Adding a link to image breaks jquery slider, help please!

Hi All, I am working on a site for a friend and trying to add a link to each image in a slide show. The slide show uses jquery and a script called easySlider1.7.js. Everything works just fine if the images are left alone, but when I try and wrap the images with a link, the slides no longer progress as they should. form not identifying the new input fields generated through a javascript

Web App fails when moved to production environment. Which server permissions do I need?

I have developed a small web app. This app allows users to upload images. It also produces text files with the names of those images (the names are stored and retrieved to/from an MySQL Database.) I have developed this app using MAMP. To create the uploaded image files I use the PHP function imagejpeg('my/path/name.jpg') and to delete the files I use the PHP function unlink('folder1/folder2/name.jpg') to write to the text document I am using the function fopen('folder1/folder2/name.txt', 'w') all three of these functions produce errors related to permissions - now the site has been moved to a live hosting environment. Why is this? and what permissions do I need to set the folder's folder1 and folder2 to? I know that permission 777 is generally bad because it opens up your server to the public. However what I have found is that the functions fail to work unless I use 777 on the folders. Can anyone shed any light on my dilemma?

If user enters his text in the text box and saves it and again what's to add some more text he can edit that text and save it if required. Firstly if user enters that text with some links I, detected them and converted any hyperlinks to linkify in new tab. Parallel programming in C#

I'm interested in learning about parallel programming in C#.NET (not like everything there is to know, but the basics and maybe some good-practices), therefore I've decided to reprogram an old program of mine which is called ImageSyncer. ImageSyncer is a really simple program, all it does is to scan trough a folder and find all files ending with .jpg, then it calculates the new position of the files based on the date they were taken (parsing of xif-data, or whatever it's called). After a location has been generated the program checks for any existing files at that location, and if one exist it looks at the last write-time of both the file to copy, and the file "in its way". If those are equal the file is skipped. If not a md5 checksum of both files is created and matched. If there is no match the file to be copied is given a new location to be copied to (for instance, if it was to be copied to "C:\test.jpg" it's copied to "C:\test(1).jpg" instead). The result of this operation is populated into a queue of a struct-type that contains two strings, the original file and the position to copy it to. Then that queue is iterated over untill it is empty and the files are copied. In other words there are 4 operations: 1. Scan directory for jpegs 2. Parse files for xif and generate copy-location 3. Check for file existence and if needed generate new path 4. Copy files And so I want to rewrite this program to make it paralell and be able to perform several of the operations at the same time, and I was wondering what the best way to achieve that would be. I've came up with two different models I can think of, but neither one of them might be any good at all. The first one is to parallelize the 4 steps of the old program, so that when step one is to be executed it's done on several threads, and when the entire of step 1 is finished step 2 is began. The other one (which I find more interesting because I have no idea of how to do that) is to create a sort of worker and consumer model, so when a thread is finished with step 1 another one takes over and performs step 2 at that object (or something like that). But as said, I don't know if any of these are any good solutions. Also, I don't know much about parallel programming at all. I know how to make a thread, and how to make it perform a function taking in an object as its only parameter, and I've also used the BackgroundWorker-class on one occasion, but I'm not that familiar with any of them. Any input would be appreciated.

Javascript Canvas Element - Array Of Images

I'm just learning JS, trying to do things without jQuery, and I want to make something similar to this however I want to use an array of images instead of just the one. My image array is formed like this var image_array = new Array() image_array[0] = "image1.jpg" image_array[1] = "image2.jpg" And the canvas element is written like this. Displaying a different one each time it loops. Apoligies if I've not explained this well.

