Uh oh, just did a test.. turns out the other transforms were on UIImageViews. Apparently rotating a label in this xib is causing the crash. But in another file the transforms are working fine: newprofileentry.transform = CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(1.570796326794897); playerb0.transform = CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(1.570796326794897); playerb1.transform = CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(1.570796326794897); Tried substituting deg90 with the full float value, still the same crash. Tried cleaning cache, restarting IB and Xcode, cleaning all targets. Program has been running fine until I just added these labels. Can anybody please help me to modify this so that I can create the setValueExpression for deep properties as well as shallow? Thanks.

  • Python File Meta Tag reading

    Anyone know of a Python module that can pull Tag data from multiple media formats? Trying to build an app that allows for manipulation of ASF (Windows Media Player files, ie WMA, WMV, etc), ID3, including both ID3v1 and ID3v2 (MPEG files, ie MP3), MPEG Audio Bit Stream (ie ABS, MP1, MP2, MP3), MPEG Program Stream (MPEG movies, and DVD and HD DVD video discs, ie MPG, MPEG, VOB, EVO), and ISO Base Media File Format (eg QuickTime, MPEG-4 and iTunes AAC files, ie QT, MOV, MP4, M4A, M4B, M4P, M4V, etc). Don't need ALL of that but just most standard consumer formats like mov and mpeg. I can't seem to find a good module to support that or a library. Any recommendations?

  • Problem inserting android.text.format.Time.toMillis value into SQLite DB on droid

    I'm writing an app for Android OS, and I need to store some time values in the SQLite DB. I have been using android.text.format.Time to store the time values in the app, and then inserting the values as millis into the DB as REAL values. On the SDK emulator, everything works perfectly. On the sole phone I've had the opportunity to test my app (so far), my duration code doesn't work as expected. Some relevant code: private static final String DATABASE_CREATE = "create table " + DATABASE_TABLE + " (" + KEY_ROWID + " integer primary key autoincrement, " + KEY_START + " REAL, " + KEY_STOP + " REAL, " + KEY_DUR + " REAL );"; ... private SQLiteDatabase mDb; ContentValues timerValues = new ContentValues(); ... timerValues.put(KEY_START, stime.toMillis(false)); timerValues.put(KEY_STOP, etime.toMillis(false)); timerValues.put(KEY_DURATION, stime.toMillis(false)-etime.toMillis(false)); int result = mDb.insert(DATABASE_TABLE, null, timerValues); I pull this data from two separate functions with slightly different bits of code, both using Time.set(long millis), both giving incorrect results: The start and stop values come back correct, but the duration comes out 17 hours too large. Am I missing something about calculating durations or does this just seem like there's something "special" about this particular droid? I'll have another droid to test on Monday, but any ideas are appreciated.

  • Access Denied while using System.Diagnostics.Process

    I am trying to use the unmanaged ImageMagick library in my ASP.NET application from the command line using System.Diagnostics.Process. Basically, users will upload an .eps file to the site, and then I will run the command line command to convert it into .jpg. This is the code I'm using to try and run the command: Dim proc As New System.Diagnostics.Process proc.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = True proc.StartInfo.RedirectStandardError = True proc.StartInfo.FileName = "C:\Program Files (x86)\ImageMagick-6.6.1-Q16\convert.exe" proc.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = False proc.StartInfo.Arguments = String.Format("{0} {1}", Server.MapPath("~/logo/test.eps"), _ Server.MapPath("~/certificates/temp/test-1234.jpg")) proc.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = True proc.Start() I am able to run this code just fine on our development Win 2k3 server, but not on our production Win 2k3 Server. I get the error "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Access is denied". The main between the two servers is that the production is 64-bit and runs Plesk to manage multiple domains. I've tried adding rights asp.net user to the ImageMagick directory. The PS Admin says that in the case of Plesk, it's the same account that I use to access the site in VS using FPE. Does anyone know what I might do in order to allow this process to run on my production server? Thanks, Mike

    I have a sample ASP.NET MVC 3 web application that is following Jonathan McCracken's Test-Drive Asp.NET MVC (great book , by the way) and I have stumbled upon a problem. Note that I'm using MVCContrib, Rhino and NUnit. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. The controller action code is the following: [HttpGet] public ActionResult Index() { ViewData.Model = Todo.ThingsToBeDone; ViewBag.UserName = HttpContext.User.Identity.Name; return View(); } From what I have figured out, the app seems to crash because of the two assignements in the controller action. However, I cannot see how there are wrong!? Can anyone help me pinpoint the solution to this problem. Thank you.

  • How to not pass around the container when using IoC in Winforms

    I'm new to the world of IoC and having a problem with implementing it in a Winforms application. I have an extremely basic application Winform application that uses MVC, it is one controller that does all the work and a working dialog (obviously with a controller). So I load all my classes in to my IoC container in program.cs and create the main form controller using the container. But this is where I am having problems, I only want to create the working dialog controller when it's used and inside a using statement. At first I passed in the container but I've read this is bad practice and more over the container is a static and I want to unit test this class. So how do you create classes in a unit test friendly way without passing in the container, I was considering the abstract factory pattern but that alone would solve my problem without using the IoC. I'm not using any famous framework, I borrowed a basic one from this blog post http://www.kenegozi.com/Blog/2008/01/17/its-my-turn-to-build-an-ioc-container-in-15-minutes-and-33-lines.aspx How do I do this with IoC? Is this the wrong use for IoC?

