  • Jmeter Exception response code :000 ,response message:Read timed out,for Java Web service?

    - by vipin k.
I am testing a java web service(jax-ws),but whenever i am running the test i am getting response code as response message:Read timed out . And at tomcat serevr side i am getting exception : SEVERE: caught throwable ClientAbortException: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer: socket write error at org.apache.catalina.connector.OutputBuffer.realWriteBytes(OutputBuffer.java:358) at org.apache.tomcat.util.buf.ByteChunk.append(ByteChunk.java:354) at org.apache.catalina.connector.OutputBuffer.writeBytes(OutputBuffer.java:381) at org.apache.catalina.connector.OutputBuffer.write(OutputBuffer.java:370) at org.apache.catalina.connector.CoyoteOutputStream.write(CoyoteOutputStream.java:89) I found out that Read timed out exception may occur because of big size of SOAP response. But i am clue less because same web service i can access form an application.

  • How to generate proxy for a child class when my web service return a parent class?

    - by Amir Borzoei
Hi * I have a web method like this: public class ParentClass{ public String str1; } public class ChildClass : ParentClass{ public String str2; } public class WebService{ public ParentClass WebMethod(){ return GetFirstChildClass(); //Return a child class } } When I generate proxy for this web service by Visual Studio, VS just generate proxy for ParentClass but I need ChildClass too. For workaround I add a dummy method to WebService that return ChildClass to generate proxy for ChildClass in client. public class WebService{ ... //This is a dummy method to generate proxy for ChildClass in client. public ChildClass DummyWebMethod(){ return null; } } In addition I write web service in java (JAX-WS) and my client is a SilverLight Application. Is there a better solution for this problem? tanx for your help ;)

  • WSDL: What do I do with it? Add service Reference? Noobie question

    - by Johnny
Hey guys! I have been given a WSDL with all the method requests and responses, and all the objects I'll need to use for creating a few webmethods. The thing is, I don't know what to do with it. I've added the WSDL as a Service Reference. I can see the methods and structures, I can instantiate them, it's all there, but the project doesn't build as soon as I add the WSDL. "Error 2 The type name 'ServiceReference1' does not exist in the type 'WSPELab.WSPELab' C:\Users\JJ\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\WSPELab\WSPELab\Service References\ServiceReference1\Reference.cs 21 111 WSPELabSLN Is it a stupid namespace error on my part? EDIT : Forgot to add this. With the WSDL added, can I used the structures it contains directly? Or are they just "listings" for me to implement? Thanks!

  • Is Transport security a bad practice for the WCF service over the Internet?

    - by Sergey
Hello, I have a WCF service accessible over the Internet. It has wsHttpBinding binding and message security mode with username credentials to authenticate clients. The msdn says that we should use message security for the Internet scenarios, because it provides end-to-end security instead of point-to-point security as Transport security has. What if i use transport security for the wcf service over the Internet? Is it a bad practice? Could my data be seen by malicious users? Thanks, Sergey

  • How do I close a database connection in a WCF service?

    - by Dan
I have been unable to find any documentation on properly closing database connections in WCF service operations. I have a service that returns a streamed response through the following method. public virtual Message GetData() { string sqlString = BuildSqlString(); SqlConnection conn = Utils.GetConnection(); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(sqlString, conn); XmlReader xr = cmd.ExecuteXmlReader(); Message msg = Message.CreateMessage( OperationContext.Current.IncomingMessageVersion, GetResponseAction(), xr); return msg; } I cannot close the connection within the method or the streaming of the response message will be terminated. Since control returns to the WCF system after the completion of that method, I don't know how I can close that connection afterwards. Any suggestions or pointers to additional documentation would be appreciated. Dan

  • Creating a process in a non-zero session from a service in windows-2008-server?

    - by Itay Levin
Hi, I was wondering if there is a simple way for a service to create a process in user session? My service is running as a user(administrator) account and not as a LocalSystem acount, therefore i can't use the WTSQueryUserToken function. i have tried calling OpenProcessToken(GetCurrentProcess,TOKEN_ALL_ACCESS,TokenHandle); but when i use this token to run CreateProcessAsUser(TokenHandle,.....) my process is still running in session 0. how can i resolve this issue? I'm using an Ole automation so i don't really care on which session the process will be running on, as long it is not the session 0 - because the Ole from some reason doesn't create its processes (winword.exe for instance) in session 0, but rather it creates them in other user sessions. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks in advance.