Poster image on embedded youtube video

Hi, I want to embed a youtube video on my website and I need to replace the default poster image that shows up on the video with a jpg of my own. The default image that shows up is a scaled-up thumbnail and is therefore very blurry and pixelated and I need to use a hi-res jpg in place of it. I'm aware that youtube only allows us to pick one of three auto-generated thumbnails, but does that restriction also apply to youtube videos embedded on an external website? If so, is there an alternate way to do this? Thanks!

asp.net regex to find anchor tags and replace their url

Hi -i'm trying to find all the anchor tags and appending the href value with a variable. for example <a href="/page.aspx">link</a> will become <a href="/page.aspx?id=2"> <A hRef='http://www.google.com'><img src='pic.jpg'></a> will become <A hRef='http://www.google.com?id=2'><img src='pic.jpg'></a> I'm able to match all the anchor tags and href values using regex, then i manually replace the values using string.replace, however i dont think its the efficient way to do this. Is there a solution where i can use something like regex.replace(html,newurlvalue)

XNA .FBX Vertex Color Missing

When I vertex paint and export my models from Blender (or Maya) for use in my XNA 4.0 project, I somehow lose the vertex color channel for the model. I use no custom model object or content pipelines and my own shader throws me the error: The current vertex declaration does not include all the elements required by the current vertex shader. Color0 is missing. I tryed to reopen the model in other modeling tools and the vertex colors are there. What could cause the vertex color channel to not get loaded in XNA 4.0? Hello, I've been trying to figure out a way to redirect requests for wildcard subdomains to a specific folder ( called 'core' ) and calling the requested page/file from that specific folder. For example, making all calls to -http://johnny5.mysite.net redirect to -http://mysite.net/core/, or -http://docholliday.mysite.net/login.php redirect to -http://mysite.net/core/login.php, or a final example, -http://jamesbrown.mysite.net/images/feelgood.jpg to -http://mysite.net/core/images/feelgood.jpg. The problem I've been having has been getting the redirect to call the requested page/file from 'core'. I've been able to get the wildcard subdomains to redirect requested pages/files to the root ( -http://mysite.net ), but not to the specific folder ( -http://mysite.net/core/ ). I'm trying to convert bmp files in a folder to jpg, then delete the old files. The code works fine, except it can't delete the bmp's. But to me the code seems fine, since I'm doing everything sequentially. This is all that there is to the program too, so the error can't be caused by code elsewhere.

Can't get ScrollTo to work with keyboard arrows

I'm trying to setup the Jquery plugin SerialScroll with Ariel's added keyboard controls. I'm calling these three JS files: serialScroll.js scrollTo.js keyboard.js (the keyboard control snippet) Html I'm trying to manipulate. Want it to jump from ind-photo to ind-photo on arrow left and right. <div id="photos"> <div class="ind-photo"><img src="2.jpg" /></div> <div class="ind-photo"><img src="3.jpg" /></div> </div> I can't get it to work at all. I know there are likely slight things that are going to be off, but this isn't working at all. Thanks in advance.

Question about Paperclip for Rails

I'm using Papeclip(2.3.1.1) with Rails(2.3.5). In my view I write so: <%= link_to image_tag(p.attachment.url(:small)), p.attachment.url(:original) %, and it becomes into href="/system/attachments/1/original/1.JPG?1270134617 (for a tag) src="/system/attachments/1/small/1.JPG?1270134617" (for img tag). And when I click on the picture, my browser (Firefox) offers me to save or open picture and I want to just open picture in browser without any dialogs. I think it's because link contains ?1270134617 after file's name. How can I fix it?

Changing default image viewer in registry

I want my application to change the program which should be launched if ie. a .jpg (in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT) is launched. The *.jpg and *.jpeg items in the registry references the jpegfile-class, but when I change the value of the default application to open the file, the old default is still launched, but not my program. (I set the value in jpegfile/shell/open/command/ to the path of my application.) In firefox, the right-click menu etc the choice of default viewer will show that my application should be launched, but it isn't.

How I can use the HTTP headers to indicate in the Response that possibility?

Finally I accomplished to cache dynamic images, css, and javascript files using HTTP headers BUT I have a problem now: I have specific dynamic images that are equal but has different URL's. For example: http://example.com/image/src/the-same-image.jpg http://example.com/image/custom/src/the-same-image2.jpg 1 and 2 has the same file content but different URL. This is a problem now because the navigator assumes that the file are different and need to be cached (due to the URL), when the real cached file is only one. I have the possibility to know if the file at the URL's are the same. How I can use the headers to indicate in the Response that possibility, and the navigator will cache only one file?
