Many embedded tool developers are choosing to migrate their embedded development toolset to an open source IDE platform for a number of reasons. Maintaining an up-to-date IDE with the latest ideas, innovations, and features requires continuous effort from the tool development team. In contrast to maintaining a proprietary IDE, adopting an open source IDE platform enables the tool developers to leverage the ideas and effort of the community and take advantage of advances in IDE features much sooner and without incurring the full risk of experimenting with new features in their own toolsets.   Hi, I'm trying to convert this c code(http://nashruddin.com/OpenCV_Eye_Detection) to the python code, but in c style, he used cvROI thing, since ROI functions are not supported by python-opencv, I tried cvGetSubRect so Here is the eye detection part of the code : eye_region = cvGetSubRect(image,cvRect(face.x,int(face.y + (face.height/4)),face.width,int(face.height/2))) eyes = cvHaarDetectObjects(eye_region,eyeCascade,memo,1.15,3,0,cvSize(25,15)) for e in eyes: cvRectangle(image, cvPoint( int(e.x), int(e.y)), cvPoint(int(e.x + e.width), int(e.y + e.height)), CV_RGB(0, 255, 0), 1, 8, 0) return image; When I run this code, It draws rectangles irrelevant places. I thought, eye_region coordinates are wrong, and tried some coordinates, but it didn't work. Any idea ?   I'm getting the infamous invalid number Oracle error. Hibernate is issuing an INSERT with a lot of columns, I want to know just the name of the column giving the problem. Is it possible?   Ciao a tutti, nella Rails app che sto realizzando, l'utente ha la possibilita' di inserire un post (campo memo) con all'interno una URL. Ad esempio: "bla bla bla bla www.blabla.com bla bla bla ..." Nel mostrare tale post vorrei che www.blabla.com diventasse un link cliccabile (come avviene in twitter). Ovviamente deve essere fatto un parsing della url, immagino usando le espressioni regolari. • DataSetProvider - DataSet to ClientDataSet

  I am trying to take data from a TMSQuery which is connected to my DB and populate a ClientDataSet with some of that data using a DataSetProvider. My problem is that I will need to modify some of this data before it can go into my ClientDataSet. The ClientDataSet has persistent fields that will not match up with the raw DB data. I can't even get a string from the DB into a memo field in ClientDataSet. The ClientDataSet is a part of my data tier so I will need to conform the data from the DB to the ClientDataSet field by field (well most will be able to go right through, but many will require routing and/or conversion). Does anyone have experience with this?

Now I need to send in the body part, a part of a stylesheet (for instance the area from A1:B20). This area has colors, bold font. • In Delphi, Is there a way to adjust the line spacing of a TMemo?

  I'm working with a TMemo component to display some text in a limited space. Currently it's using a truetype font which doesn't ship with windows and is installed by the app when it runs. On my PC (Running Windows XP), the spacing between each line of text seems to be about eight pixels. On a different PC running Windows 7, the line spacing seems to be about 14 pixels, which is pushing the bottom row of text out of visibility on the memo. So, My question is really this: Is this caused by the different versions of Windows? It's all I could think that was different. Is there some way I can adjust this value so it would be consistent across all instances of the application, wherever it was running? Alternatatively, is there a different component I could use which might let me tweak this value?

• Access VBA remove CR & LF only from the beginning of a text string by searching for them

  Hi there I need to remove line breaks from the beginning of a memo type records. I dont want to use the replace function as it would remove all line breaks from the record which is not desired. Its only the line breaks at the beginning of the field that I am interested in removing. Furthermore, the my records do not always begin with a line break so I cant really use text positioning, the solution would be to look for line break at the beginning instead of always expecting it at the beginning. click here for a sample of what my data looks like any help will be greatly appreciated

  Hi! I had develop an intranet on CakePHP witch in one part generates a custom PDF using DOMPDF. The problem is that i have a memo field (mysql text) witch i print after getting the result from PHP nl2br function. The problems is that in some ocasions, this text is too long (even on font-size: 6px) and i need some way to make a page break (get again de header, and footer etc)... or maybe a nice way to get a second column to continue with the text inside. any ideas? thanks so much

• BCB: how to get the (approximate) width of a character in a given TFont?

  It's a TMemo, not that that should make any difference. Googling suggests that I can use Canvas->TextWidth() but those are Delphi examples and BCB doesn't seem to offer this property. I really want something analogous to memo->Font->Height for width. I realize that not all fonts are fixed width, so a good estimate will do. All that I need is to take the width of a TMemo in pixels and make a reasonable guess at how many characters of the current font it will hold. Of course, if I really want to be lazy, I can just google for the average height/width ratio, since height is known. Remember, an approximation is good enough for me if it is tricky to get exact. http://www.plainlanguagenetwork.org/type/utbo211.htm says, " A width to height ratio of 3:5 (0.6) is recommended for most applications"

• Weird exception with OLEDB Parameter Insert

  Getting a strange error when trying to insert data into an Access database using parameters. the line where I am getting a problem is :- thisCommand.CommandText = "INSERT INTO Events (Venue_ID, Date_Start, Date_End, Time_Start, Time_End, Name, Description, Event_Type, Buy_Tickets_URL) VALUES (@VenID, @DStart, @DEnd, @evTime, @evTime, @Name, @Des, @EvType, @SysUrl);"; string desc = GetDesc(rec.EvName); thisCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("@Des", desc); thisCommand.ExecuteNonQuery(); None of the other parameters cause a problem but when trying to insert data to the description field I get a database exception saying the field is too small to accept the amount of data. The problem is my program is only trying to insert 3 characters when it throws the error and the Description field is a memo so should be able to hold up to 65000+ characters. When inserting a value manually in the CommandText everything works fine so it must be something to do with the parameter properties.

• Icon backdrop on Samsung Galaxy S? how to change this?

  Hi all, I see a backdrop being added to my launch icon on the Samsung Galaxy S devices. I need this backdrop changed to a custom backdrop which we created. I know this can be changed since apps like"Daily Briefing" have their own cloud like backdrop making the launch icon look really rich. If anyone does know how to change this backdrop please let me know. I am talking about the background image set behind the icons. Eg: in the below image on the 1st row can you notice the yellow backdrop for Memo app, Green backdrop for Mini Diary app, similarily in the 3rd row notice the green backdrop behind the MAIL app.... I need to change these backdrops. Thanks in advance. Appreciate your help.
