  • adding dynamic subdomains to my webserver?

    im trying to add a wildcard subdomain system to my webserver, but its still not working, this is the steps i took: i made a new file vhost.conf in the directory var/www/vhosts/www.example.com/conf/vhost.conf and i put ServerAlias *.domain.com then second of all i made a new dns wildcard on plesk CNAME *domain.com example.com and then i edited my .htaccess file Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(^.*)\.example.com RewriteRule (.*) user.php?user=%1 normally my url would be http://www.example.com/user.php?user=solomon but now i want to like this http://solomon.example.com but the steps i took still deosnt work :)) whats happening here

    Everytime I try to run a Enter-PSSession -ComputerName name, I am logged on to version 1.0 even tought 2.0 is installed. Being the powershell newbie, I looked into the registry in HKLM\SOftWare\Microsoft\PowerShell\1\PowerShellEngine I see these registries http://yfrog.com/gzo5s8j Unfortunately I am unable to change it to syswow64 directory.   • Twitter oauth_callback parameter being ignored!

    Hi guys, I'm trying to get Twitter authentication working on my ASP.NET site. When you create the app on the Twitter website, you have to specify a callback URL, which for sake of argument, I have set to http://mydomain.com I've read the oAuth 1.0a spec, and to override this callback URL with your own custom one you have to send the oauth_callback parameter in the request_token phase (url-encoded of course). So my request URL looks like this: http://twitter.com/oauth/request_token?oauth_callback_url=http%3A%2F%2Fmydomain.com%2Ftwittercallback Supposedly, if all goes to plan, in your response data, you are supposed to receive a new parameter of oauth_callback_confirmed=true in addition to your token and token secret parameters. However, my response comes through as: oauth_token=MYTOKEN&oauth_token_secret=MYTOKENSECRET I know I haven't given you guys the greatest amount to go on, but I'm at my wits end as to why I am not receiving the oauth_callback_confirmed parameter. Without this, my application keeps defaulting back to the callback URL hard-coded on the Twitter website. Please if anyone could help me out, I will be eternally grateful! Thanks, A.

    Tycho is supposed to be a plug-in for maven for building eclipse plug-ins. I have found various blogs and other articles about it, but the contained links to Tycho are all dead or not accessible for the general public, for example: http://www.sonatype.com/people/2009/04/tycho-040-roadmap/ The only thing I found is a project proposal on the eclipse site, but it doesn't reference any downloads: http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/tycho/ I found a svn repository, but it seems to be extremely dated: http://svn.codehaus.org/m2eclipse/tycho/trunk/ So my question is: where do I get tycho from?     XCode frequently seems to lose it's mind, and doesn't color code system classes or provide correct "code sense" suggestions. This is endlessly frustrating. I have rebuilt the code sense indexes and completely restarted XCode with no change. I have built my project to make sure there are no errors and restarted. I have copied my files (sans .svn files) to a different location - same problem. I've already completely disabled the argument "placeholders" because they screw up my documents when i type too fast... all I'm asking for is for the "esc" key to display the correct list of properties and methods.

  • Storing links to internal content pages in ASP.NET MVC

    I'm using a route like this routes.MapRoute( "PageBySlug", RouteType.Regular, "{slug}", new {controller = "Page", action = "Display", slug = "Default"}, null ); to map request to ~/Some-Page-Slug to ~/Page/Display/Some-Page-Slug. When adding content, user can choose to link to existing pages to create references and I then store those links in this format in the datastore: "/Some-Page-Slug". When I run the app in Cassini and pull the link out from datastore and attach it to A tag it looks like this http://localhost:93229/Some-Page-Slug and this link works. But when running the application in virtual directory under some website in IIS, the attached link generates this URL http://localhost/Some-Page-Slug, when it should be http://localhost/virtualdir/Some-Page-Slug. Of course, this generates 404 error. How can I solve this to be universally useful and working under all circumstances? Should I store it differently in the database or should I transform it into correct form in my Views at runtime and how to do that?

  • Appengine not liking my .jspx files

    I have a little app that runs fine on local dev appengine, but appengine itself is not processing my .jspx files. The jspx files are in WEB-INF so they should not be excluded by appengine (as a static resource) I am using Apache Tiles to define my views.     Im looking for a (free) solution to a bookingcalender. Among many candidates Ive found the Jquery Full Calender which has many cool features. One of the reason that I like this one is because it has "drag and drop" and resize, which I also need. But I also need to have the dayview where I the columms monday, tuesday, wedensday, thursday friday .... gets replaced with fx. Room1, Room2, Room3, Room4, Room5, Room6, Room7. Specifically, is it possible to specify the keys for certain query string parameters and have it only append those name value pairs.   • Hyper-V causes boot loop/failure on a non-Gigabyte Win8 Pro system

    Hardware: Intel i7 2600K (not overclocked, SLAT compatible, virt. features enabled in bios) Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z (Z68) 16Gb RAM 256Gb SSD Other non-trivial working parts Adding Hyper-V is causing a boot loop resulting in an attempt at automatic repair by Windows 8 after the second or third loop: I'm trying to get the Windows Phone 8 SDK installed and I've narrowed down my troubles to the Hyper-V feature in Win8. This is required to run the WP8 emulator and there are no install options to omit this feature. My first attempt completely borked the OS as I did not have a recent restore point or system image, so I did a completely clean install and made plenty of backups/restore points. I skipped the SDK install and went straight for the windows feature add-on for Hyper-V. This confirmed that Hyper-V is the issue as the same behavior resulted. I cannot find any hint in the Event Logs. Cancelling automatic recovery causes the same behavior to repeat. I don't have any other VM products installed. My only recourse is to use a restore point, try something else, install it again, and see what happens. No luck so far. I'm on my 10th attempt here. Any help would be much appreciated. I've tried setting 'CPUID Limit' to disabled. This seems to work partly as Win8 boots but no USB devices work at all. I also attempted disabling the usb 3.0 controller as the msdn topic lists an issue with USB controllers on Gigabyte boards. This also doesn't work. The USB devices light up but no input is received by the OS. All of my other bios CPU settings are in line with the info in the post. I'm totally stumped.   • OpenVPN stopped working, what could have happened?

    I have Openvpn, and it worked great when I used it on PC (Windows 8), then I copied all files (Certificates and config) to an Android 4 phone to use them. Now, Openvpn works on the phone, but not the PC. Specifically, when I open Google I get: The server at www.google.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed, but the VPN seems to be connected. I have a simple question, could the problem be because I copied the same files?   • Chained address rewrite in Wordpress

    What I need to do is rewriting this address: (1) http://localhost/wordpress/fake/text-value to (2) http://localhost/wordpress/gallery?somevar=text-value Notes: the remapping must be transparent: the user always has to see address (1) gallery is a permalink to a wordpress page, not a real address I basically need to rewrite the address first (to modify it) and then feed it back to mod rewrite again (to let wordpress parse it its own way). Problems if I simply do RewriteRule ^fake$ http://localhost/wordpress/gallery [L] it works but the address in the browser changes, which is no good, if I do RewriteRule ^fake$ /wordpress/gallery [L] I get a 404. I tried different flags instead of [L] but to no avail. How can I get this to work?