  • X:\ is not accessible. Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. Help [

    - by Katherine
I keeping getting the error message from above on multiple computers that I administer. I wasn't sure if I should be posting this on SuperUser or ServerFault so my apologizes if it should go there... Basically, I have at least 5 computers of varying ages (some fresh out of the box!) throwing the above error. X:\ is one of our network drives that is mapped for users. Most of the time if you shut down the biggest application it will fix the problem, but it's becoming an increasing issue, and I can't keep running around fixing it manually. I have tried to do some research, but most of it just states the obvious without supplying a permanent fix. The machines are all running Win XP SP3, with at least 2gb of ram. Sorry for the delay in getting back to people... a lot of good questions. To respond back to people... It is a windows 2003 server that houses the file share. We have about 175 users, however i cannot state how many are actually accessing the information at a single moment. Considering that this is our largest file share, I would say that probably at least 100+. The files we work with are large, but not that big considering that we do a lot of graphical and video work. ~50mb. That being said, this is error occurs simply when trying to gain access to the server itself, not actual files. When I say close a program, I mean that it can be any program. It doesn't matter which program. It varies from machine to machine, and from day to day. Some days it is Firefox, some days it is Outlook, some days it is Excel. There doesn't seem to be a common bond behind which application could be causing the problem. Thank you for the articles, and the recommendation on paging files. I will have to look into that. None of our computers are set to hibernate, so I am going to rule that out.

  • How can I limit access to a particular class to one caller at a time in a web service?

    - by MusiGenesis
I have a web service method in which I create a particular type of object, use it for a few seconds, and then dispose it. Because of problems arising from multiple threads creating and using instances of this class at the same time, I need to restrict the method so that only one caller at a time ever has one of these objects. To do this, I am creating a private static object: private static object _lock = new object(); ... and then inside the web service method I do this around the critical code: lock (_lock) { using (DangerousObject do = new DangerousObject()) { do.MakeABigMess(); do.CleanItUp(); } } I'm not sure this is working, though. Do I have this right? Will this code ensure that only one instance of DangerousObject is instantiated and in use at a time?

  • how to get an SDP record for bluetooth service??

    - by user302798
Hi I'm new to both winsock and bluetooth programming. I need to develop a bluetooth service to run on a pc. Looking at the MSDN library they say to use WSASetService(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa362921%28VS.85%29.aspx) function to publish a service. The problem is that the WSAQUERYSET(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa362920%28VS.85%29.aspx) structure, that has to be passed to WSASetService, needs a binary SDP record and i don't know how to get it. In the Windows embedded section of the MSDN library they describe a procedure to obtain an SDP record using Bthnscreate. I installed Windows CE 6 to use this tool but i can't find it in the install directory nor in the entire system. How can i get an SDP record? Thanks!

  • How to use EJB 3.1 DI in Servlet ? (Could not inject session bean by @EJB from web application)

    - by kislo_metal
I am tying to merging web application(gwt, jpa) to an separate 2 application(business login in ejb/jpa and web client in gwt). Currently i can`t inject my beans from web application (simple servlet) I am using glassfish v3. module limbo(ejb jar) is in dependency of module lust (war). If I use lust with compiler output of limbo everything work perfect (if ejb in web application and the are deploying together as one application). Have I messed some container configuration ? Here is my steps: I have some limbo.jar (ejb-jar) deployed to ejb container. I do not use any ejb-jar.xml, only annotations. package ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.beans; import javax.ejb.Remote; @Remote public interface IPersistentServiceRemote { ArrayList<String> getTerminalACPList(); ArrayList<String> getBoxACPList(); ArrayList<String> getCNPList(); ArrayList<String> getCNSList(); String getProductNamebyID(int boxid); ArrayList<String> getRegionsList(String lang); long getSequence(); void persistEntity (Object ent); } package ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.beans; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetChSchemaEntity; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetKeyActionsEntity; @Local public interface IPersistentService { ArrayList<String> getTerminalACPList(); ArrayList<String> getBoxACPList(); ArrayList<String> getCNPList(); ArrayList<String> getCNSList(); String getProductNamebyID(int boxid); ArrayList<String> getRegionsList(String lang); long getSequence(); long persistPurchaseBox(EsetRegPurchaserEntity rp); void removePurchaseTempBox(EsetRegPurchaserTempEntity rpt); EsetRegionsEntity getRegionsById(long rid); void persistEntity (Object ent); } package ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.beans; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetChSchemaEntity; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetKeyActionsEntity; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.entitis.EsetRegBoxesEntity; import javax.ejb.Stateless; import javax.persistence.EntityManager; import javax.persistence.PersistenceContext; @Stateless(name = "PersistentService") public class PersistentServiceEJB implements IPersistentService, IPersistentServiceRemote{ @PersistenceContext(unitName = "Limbo") EntityManager em; public PersistentServiceEJB() { } ......... } Than i trying to use PersistentService session bean(included in limbo.jar) from web application in lust.war (the limbo.jar & lust.war is not in ear) package ua.co.lust; import ua.co.inferno.limbo.persistence.beans.IPersistentService; import javax.ejb.EJB; import javax.servlet.ServletException; import javax.servlet.annotation.WebServlet; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse; import java.io.IOException; @WebServlet(name = "ServletTest", urlPatterns = {"/"}) public class ServletTest extends HttpServlet { protected void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { service(request, response); } protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { service(request, response); } @EJB private IPersistentService pService; public void service(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { String hi = pService.getCNPList().toString(); System.out.println("testBean.hello method returned: " + hi); System.out.println("In MyServlet::init()"); System.out.println("all regions" + pService.getRegionsList("ua")); System.out.println("all regions" + pService.getBoxACPList()); } } web.xm <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <web-app xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_3_0.xsd" version="3.0"> <servlet> <servlet-name>ServletTest</servlet-name> <servlet-class>ua.co.lust.ServletTest</servlet-class> </servlet> </web-app> When servelt is loading i ge 404 eror (The requested resource () is not available.) • ASP.NET Web Service - Passing a base object with list/collection?

