  • Received memory warning on setimage

    This problem has completely stumped me. This is for iOS 5.0 with Xcode 4.2 What's going on is that in my app I let user select images from their photo album and I save those images to apps document directory. Pretty straight forward. What I do then is that in one of the viewController.m files I create multiple UIImageViews and I then set the image for the image view from one of the picture that user selected from apps dir. The problem is that after a certain number of UIImage sets I receive a "Received memory warning". It usually happens when there are 10 pictures. If lets say user selected 11 pictures then the app crashes with Error (GBC). NOTE: each of these images are at least 2.5 MB a piece. After hours of testing I finally narrowed down the problem to this line of code [button1AImgVw setImage:image]; If I comment out that code. All compiles fine and no memory errors happen. But if I don't comment out that code I receive memory errors and eventually a crash. Also note it does process the whole CreateViews IBAction but still crashes at the end. I cannot do release or dealloc since I am running this on iOS 5.0 with Xcode 4.2 Here is the code that I used.     hi i want to read request stream from a custom httpWebRequest class that inherits from httpWebRequest and i have tried to read the request stream in different stages but sitll not sure how to archieve that in the class,thanks very much for any help. This custom httpWebRequest is used to serilize soap message and i want to know what request has been sent in string format. I also implemented custom HttpRequestCreator,HttpWebResponse but till cant find a place/stage i can read the request stream. If i output everything in a memory stream then copy the content to request stream, anyone knows which stage i can do it in the constructor, BeginGetRequestStream,EndGetRequestStream or GetRequestStream?

    I'm having trouble locating BlackBerry techical specifications and their website is a mess. They also don't have a number that I can use to easily contact them. This isn't exactly a coding question, but what does the BlackBerry audio API look like, and where can I get technical specifications on audio? Specifically, I'm trying to find out more information on Audio-In, specifically, through the Mic-In on the 3.5 mm jack.   • How to set cookies via PHP in the middle of a document?

    Hi all, how can I set cookies in the middle of a document, without incurring a 'headers already sent' error? What I'm trying to do is make a log out script (the log in cookie setting works...so odd. Is it because it's enclosed in an if statement?) however I've already echoed the page title and some other stuff at the top of the page, before I've made this logout happen. Thanks!

    I guess it is not possible to set stroke property such as CSS which is quite easy. With CSS we have dashed, dotted, solid but on canvas when drawing lines/or strokes this doesn't seem to be an option. How have you implemented this? Removing the parentheses around the lambda yields Cannot convert 'lambda expression' to non-delegate type 'MonoTouch.Foundation.NSDateComponents'. What is the correct C# syntax? I need to retain the closures as there are a lot more in the code base that I am porting.

  • ZF-Autoloader not working in UnitTests on Ubuntu

    i got a problem regarding Unit-testing a Zend-Framework application under Ubuntu 12.04. The project-structure is a default zend application whereas the models are defined as the following ./application ./models ./DbTable ./ProjectStatus.php (Application_Model_DbTable_ProjectStatus) ./Mappers ./ProjectStatus.php (Application_Model_Mapper_ProjectStatus) ./ProjectStatus.php (Application_Model_ProjectStatus) The Problem here is with the Zend-specific autoloading. The naming convention here appears that the folder Mappers loads all classes with _Mapper but not _Mappers. This is some internal Zend behavior which is fine so far. On my windows machine the phpunit runs without any Problems, trying to initiate all those classes. On my Ubuntu machine however with jenkins running on it, phpunit fails to find the appropriate classes giving me the following error Fatal error: Class 'Application_Model_Mapper_ProjectStatus' not found in /var/lib/jenkins/jobs/PAM/workspace/tests/application/models/Mapper/ProjectStatusTest.php on line 39 The error appears to really be that the Zend-Autoloader doesn't load from the ubuntu machine, but i can't figure out how or why this works. The question remains of why this is. I think i've double checked every point of contact with the zend autoloading stuff, but i just can't figure this out. I'll paste the - from my point of view relevant snippets - and hope someone of you has any insight to this. However I could not find a way to test this scenario. I killed the JVM that was running the JBoss, but it did not restart the service. I need to make the JBoss service end abnormally so that I can ensure it is restarts again. In a nutsehll, I need a way to make JBoss end abnormally. Please help.

I already wrote me a little program to find and load all html files, but now I am stuck at how to extract src, title and alt from the html < img src="/image/fluffybunny.jpg" title="Harvey the bunny" alt="a cute little fluffy bunny"/ I guess this should be done with some regex, but since the order of the tags may vary, and I need all of them, I don't really know how to parse this in an elegant way (I could do it the hard char by char way, but thats painful).

  • Get Windows mobile sound level, especially silent mode

    In Windows Mobile (5,6) you can have different sound volume settings. The volume itself is easy, but how do I differ between the two silent settings? There is one volume setting "vibration only" and one "no sound, no vibration at all". Since my program is using vibration, I'd like to know if windows mobile is set to "no vibration at all", so I don't annoy the user when he wants his phone to be absolutely silent.

    I know about the GetLastInputInfo method but that would only give me the duration since last user input - keyboard or mouse. If a user input was last received 10 minutes ago, that wouldn't mean the system has been idle for 10 minutes - scans, downloads, movies - lots of reasons. So how can we identify whether the system is truly idle or not? Does anyone know what Window's definition of "idle" is? Must be a combination of thresholds - like less than 5% cpu util, less than 3% disk util etc. - along with the user input parameter...anyone knows the exact definition?

  • Best way to version control a WCF application with Git?

    Suppose I have the following projects. The format is [ProjectName] : [ProjectDependency1, ProjectDependency2, etc.] // Service CoolLibrary WcfApp.Core WcfApp.Contracts WcfApp.Services : CoolLibrary, WcfApp.Core, WcfApp.Contracts // Clients CustomerX.App : WcfApp.Contracts CustomerY.App : WcfApp.Contracts CustomerZ.App : WcfApp.Contracts (On a side note, WcfApp.Contracts should not depend on WcfApp.Core, right? Else CustomerX.App would also depend on and thus be exposed to the service domain model?) (CoolLibrary is shared with other applications, so I can't just put it inside of WcfApp.Services.) All of this code is in-house. I was thinking of having 6 repositories for this. The format is [repository folder name] : [Projects included in repository.] 1. CoolLibrary.git : CoolLibrary 2. WcfApp.Contracts.git : WcfApp.Contracts 3. WcfApp.git : WcfApp.Core, WcfApp.Services 4. CustomerX.App.git : CustomerX.App 5. CustomerY.App.git : CustomerY.App 6. CustomerZ.App.git : CustomerZ.App How should I manage my project dependencies? I see three options: I could use binaries which I have to manually copy to each dependent repository. This would be easiest at the start, but my repositories would be a little bloated, and it'd become more tedious as I add more client apps for customers. I could import dependent code as submodules. This is what I will probably end up doing, although I keep reading on the web that submodules are a hassle. I also read that I can use something called the subtree merge strategy, but I am not sure how it is different from just cloning the repo into a subdirectory and adding the subdirectory to .gitignore. Is the difference that the subtree is recorded in the master repository, so (for example) cloning it from a different location will also pull the subtree? I know I asked a lot of questions in this post, but the most important two questions I have are: 1. Am I using the right number and layout of repositories? Should I use less or more? 2. Which of the three dependency management strategies would you recommend? Is there another strategy I haven't considered?
