I want a free application monitor that when detects certain keywords on window title by example, it closes the application (or prevents that it opens/install).
Nice extra will be if the program log the application activity too and internet sites accessed by any browser.
Thank you very much!
PS:
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate.
I am using irrsi as my irc cilent on ubuntu
I have entered "/join #android-dev" in my command window.
But I am getting this error message:
22:05 -!- #android-dev Cannot join channel (+r) - you need to be identified
with services
Can you please tell me how can I fix it?
Thank you.
When I open a new windows explorer window, I would like the 'Folders' sections on the left to be collapsed by default, so that the 'Favorite Links' section has maximum room.
How do I accomplish this?
Outlook 2007 is slow to load messages...Why is this, and what can I do to speed it up?
Currently have about 850 messages in the Inbox folder, and the preview pane turned off, thus I view messages by double-clicking. This is where it gets slow, when I double click, it brings up a new window with everything but the actual message loaded, which then takes several more seconds to appear.
Solutions?
Thanks!

Spaces rarely returns focus to my last used window. Haven't been able to peg universally reproducible steps, but spend any time switching among spaces and windows and you'll come across this.
It often happens with Finder windows. I'm thinking this is because Mac OS X treats Finder as a single app, so bringing Finder forward in one space brings it forward in all spaces. Extremely annoying!
Anyone have a fix for this?
Is there anyway to make windows rollup on Mac 10.6? I prefer rollup in some circumstances to minimising because it allows me to easy bring the window back up again.
UPDATE: Thanks for suggesting WindowShadeX, but it doesn't work on this version :-(
Is there a way to stop the popup window in windows mobile 5 when a new call comes in?
I have an app that I wrote that handles the call and I would rather not have the device even know about the call.
I am trying to hack together a twitter/fb/chat client which will not take up a separate window.
How would I go about embedding a text field on a Mac OS X desktop? That is, I want to be able to type into it, but it needs to sit behind all windows at all times.
I know I can use geektool to display text. Is there a similar program or piece of code that would allow me to do what I want?
I’m getting confused with window 7 experience index; because on one of my home computers with 2 hard disks 7200 rpm configured with RAID 0 I got 5.9 as score on “ Disk data transfer rate “, while on another computer which had only one hard disk 7200 rpm got also 5.9 as score on “ disk data transfer rate “.
Shouldn’t RAID 0 configuration means high read right IO?
I am trying to use the following command:

I see that the orange button on the top left of a window minimize the application to the bottom right dock bar.
If I click on the red button on the top left, it minimizes to the dock bar as well but to the left, and with a light underneath.
What is the difference?
I use the minimal "fast lightweight window manager" (fwlm) which doesn't have a system tray.
I need a simple program to manage my WIFI and virtual private netwok connection --- and found the NetworkManager.
The problem is that the NetworkManager is a system-tray icon: I cannot see it or click on it in my fwlm windows manager. Hence, I ask:
Is there any way to start the NetworkManager directly without using the system tray?

Somehow on this box every time I split a window (^W v or :vs) the original pane scrolls in such a way that my cursor is exactly scrolloff=5 from the top.
I have tried to remove all ~/.vim* and /etc/vim* files but no dice. Even a aptitude purge vim followed by a rm -rf /usr/share/vim/ /etc/vim* didn't change anything.
Note: This seems to be specific to a certain Vim version since I do
not have this on my other boxes with the same .vimrc.

Vim: 7.3

And in my httpd.conf file, i have the following under VirtualHost *:80 definition:

I use a custom logon shell on a machine (windows 7) for security reasons - which works fine by altering
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\shell.
However, I also want that the administrator will still be able to manage the machine, so I modified the user specific key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\shell
back to explorer.exe - but when I log on I get a single windows explorer window, and not the full desktop.
does any one know how to configure the normal desktop shell only to a specific user?

Does anyone know of a application that allows you to create torrent files via the command-line in Windows?
Update: I need a command-line version because I'm a programmer. I need to create the torrent programmatically, I can't have a window pop-up. There's a ton of uses for command-line torrent creation and I think it's very strange that I havent found a command line version from my hours of searching the Internet.