    - by schooner
We need to create a simple web service in ASP.NET that can be called from PHP or other languages. This in turn will be used to update records in a database for an item submission. The core part is fairly simple, we have a base set of fields for the object - first name, last name, birth date, city, etc. In addition however we need to accept a list of items associated with that object that can range from 0-n. Jan 1 2009, ABC May 1 2010, 123 Jun 30 2010, XXXXX What would be the best way to structure this so it can be easily passed to the ASP.NET web service and processed as a single call for the entire object? Would passing the list of items as a single delimted string be a wise approach? Ex: Jan 1 2009, ABC|May 1 2010, 123|Jun 30 2010, XXXXX

  • How do I wait for a service/process to start before continuing a batch script?

    - by Shane McD
I am writing a windows batch script to uninstall some software. However I need to wait after the uninstaller has finished for a service to be restarted before continuing with the next uninstall. I can make the script wait for the uninstaller to finsh using:- for /f "usebackq" %%M in ('tasklist /nh /fi "imagename eq %process_1%"') do if not %%M==%ignore_result% goto 1 But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the script to then wait for a service to start before continuing the script and running more uninstalls. I am open to any suggestions.

  • how to manually deploy a web service on tomcat 6?

    - by opensas
I'm learning how to develop soap web services with java. So far now I've been following this excelente tutorial http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/J2SE/jax_ws_2/ it all goes well, I have my web service working from the command line with it's embeded server, and then, with the help of netbeans I deployed it on tomcat. I'd like to know the steps to manually deploy it on tomcat, in order to learn how it's done, and because I don't like depending on an ide. I mean, I'd like to know how everything could be done from the command line and a text editor. I've also found this link that explains how to manually deploy a servlet to tomcat, http://linux-sxs.org/internet_serving/c292.html but I couldn't find any article telling how to deploy a web service... thanks a lot saludos sas

  • What exactly happens when I call a web service method using PHP::SOAP?

    - by Bedwyr Humphreys
Say I have a simple client/server scenario with one method: // client code $client = new SoapCLient("service.wsdl"); $result = $client.getPi(); ... // server code function getPi(){ return 3.141; } $server = new SoapServer("service.wsdl"); $server.addFunction("getPi"); $server.handle(); Am I right in thinking that when the client makes a call to the getPi() method the addfunction() gets called everytime? Is this really how PHP SOAP web services work? Or is there some caching going on? Thanks.

  • How would I access the Windows Login (Authentication) API from a C++ Service Application?

    - by Gabriel
Let us imagine for a moment that I have a piece of hardware that can act as an authentication for a user on a given system. I want to write an application in C++ to run as a service, look for this device and if found log the appropriate user in. I believe I have found the API's I would need to use to perform the hardware and service portions of the application but am having a hard time nailing down a way to create a "real" user login. Is this possible? If so where would I look to find resources on accomplishing this? I think of it as being an analog to fingerprint scanner login type devices.

