• Eclipse Galileo won't start after OS X update to 10.6.3

  Hi All, I have just updated os x to 10.6.3 and no Eclipse won't start the logs show the following error, but I can't figure it out. • Extracting pair member in lambda expressions and template typedef idiom

  Hi, I have some complex types here so I decided to use nifty trick to have typedef on templated types. Then I have a class some_container that has a container as a member. Container is a vector of pairs composed of element and vector. I want to write std::find_if algorithm with lambda expression to find element that have certain value. To get the value I have to call first on pair and then get value from element. Below my std::find_if there is normal loop that does the trick. My lambda fails to compile. How to access value inside element which is inside pair? • Interfacing Android Nexus One with Arduino + BlueSmirf

  I'm a bit new to all of this, so bear with me - I'd really appreciate your help. I am trying to link the Android Nexus One with an arduino (Duemilanove) that is connected to a BlueSmirf. I have a program that is simply outputting the string "Hello Bluetooth" to whatever device the BlueSmirf is connected to. The trouble is with my android code. I can connect to the device with android, but when I look at the log it is not displaying "Hello Bluetooth".   I am attempting to get process information by using the HP-UX C/C++ library. After scouring the internet, I have discovered that HP-UX has the pstat.h header file which allows programmers to retrieve the process information. After attempting to understand code from the internet hp website, I attempted to create a little test sample to comprehend what the code does. I attempted to use example 3, however, I ran into several issues. So here's the question(s) for clarity: 1. Why can't printf("%s", pst[i].pst_ucomm); handle strings? 2. Why can't I iterate over the processes in the system? Any help is greatly appreciated.

• Unwanted SDL_QUIT Event on mouseclick.

  I'm having a slight problem with my SDL/Opengl code, specifically, when i try to do something on a mousebuttondown event, the program sends an sdl_quit event to the stack, closing my application. I know this because I can make the program work (sans the ability to quit out of it :| ) by checking for SDL_QUIT during my event loop, and making it do nothing, rather than quitting the application. If anyone could help make my program work, while retaining the ability to, well, close it, it'd be much appreciated. • Android 2.1 GoogleMaps ItemizedOverlay ConcurrentModificationException

  Hi, I cannot figure out the origin of the ConcurrentModificationException. In my activity I'm calling updateMapOverlay(). I'm also calling updateMapOverlay() inside another Thread (a TimerTask) that is invoked on regular intervals. I'm taking the appropriate locks when invoking updateMapOverlay() from both the threads. Is this problem being caused because I'm invoking updateMapOverlay from inside a non-UI thread (i.e., TimerTask).   hi all i am developing an application which uses sqlite db for storing records. • Strange crashes when using MPMoviePlayerController in iPad and iPad simulator with iOS 4.2.

  I'm getting crashes when trying to play a movie using MPMoviePlayerController on the iPad and in the iPad simulator using iOS 4.2. I am building using xcode 3.2.5 and the 4.2 SDK. When running on an iPad using iOS 3.2 or in the iPad simulator 3.2, the same code works fine, but on an iPad running 4.2 or in the iPad simulator 4.2, it crashes. The crash is due to an exception for calling an unknown selector down somewhere deep in the cocoa libraries, something tries to call a selector called "setHitRectInsets:" on a UIButton object. Also, the crash happens after control has returned to the main event loop. Anybody have any idea what might be causing this?   I'm populating select box options via jquery and json but I'm not sure how to address multiple instances of the same chained select boxes within my form. Because the select boxes are only rendered when needed some records will have ten sets of chained select boxes and others will only need one. How does one generate unique selects to support the auto population of secondary select options?   I am looking for best practices conforming to the MVC design pattern. My Entities have the following relationship. tblPortal PortalId PrortalName tblPortalAlias AliasId PortalId HttpAlias Each Portal can have many PortalAlias. I want to Add a New Portal and then Add the associated PortalAlias. I am confused on how I should structure the Views and how I should present the Views to the user.   Is there any way to Linkify a specific TextView that is contained within a ListView? I tried using android:autoLink="all" but that didn't work. I was getting an out of context error. Important also to note: the ListView is my second view in the ViewFlipper. I have also tried: View mItemView = mAdapter.getView(2, null, null); TextView infoText = (TextView) mItemView.findViewById(R.id.rowText2); Linkify.addLinks(infoText, Linkify.ALL); Right after the adapter was bound to the ListView and the View was switched. No luck.   I'm trying to zoom in on a Google MapView on step in the oncreateMethod of my Activity. Everytime I try to zoom the map via the mapController I get an IllegalArgumentException: 04-15 10:16:51.012: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(528): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.innomos.couponimo.android.client/com.innomos.couponimo.android.client.ui.showstores.StoreMap}: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: width and height must be > 0 This Exception is thrown if I call the zoomOut or zoomIn function of MapController. Sadly the zoomIn function I'm using does not take any arguments.   The developer documentation has seemed to have failed me here. I can create a static widget without thinking, I can even create a widget like the analogue clock widget that will update itself, however, I can not for the life of me figure out how to create a widget that reacts to when a user clicks on it. So I made my sample activity class a simple activity that when created, would create a mediaplayer object, and start it (it wouldn't ever release the object, so it would eventually crash, here is it's code: @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); MediaPlayer mp = MediaPlayer.create(getApplicationContext(), R.raw.sound); mp.start(); } However, when I added the widget to the home screen, and clicked on it, nothing played, in fact, nothing played when I set the update timer to just a few hundred milliseconds (in the appwidget provider xml file). Furthermore, I set break points and found out that not only was it never reaching the activity, but no break points I set would ever get triggered. (I still haven't figured out why that is), however, logcat seemed to indicate that the activity class file was being run. So, is there anything I can do to get an appwidget to respond to a click? As the onClickPendingIntent() method is the closest I have found to a onClick type of method. Thank you very much.

  I'm trying to write a user control that has an ItemsControl, the ItemsTemplate of which contains a TextBox that will allow for TwoWay binding. However, I must be making a mistake somewhere in my code, because the binding only appears to work as if Mode=OneWay. • Partial view links not working in Fire Fox

  I have a MVC4 asp.net application, I have two layouts a main layout for the main page and a second layout for the nested pages. The problem I have is with the second layout, on this layout I call a partial view which has my navigation links. In IE the navigation menu displays fine and when each item is clicked it navigates as expected. However in FF when the page renders the navigation bar is displayed but it has no 'click functionality' if you will its as if its simply text.   Hi, I wanted a non recursive approach to the problem of generating combination of certain set of characters or numbers. So, given a subset k of numbers n, generate all the possible combination n!/k!(n-k)! The recursive method would give a combination, given the previous one combination. A non recursive method would generate a combination of a given value of loop index i. I approached the problem with this code: Tested with n = 4 and k = 3, and it works, but if I change k to a number 3 it does not work. I have an existing Invoice entity (which I create on a separate form) and then I have a LogHours view that I'd like to use to save InvoiceLog's, which are child entities of Invoice.
