  Consider My dynamically generated datatable contains the following fileds Id,Name,Mob1,Mob2 If my datatable has this it get inserted successfully, Id Name Mob1 Mob2 1 acp 9994564564 9568848526 But when it is like this it gets failed saying, Id Name Mob1 Mob2 1 acp 9994564564 The given value of type String from the data source cannot be converted to type decimal of the specified target column.   I'm new to PHP sessions and I've come across the following error: Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at somefile:someline). As well as this one: Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent by (output started at somefile:someline). The session_start(); is the very first thing in all of my code. I'm not sure what the problem is. It gave me line numbers but all I do on those lines is start the session. Also - I have a portion of code whose POST action is another PHP page. How can I set a $_SESSION variable pertaining to this page within that action page?

• How Proxy server works with tcp/http connections?

  Since I am a beginner in the world of internet/networking, I always mess up with these kinds of doubts in my head while programming ;) .. My doubts are, While working behind a proxy, how my requests and responses work? Means my request headers and data will first reach to Proxy server- then proxy server sends it(same headers and data) to corresponding server. And server responses to it with a response header and body to the proxy server-then proxy server sends it to my computer. Wright? While using websockets we are upgrading our http connection to tcp. At this time what is happening @ Proxy server? Does the proxyserver also upgrades its connection to plain TCP? After opening such TCP connections, does the proxy server able to track/log those socket messsages? And most importantly, Is the proxy server transparent or acting like an original server infront of a client? Thanks for any answers or helpful links in advance.

• strcat() won't exit

  I'm trying to implement a very basic server in C, one part of which is constructing HTTP headers. To do this I have written a class called header_builder, which basically constructs the headers for me. One of the most basic methods of this class is append_header_line, shown below: void append_header_line( const char *line, char *hdr ) { printf("Adding header line\n"); strcat( hdr, line ); printf("Line added. Adding ending.\n"); strcat( hdr, "\r\n" ); printf("Success\n"); } All it's supposed to do is tack the "line" parameter onto the end of the "hdr" parameter, and then add "\r\n" to the end of it all. The problem is that the first strcat call never exits. When I run this code, all it does is say: Adding header line Which means that the following lines never execute, and I can't figure out why. Any thoughts?

• HTML5 localStorage for assets (stylesheets, JavaScript, images etc)

  To save both client download time and network usage, is it possible to use the localStorage feature of HTML5 to store contents of linked stylesheets, javascript files and binary data (e.g. images), rather than hitting the server each time? Would that just complicate things - since I assume you would have to add the linked asset via JavaScript rather than just a script or link element, breaking the page for those without JavaScript enabled)? Unless you can parse the content (using HEAD requested to check last modified date and other headers) before the browser downloads it. Or best just to stick with 304 Not Modified and eTag headers?

• Doing a POST with cURL but server shows GET

• Problem getting response from server using cURL, file_get_contents, etc

  I am trying to get the response from a server, which is now not giving any response. I tried file_get_contents(), cURL, and tried getting the headers, but apparently the server is not responding. There are no headers returned or any response of any kind. Also, this happens when I try from my web server - it works fine in my local machine. The server I'm calling is an sms server, to use which they've given a url. The problem is only with this particular server. I get response while trying Google. So may be it's caused by the called server. What I wanna know is what could be (or how to find out) the reasons... Any advices?

• How to install X library for use with VC++?

  Hi, i have uptill now worked on linux where its very easy to install opensource libraries using simple configure;make;make install commands.. now i need to use MSVC++ to run some opengl code that includes the standard opengl headers.. but defaultly they arent present.. i downloaded the tar file from freeglut site,it has VisualStudio2008 folder but i have no idea how to use it to install the libs and headers in the standard paths?? is there not a way where i can use some standard procedure similar to linux process?? do i have to it manually?? • How Can I Determine if HTTP Requests/Responses are compressed in IE7?

  I'm trying to use Fiddler (v2.2.2.0) to see if HTTP traffic through IE7 is being compressed. I'm not seeing Accept-Encoding or Content-Encoding request/response headers being sent/returned and I do not need to decode the response data once it's arrived, which leads me to believe that the responses are NOT coming back compressed. However, when making the same requests using FireFox 3.5.7, I could see through FireBug that FF was sending Accept-Encoding and YSlow at least thought my data was coming back compressed. A comment in this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/897989/using-fiddler-to-check-iis-compression suggested that a proxy server may be to blame for stripping out headers and decompressing the content for security reasons. I am using Verizon FIOS for my broadband at home and am now wondering if Verizon is proxying my HTTP traffic? In short, how can I positively confirm/deny that responses are coming back compressed through IE? Thanks.

  I'm having two errors when I test the "mysql_connect()" function in php. I just installed PHP and MySQL from scratch. • Error including errno.h

  Every time I try to compile a project that includes errno.h in linux, I get issues using the error codes. GCC spits out errors saying the error codes aren't declared and I get the same issue with 3rd party projects that are, of course, known to compile. I have the Linux headers for my kernel installed. I have studied the rfc to know the setup the required response headers and this works well on my emulator. • Skip reading strings in matlab

  Is there is easy command in matlab which prevents program from crashing when it reads characters? I use xlsread to read a (20 400) matrix data , the first row and column get disregarded as they have headers, so that: data = xlsread ( ' C:\file.xls') results in data with a size of (19 399). I have a problem, some cells have missing data and it's written ' missing' and on some data sets i have headers reappear in middle. Is there a way to skip these characters without the program crashing and me having to open the file in excel and deleting those fields? Thanks

  I've asked a question about what is "rendering a view". Got some answers: Rendering a view means showing up a View eg html part to user or browser. and So by rendering a view, the MVC framework has handled the data in the controller and done the backend work in the model, and then sends that data to the View to be output to the user. and render just means to emit. To print. To echo. To write to some source (probably stdout). but don't understand then the difference between rendering a view and using the Response class to send the output to the user using its sendResponse() method. If render a view means to echo the output to the user then why sendResponse() exists and vise versa? sendResponse() exactly sends headers and after headers outputs the body. They solve the same tasks but differently? What is the difference?

• Red Hat Yum not working out of the box?

  I have a server runnning Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5.6 in the cloud. My project constraints do not allow me to use another OS. When I created the cloud server, I was able to SSH into it and access the shell. I next ran the command: sudo yum update But the command failed. About a month ago I created another server with the same machine image and didn't have that error. Why is it failing now?
