    I have a mysql table of 3 integer fields. None of the fields have a unique value - but the three of them combined are unique. When I query this table, I only search by the first field. Which approach is recommended for indexing such table? Having a multiple-field primary key on the 3 fields, or setting an index on the first field, which is not unique? Thanks, Doori Bar

    I have a parent table and a child table related to the parent table by some REFERENCE. Suppose I exec a SELECT statement on the child and that it returns the at least one result. Can I arrange for my search to automatically yield all the content of all related parents with this child too? Or must I always take the reference from the child and put this in a second SELECT statement and exec this myself?

    In my XCode's Targets summary screen, the "Devices" drop down is set to "iPhone" (other possible values are iPad and Universal) because I haven't fine tuned the app's UI for iPad. However, will people be able to download and run my app from the iPad in non-fullscreen?     I created an application using seam-gen. The created operation to search the DB ends with and exception (syntax error). The query has a where clause like this: lower(barcode0_.barcode_ean) like lower((?||'%')) limit ? Does hibnerate or seam create the where clause which my DB can't understand? Or is there a workaround for SQL statement related issues in seam?