    Hello All, I stuck in middle of this situation,Please help me out. My question is that I want to send files (Total 11 PDF Files) to android app using web service. I tried it with below code.Main Class from which web service is created public class MultipleFilesImpl implements MultipleFiles { public FileData[] sendPDFs() { FileData fileData = null; // List<FileData> filesDetails = new ArrayList<FileData>(); File fileFolder = new File( "C:/eclipse/workspace/AIPWebService/src/pdfs/"); // File fileTwo = new File( // "C:/eclipse/workspace/AIPWebService/src/simple.pdf"); File sendFiles[] = fileFolder.listFiles(); // sendFiles[0] = fileOne; // sendFiles[1] = fileTwo; DataHandler handler = null; char[] readLine = null; byte[] data = null; int offset = 0; int numRead = 0; InputStream stream = null; FileOutputStream outputStream = null; FileData[] filesData = null; try { System.out.println("Web Service Called Successfully"); for (int i = 0; i < sendFiles.length; i++) { handler = new DataHandler(new FileDataSource(sendFiles[i])); fileData = new FileData(); data = new byte[(int) sendFiles[i].length()]; stream = handler.getInputStream(); while (offset < data.length && (numRead = stream.read(data, offset, data.length - offset)) >= 0) { offset += numRead; } readLine = Base64Coder.encode(data); offset = 0; numRead = 0; System.out.println("'Reading File............................"); System.out.println("\n"); System.out.println(readLine); System.out.println("Data Reading Successful"); fileData.setFileName(sendFiles[i].getName()); fileData.setFileData(String.valueOf(readLine)); readLine = null; System.out.println("Data from bean " + fileData.getFileData()); outputStream = new FileOutputStream("D:/" + sendFiles[i].getName()); outputStream.write(Base64Coder.decode(fileData.getFileData())); outputStream.flush(); outputStream.close(); stream.close(); // FileData fileDetails = new FileData(); // fileDetails = fileData; // filesDetails.add(fileData); filesData = new FileData[(int) sendFiles[i].length()]; } // return fileData; } catch (FileNotFoundException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return filesData; } } Also The Interface MultipleFiles:- public interface MultipleFiles extends Remote { public FileData[] sendPDFs() throws FileNotFoundException, IOException, Exception; } Here I am sending an array of bean "File Data",having properties viz. FileData & FileName. FileData- contains file data in encoded. FileName- encoded file name. The Bean:- (FileData) public class FileData { private String fileName; private String fileData; public String getFileName() { return fileName; } public void setFileName(String fileName) { this.fileName = fileName; } public String getFileData() { return fileData; } public void setFileData(String string) { this.fileData = string; } } The android DDMS gives out of memory exception when tried below code & when i tried to send two files then only first file is created. public class PDFActivity extends Activity { private final String METHOD_NAME = "sendPDFs"; private final String NAMESPACE = "http://webservice.uks.com/"; private final String SOAP_ACTION = NAMESPACE + METHOD_NAME; private final String URL = "http://192.168.1.123:8080/AIPWebService/services/MultipleFilesImpl"; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); TextView textViewOne = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.textViewOne); try { SoapObject soapObject = new SoapObject(NAMESPACE, METHOD_NAME); SoapSerializationEnvelope envelope = new SoapSerializationEnvelope( SoapEnvelope.VER11); envelope.setOutputSoapObject(soapObject); textViewOne.setText("Web Service Started"); AndroidHttpTransport httpTransport = new AndroidHttpTransport(URL); httpTransport.call(SOAP_ACTION, envelope); // SoapObject result = (SoapObject) envelope.getResponse(); Object result = envelope.getResponse(); Log.i("Result", result.toString()); // String fileName = result.getProperty("fileName").toString(); // String fileData = result.getProperty("fileData").toString(); // Log.i("File Name", fileName); // Log.i("File Data", fileData); // File pdfFile = new File(fileName); // FileOutputStream outputStream = // openFileOutput(pdfFile.toString(), // MODE_PRIVATE); // outputStream.write(Base64Coder.decode(fileData)); Log.i("File", "File Created"); // textViewTwo.setText(result); // Object result = envelope.getResponse(); // FileOutputStream outputStream = openFileOutput(name, mode) } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } Please help with some explanation or changes in my code.   • How to create a RESTful web service in asp.net?

    - by jonhobbs
Hi Guys, I simply want to create a fairly basic REST service, so that I can expose some of the data in my asp.net/SQL server application to the outside works, like this..... http://domain.com/api/offices - would return an xml set of office locations. http://domain.com/api/offices/15 - would return all the details of office 15. It's all fairly standard stuff (including basic authentication) but there seem to be several ways to achieve this using Microsoft technologies and I don't really know where to start. These seem to be the options... 1) WCF 2) ASP.NET MVC 3) ADO.NET Data Services 4) Rest Starter Kit project templates? Which of these is the easiest and most "up-to-date" solution to creating a web service?

  • What would be the wisest choice for a new .Net RESTful web service?

    - by Phil.Wheeler
I want to write my first REST web service using the .Net framework. I've seen fairly passionate comments from various people about which is best and have even found some differing comments from Microsoft. My web service should be fairly simple: I want to expose bus timetable information. I figure the resources I will be concerned about are Fares Timetables (routes, stops) What would be the most appropriate (i.e. not necessarily the easiest, most fun or your personal preference) technology to use out of WCF, ADO.NET Data Services or ASP.Net MVC?
