    Hi all, We have several Excel files that contains large pivot data table with the same structure For example File A Pivot table (Field A, B, C) File B Pivot table (Field A, B, C) We want to combine them into 1 pivot table (A, B, C). Just want to know which ways we can do it ? Manual way : open a new empty sheet, copy and paste the pivot there and create the pivot again Automatic way : is there some tool that did this ? Thanks

If I use following single MongoDb server : High-Memory Extra Large Instance 17.1 GiB memory, 6.5 ECU (2 virtual cores with 3.25 EC2 Compute Units each), 420 GB of local instance storage, 64-bit platform As a layman, if we quantify I/O, data in MB/sec. How much I/O transactions mongodb server can handle easily, without being burnt out. Consider default settings of EC2 server with Ubuntu and MongoDb version available in AWS marketplace.   • Windows crashes when I try to compress large .MOV file from iPhone

    I have a 40 minute, 6 gigabyte .MOV file that I transferred from my iPhone to my PC. I need to upload the video to Youtube but the file is too large. When I try to compress the video, my computer will shut off when the process reaches 3 or 4 percent. This has happened in Windows Live Movie Maker, Riva FLV encoder, and VLC. Any ideas on how I can get this file down to a reasonable size so I can upload it online?

  • All office apps crash immediately on server 2008

    Hi, I have a brand new windows 2008 server (64 bit) with a brand new installation of Office 2007, fully patched with all windows updates etc. Every time I try to run any of the office apps it crashes immediately, even in safe mode. the only remotely useful information I get is: Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Data: 00000008 If I Run in compatibility mode for windows XP, everything is fine. Anyone ever seen this before? I've tried turning off DEP but that made no difference either Thanks Tim

I ask because I've recently come across tools like dropbox, deepfreeze, returnil, etc, and I'm curious what other ones are out there to protect a new box.     I installed and configured Apache Mobile Filter module for Apache to redirect users to mobile version of our website, depending on their user agents. I configured the module to use WURFL. But as soon as I start Apache it hogs a large amount of memory (without any in-coming web requests): Resident Memory: 300 to 400 MB Virtual Memory: 300 to 650 MB Without this module, Apache was consuming much lesser memory (4 to 10 MB). What could be the reason here?

    I downloaded garageband from mac app store but something happend with my internet connection - probably connection crashed - and downloading (or installing) stopped. When apps instalation didnt start, then I cklicked on install button at Mac AppStore. In Launchpad was created new icon of garageband which was downloaded again and internet connection crashed again.     I'm trying to create a way of opening a set of project files in multiple apps, using Alfred. I know about the File Group extension in the powerpack (I have this), but as far as I can see, there's a limitation in that it only opens the files with the default app. My usage case is this: Open a .html file with Chrome Open the same .html file with MacVim Anyone know a way around this? Maybe an applescript is more what I'd need?

    Is there a simple way in MS Word to get large quotation marks tightly round a paragraph of text, like you might see in print media to mark a quote? If you simply increase the font size of the quote character, it moves too far away from the text it's accompanying. Worse, the first and last lines start to detach from the rest of the paragraph.   • Running Modern UI/Metro Apps as Administrator in Windows 8

    I noticed that on Windows 8's Start screen, I could right click a Windows legacy program (A program which runs on Windows XP, Vista and 7), and I could run it as Administrator. However, whenever I clicked on a Windows 8 Modern UI or a Metro app, I didn't have that option. So here are my questions:- Why can't I run the Modern UI apps as an Administrator? Does it make any difference as far as security is concerned?

It says you can set up custom emails with your domain name, achieving the above goal, but how do i configure these addresses to run through my CURRENT gmail account?   • Speed-up large number of files deletion on NTFS volumes

    Every now and then I need to delete a folder containing something like 500k files from an NTFS volume. I do this with Windows Explorer. Since NTFS journals all the service data changes each deletion is carried out serially and so the whole 500k files deletion takes ages. I remember when I did the same in FAT32 it ran uncomparably faster. Is there any way to speed up deletion of large number of files on NTFS volumes?

  • Why do my VMware Images get so large?

    Hi, I have a Centos VMware Image that I have recreated a couple times, and I notice that after a while it gets pretty large. It starts out at 8 GBs when I make it, and a week or two later it is 25GB and then a month later it is a whole 50GB or so. I am not installing anything crazy on it, and my disk usage on the VM is pretty low. Is there an option that could be affecting the size of these VMs?

  • How to get rid of large gaps in text in MS Word

    When formatting a document such as a resume, MS Word often inserts a large gap in the text--sometimes as much as half a page of blank space. When I try to delete the gap, moving the cursor from the continued text after the gap, it skips over the gap as if it's not even there, and deletes text from the previous point in the document before the gap. I can't "grab" the gap or highlight/delete the gap in any way. Ideas??
