    Hi. I'm building a location aware mobile application which uses GPS, but i'd like to be able to add cell location too. The best thing I have found so far is to use Google Gears, which has a location API available, but my application is not web based. Are there any good public cell id databases that can be accessed from any kind of application? I have found a few interesting projects out there like OpenCellID, but the database is very poor right now.

  • Why enabling transparency can lead to clipping problems ?

    Hi, I'm working on a 3D graphical application in Java using the Java 3D API. I noticed that every time I was dealing with transparency, all I got in return were some clipping problems. Some parts of the scene weren't displayed properly. It might seem obvious that this would happen in a certain way but I'm looking for a logical explanation, why is this happening? Thank you

N - Number of elements T(n) - Temperature of the nth element in the temperature set How would you implement an efficient MySQL stored procedure or user-defined function (UDF) to determine if T(n) is an outlier?   • Simple javascript string problem in ie6 and ie7

    I have a very simple function that takes a list of comma separated (x,y) points and imports them into a graph. I have FF, Chrome and IE8 installed. I use IETester to test for IE6 and IE7. // Import Data this.Import = function(data) { alert("Data in: "+data); var d; // Make sure the first and the last are start/ending parenthesis if ( (data[0] != '(') || (data[data.length-1] != ')') ) { alert("After if: "+data[0]+" "+data[data.length-1]); return false; } ... In Chrome, FF and IE8, I don't see the "After if:" alert. In IE6 and IE7, I see the following two alerts: Data in: (52,16),(100,90) After if: undefined undefined The "Data in" alert matches in all browsers. Any ideas?

  • PyQt: Get the position of QGraphicsWidgets in a QGraphicsGridLayout

    I have a fairly simple PyQt application in which I'm placing instances of a QGraphicsWidget in a QGraphicsGridLayout and want to connect the widgets with lines drawn with a QGraphicsPath. Unfortunately, no matter what I try, I always get (0, 0) back as the position for both the start and end widgets. I'm constructing the graph with a recursive function that adds widgets to the scene and layout. Once the recursive function is complete, the layout is added to a new widget, which is added to the scene to show everything. The edges are added to the scene as widgets are created. How do I get a non-zero position of any of the widgets in the grid layout?

    Is it a bad idea to split up a application and the database? Application1 uses database1 on ServerX Application2 uses database2 on ServerY Both application communicates over web service API, they are apart of the same application, one application is used to manage user's profile/personal data, while the other application is used to manages user's financial data. Or should just put them together and just use 1 database on the same server?

    Is there an application or API for using/accessing Visual SourceSafe (6.0) under Mac OS X? I'm currently using VSS Connect under Parallels for working with our company's ASP.NET site/s. I currently have my Windows drive shared and try to use TextMate on the Mac side to actually edit files. It would be nice to have the ability to check files in/out outside of my virtual machine though.

    Dear Sirs, The issue arises when the user selects a range on the linechart that cuts off datapoints. When this happens, I would like the chart to tell the user somehow that there are data points three, just outside the range, perhaps by drawing a straight line across the top or bottom of the graph.     Hi. Evaluating Tinymce. I've looked at the docs/source/api, and have a question that I thought I'd pose to the stackoverflow group. Has anyone implemented Tinymce, who can tell me it it's possible to setup Tinymce to restrict a user, allowing the user to only "view" a text file, and be able to add additional buttons to the save/cancel row of buttons..     I'm trying to use the bar_geom function of ggplot2, but I can't understand how to use it. I've made a small sample of my code to show what I am trying to do: library(ggplot2) # sample data sampleData = data.frame( v1=c('a','b','c','d','e', 'f','g', 'h', 'i','j'), v2=c(1:10) ) sampleData$Names = data.frame( Names = paste(sampleData$v1, sampleData$v2, sep="") ) sampleData$Values = c(1:10) # make plot x = sampleData$Values y = sampleData$Names qplot( x, y, data = sampleData, geom="bar" ) I want sampleData$Names to be on the x-axis of my graph, labeling each bar and and sampleData$Values to scale the bar height. I want the y-axis to be specified as a range. I realize that I don't understand how ggplot2 functions as this small example does not work, yet my other example is generating a plot but I cannot specify a y-range as it considers the variables to be categorical.

I want to make GetLastInputInfo() return that I've just used keyboard/mouse all the time - as I've been actively using the computer so that whoever relies on GetLastInputInfo() thinks I'm actively using the computer.
