MarshalException or how to go about solving the issue of calling the webservice and mapping these objects more easily, is greatly appreciated. I've been searching for days and I sadly think I am stumped.

  In short I'm creating a 2D mmorpg and unlike my last "mmo" I started developing I want to make sure that this one will scale well and work well when I want to add new in-game features or modify existing ones. With my last attempt with an avatar chat within the first few thousand lines of code and just getting basic features added into the game I seen my code quality lowering and my ability to add new features or modify old ones was getting lower too as I added more features in. It turned into one big mess that some how ran, lol. This time I really need to buckle down and find a design that will allow me to create a game framework that will be easy to add and remove features (aka things like playing mini-games within my world or a mail system or buddy list or a new public area with interactive items). I'm thinking that maybe a component based approach MIGHT be what I'm looking for but I'm really not sure. I have read documents on mmorpg design and 2d game engine architecture but nothing really explained a way of designing a game framework that will basically let me "plug-in" new features into the main game and use the resources of the main game without changing much within my 'main game code'. Hope someone understands what I mean, any help will is appreciated.
