  • Python error after installing libboost-all-dev on debian [migrated]

    A friend of mine wanted the liboost libraries installed on our shared computer so after installing libboost-all-dev 1.49.0.1 ( A debian wheezy machine ), I get this error when using the "pydoc modules" command on the commandline. As you guessed im not a c/c++ programmer. So I guess my question is, will this hurt something later ? is their a way to install those packages without hurting python ?

  • Troubleshoot Perl module installation on Mac OS X

    I'm trying to install the Perl module Set::IntervalTree on Mac OS X. I recently installed it today on an Ubuntu box with no problem. I simply started cpan, entered install Set:IntervalTree, and it all worked out. However, the installation failed on Mac OS X--it spits out a huge list of compiler errors (below). How would I troubleshoot this.   • PHPMyAdmin works with https Only (not http)

    Hi I've been having a problem getting phpmyadmin to work consistently on my XP desktop and laptop computers for months now. When I type into Chrome's browser on both machines, localhost/phpmyadmin, I kept getting Error #1045 Access Denied for user at root@localhost (using password yes). Eventually, I realized that I had two (2) versions of mysql installed (XAMPP and MySQL Server 5.1) on both machines. So I uninstalled the MySQL Server 5.1I from the desktop and phpmyadmin worked. But when I uninstalled MySQL Server 5.1 from my laptop, it did not work. But I realized I could still get into MySQL Commandline Client using my password and that my databases were still intact. So I uninstalled and reinstalled XAMPP on the laptop and phpmyadmin worked after that. Now I have a new problem. On phpMyAdmin's home page has a message at the bottom: Your configuration file contains settings (root with no password) that correspond to the default MySQL privileged account. Your MySQL server is running with this default, is open to intrusion, and you really should fix this security hole by setting a password for user 'root'. So I located the following lines in config.inc.php file: /* Authentication type and info */ $cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'config'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'root'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = ''; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = true; and I just changed the last 2 lines as follows: $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'mypassword'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = false; As soon as I did that and I tried to access phpmyadmin again, I got the Error #1045 message again, but when I tried https://localhost/phpmyadmin/ I got a red page saying this sites certificate is not trusted would you like to proceed anyway. And now it only works using https. I would really like to settle all my phpmyadmin problems once and for all so here are my questions: 1. Why does my laptop only access phpmyadmin via https? 2. How do I change my password in my configuration file? Also, if you have any other tips regarding phpMyAdmin, they are very welcome. Thanks in advance

    I'm deploying my first django app. I'm familiar with nginx and fastcgi from deploying php-fpm. I can't get python to recognize the urls. I'm also at a loss on how to debug this further. I'd welcome solutions to this problem and tips on debugging fastcgi problems. The reason I'm interested is that certificates used for BizTalk Server AS2 transport require a key usage of Digital Signature for signing and Data Encipherment or Key Encipherment for encryption/decryption, and I want to play around with this feature. I see how to set enhanced key usage attributes with makecert, but not key usage.

    I am having problems using Autofac 2.1.13 and writing my unit tests for my ASP.NET MV2 application. I can't seem to resolve controllers when using the RegisterControllers method. I have tried using the Resolve<() and ControllerBuilder.Current.GetControllerFactory().CreateController() methods but to no avail.     Hello, I am trying to use QSerialDevice in Qt to get a connection to my serial port. I also tried QextSerialPort before (which works on Windows Vista but unfortunately not on Windows XP ..) but I need an API which supports XP, Vista and Win7... I build the library and configured it this way: CONFIG += dll CONFIG += debug I did use the current version from SVN (0.2.0 - 2010-04-05) and the 0.2.0 zip package. After building the library I did copy it to my Qt Libdir (C:\Qt\2009.05\qt\lib) and also to C:\Windows\system32. Now I try to link against the lib in my project file: LIBS += -lqserialdevice I import the needed header (abstractserial.h) and use my own AbstractSerial like this: // Initialize this->serialPort->setDeviceName("COM1"); if (!this->serialPort->open(QIODevice::ReadWrite | QIODevice::Unbuffered)) qWarning() << "Error" << this->serialPort->errorString(); // Configure SerialPort this->serialPort->setBaudRate(AbstractSerial::BaudRate4800); this->serialPort->setDataBits(AbstractSerial::DataBits8); this->serialPort->setFlowControl(AbstractSerial::FlowControlOff); this->serialPort->setParity(AbstractSerial::ParityNone); this->serialPort->setStopBits(AbstractSerial::StopBits1); The problem is, that if I run my application, it crashes immediately with exit code -1073741515 (application failed to initialize properly). This is the same error I got using QextSerialPort under Windows XP (it worked with Windows Vista). If I build the QSerialDevice lib with release config and also my program, it crashes immediately but with exit code -1073741819 Can someone help me with this program or with another solution of getting a serial port to work with Qt (maybe another API or something?) Otherwise I have to use Windows API functions which would mean that my program won't work with UNIX systems.. Current efforts include: Using translate transform Using animation on Canvas dependency properties (Left, Right) Using animation on custom dependency property (Point) and using drawing visuals (formattedtext) Using CompositionTarget.Rendering But the animation is still choppy and resource intensive. Checklist: Confirmed no software rendering is taking place (ms performance tool and checking RenderCapability.Tier) Calling freeze on any imaginable object Running app on dual core machine with decent graphic card (NVidia 9600) Disabled any bitmap effect and transparency Checked all marquee controls out there (same issues) Any ideas (or better yet code example)?

  • IIS7 Mixed Mode Authentication

    We're getting ready to start migrating some of our IIS6 sites to IIS7, and the application currently uses Forms Authentication. We have started getting some requests from various sites to use the Windows Authentication for the users. While this is easy enough to implement (and I've shown internally that there is no issue with the app, as expected) the question then is how to continue to keep Forms authentication for when Integrated Windows doesn't work. I've seen several walkthroughs on how to have it configured on IIS6, and I could do the same thing on IIS7, but then I have to turn on Classic Mode processing. Any solution should also be back portable to IIS6, if possible, to keep the build tree simple. So what are my options on this? Do I setup the app with Integrated Windows Authentication in IIS7, Forms Auth in the web.config, and redirect 401 errors to an "error page" allowing them to login using forms, then back to the regular app? The case when Forms is likely to be needed is going to be reserved for Contract workers, our support staff, and if someone needs to access it on their site from their Extranet. So primarily it's for our staff to login to check functionality and confirm bug reports. I suggested we just maintain that for our support staff to work, we need a Windows login that will always be live, and then we'll just enforce local responsibility on who can login to the site, but I'm told that we would do better to have Forms Authentication. Any thoughts? I can post some of the links of the articles I've already read through if that would help the forum better narrow my needs. Many thanks. tl;dr: How to do mixed mode authentication (forms, windows) in IIS7 without changing to classic pipeline and still be able to use the build in IIS6 if possible.

    I am writing a tool where I need to reflect upon methods and if the parameters of the methods are complex type, then I need to certain type of actions such as instantiating them etc. Now I saw the IsPrimitive property in the Type variable. However, it shows string and decimal as complex types, which technically isn't incorrect. However what I really want is to be able to distinguish developer created class types from system defined data types. Is there any way that I can do this?