  • Java's Scanner class: using left- and right buttons with Bash

    I'm not too familiar with Linux/Bash, so I can't really find the right terms to search for. Take the snippet: public class Main { public static void main(String[] args) { java.util.Scanner keyboard = new java.util.Scanner(System.in); while(true) { System.out.print("$ "); String in = keyboard.nextLine(); if(in.equals("q")) break; System.out.println(" "+in); } } } If I run it on my Linux box using Bash, I can't use any of the arrow buttons (I'm only interested in the left- and right button, btw). For example, if I type "test" and then try to go back by pressing the left button, ^[[D appears instead of my cursor going back one place: $ test^[[D I've tried the newer Console class as well, but the end result is the same. On Windows' cmd.exe shell, I don't have this problem. So, the question is: is there a way to change my Java code so that I can use the arrow keys without Bash transforming them in sequences like ^[[D but actually move the cursor instead? I'm hoping that I can solve this on a "programming level". If this is not possible, then I guess I'd better try my luck on Superuser to see if there's something I need to change on my Bash console. The following is my code I'm using for testing: if(window.location.hash) { alert ($(window.location.hash).nextAll().html()); } It executes fine, and returns the appropriate html ( The problem is if I add a selector to it ($(window.location.hash).next('.title').html() ) I get a null result. Why is this so? Is nextAll not the correct Traversing function? (I've also tried next+find to no avail) Thanks!

  • Daemon program that uses select() inside infinite loop uses significantly more CPU when ported from

    I have a daemon app written in C and is currently running with no known issues on a Solaris 10 machine. I am in the process of porting it over to Linux. I have had to make minimal changes. During testing it passes all test cases. There are no issues with its functionality. However, when I view its CPU usage when 'idle' on my Solaris machine it is using around .03% CPU. On the Virtual Machine running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.8 that same process uses all available CPU (usually somewhere in the 90%+ range). My first thought was that something must be wrong with the event loop. The event loop is an infinite loop ( while(1) ) with a call to select(). The timeval is setup so that timeval.tv_sec = 0 and timeval.tv_usec = 1000. This seems reasonable enough for what the process is doing. As a test I bumped the timeval.tv_sec to 1. Even after doing that I saw the same issue. Is there something I am missing about how select works on Linux vs. Unix? Or does it work differently with and OS running on a Virtual Machine? Or maybe there is something else I am missing entirely? One more thing I am sure sure which version of vmware server is being used. It was just updated about a month ago though. Thanks.

  • Should Development / Testing / QA / Staging environments be similar?

    Hi all, After much time and effort, we're finally using maven to manage our application lifecycle for development. We still unfortunately use ANT to build an EAR before deploying to Test / QA / Staging. My question is, while we made that leap forward, developers are still free to do as they please for testing their code. One issue that we have is half our team is using Tomcat to test on and the other half is using Jetty. I prefer Jetty slightly over Tomcat, but regardless we using WAS for all the other environments. My question is, should we develop on the same application server we're deploying to? We've had numerous bugs come up from these differences in environments. Tomcat, Jetty, and WAS are different under the hood. My opinion is that we all should develop on what we're deploying to production with so we don't have the problem of well, it worked fine on my machine. While I prefer Jetty, I just assume we all work on the same environment even if it means deploying to WAS which is slow and cumbersome. What are your team dynamics like? Our lead developers stepped down from the team and development has been a free for all since then. Walter

This allows me to replace code such as 'entities.OrderBy( ... ).ThenByDescending( ...)' by 'entities.MyExtensionSortMethod()' (no parameter as well).     hi guys, i'm just learning to put in unit testing for my asp.net mvc when i came to learn about the mock and the different frameworks there is out there now. after checking SO, i found that MOQ seems to be the easiest to pick up. as of now i'm stuck trying to mock the Request.ServerVariables, as after reading this post, i've learned that it's better to abstract them into property. as such: /// <summary> /// Return the server port /// </summary> protected string ServerPort { get { return Request.ServerVariables.Get("SERVER_PORT"); } } But i'm having a hard time learning how to properly mock this. I have a home controller ActionResult function which grabs the user server information and proceed to create a form to grab the user's information. i tried to use hanselman's mvcmockhelpers class but i'm not sure how to use it. this is what i have so far...   • rsync creating thousands of ..ds_store files from mounted volume

    hello there - been using rsync on os x to sync all our website admins. it was working fine until the os x 10.6.3 update! Now it creates thousands of ZeroK folders.   • NHibernate.MappingException - Troubles Shooting Checklist (no persister for)

    Here's a starter list: 1) if hbm is hand generated, is it an embedded resource? 2) if using FNH, does it pass a PerssistenceSpecification test? 3) if not using FNH, can you save and then load the persisted class? 4) more? I'm sure many of you have gotten this one at one point or another. But have you ever gotten it when you knew your mapping was set up correctly? I started getting this exception after I started using a new repository design, but only in one scenario! PersistenceSpecification tests pass, as do all repository methods (using SQLite). The scenario that leads to the exception is when legacy projects from a different db are converted to green field system. The legacy system is from a different database and has it's own session factory, which should be irrelevant because the error comes after previously unconverted Projects are retrieved and in memory. As the routine tries to save these unconverted Projects into the new database, the exception is thrown, full stack trace below. Any ideas on how to build up the trouble shooting check list and solves this problem?
